    This is a true gem, one of the best platformers that I played ... ever.
    If you like Mario then make sure you don't miss The Adventure Pals.

    "The Adventure Pals" turned out to be a delightful surprise, offering a really enjoyable experience while playing the entire game with my girlfriend in couch co-op. The game's unique and quirky design, complemented by its humorous elements, lovable art style, and fun gameplay, made it stand out. The boss fights were interesting and the dialogues and references added an extra layer of fun"The Adventure Pals" turned out to be a delightful surprise, offering a really enjoyable experience while playing the entire game with my girlfriend in couch co-op. The game's unique and quirky design, complemented by its humorous elements, lovable art style, and fun gameplay, made it stand out. The boss fights were interesting and the dialogues and references added an extra layer of fun to the overall experience. Furthermore, the characters were endearing, making the adventure even more enjoyable.

    However, I must admit that I found the game's difficulty to be a bit lacking. The overall gameplay felt too easy, including the boss fights, which seemed to lack a significant challenge. While this may not have been an issue for my girlfriend, who isn't as experienced in gaming, it indicates that the game is more suitable for a casual or less skilled audience.

    Unfortunately, we did encounter a frustrating bug during our playthrough. At one point in the game, we experienced a game-breaking glitch that prevented us from continuing. Despite researching the issue, it seemed to be a recurring problem for many players, and no effective fix was available. The only solution we found was to restart the entire game from the beginning, losing our progress and save file in the process. Although we were fortunate that it occurred relatively early in the game, it was still an annoying inconvenience.

    In conclusion, "The Adventure Pals" is a highly enjoyable and entertaining game, especially when played in couch co-op with a loved one. Its delightful art style, humorous elements, and fun gameplay make it a nice experience. However, the lack of challenge in the difficulty and the presence of game-breaking bugs are aspects that need improvement. Despite these flaws, I would still recommend giving it a try, especially if you're seeking a light-hearted and whimsical co-op experience.    … Expand

    A wonderfully charming platformer than has more character in the first five minutes than some manage in their entirety. The inclusion of local co-op means you can make your way through the story with a friend and share the weirdness together.
