Aug 26, 2012Interesting take on combat. Bland everything else. Visuals might make or brake it for some, this is mostly a matter of taste. Special mention to the horrid questing.

Aug 13, 2012Seeking new game? Wanna try something new? Get Tera online 7/10 star. Game was great for me for about 1 month but thats only because I wanted to play it for a month until gw2 came out and I can try that bad game. Tera was alot fun. New and decent graphics

Jul 16, 2012A beautiful game that lacks the depth and complexity expected from other AAA releases. Aside from the innovative combat system and Mystic gameplay, very little in TERA is new, from the stagnant story and questing to end game equipment grind.

Jul 15, 2012The first 8 or so hours were fun for me. I really didn't get a chance to group much, I played more solo than anything, but even the solo-ing was fun. After about level 25, I don't know what happened, but I just lost interest. I hoping to get back in it again, I really want to give it another try before deciding if I should keep playing or not.

Jul 6, 2012Great graphics, amazing character customization, and interesting combat. Just lacked everything else that should be in an MMO. This shouldn't make people want to play this game.
-
Jul 3, 2012This game has the best graphics for a mmo. it has very promising gameplay with many attributes and weapons and armor and classes. while i get some frame drops and some repetitive gameplay i will recommend this game to anyone and defiantly to rpg fans.

Jun 10, 2012I'm really enjoying this game. Good combat. Same old MMO quest line. Asian Storyline is good though. The game is simply amazing. It's terrific. Don't let a bunch of internet trolls troll you. I played in the closed beta, and all the problems in the beta are fixed.
-
Jun 8, 2012Grindy, poor storyline, uninspired design, little content, extremely buggy. As one reviewer put it, TERA wastes your time--this game does not have enough content for even a month. I unsubscribed 3/4ths of the way through my first month, my two friends playing the game did so shortly into their second month. (Lvels 36, 42, and ~30 respectively).
Not worth your money, it will go F2P soon enough. -
Jun 7, 2012I played this game in beta testing, and it DID excite me for a brief time.
The combat system is pretty cool, and (to my knowledge) unique in MMOs.
However, the incredible Asian-ness of the game just ruined it for me. Unless you are an ultra-fanboi and watch anime all the time, you will most likely find the graphical style of this game unbearable. -
Jun 3, 2012High quality graphics, probably the best graphic ever for the current generation MMO. Combat is crazy fun and can't stop killing stuff! There's not much things to praise about the quest system, but at least texts are not too boring to read them through, and by playing with friends, it adds more fun to it which is what MMO is all about.

May 28, 2012Combat system is okay. Just okay. The questing is horrible. Very, very, horrible. The character models are really ridiculous too. If your really into Asian stuff than maybe its for you but i find it stupid.

May 25, 2012Personally Tera feels like a console game acting like it's an mmo. The combat is fun but at the end of the day doesn't really matter nor does it save itself. This game failed in Korea, and it's no wonder.
-
May 24, 2012Absolutely NO endgame whatsoever. Takes less than a week to hit max level. After that, nothing to do. Meaningless PVP, no reward whatsoever. Looks good though.

May 22, 2012Terrific combat nice change of pace. Graphics are eye candy and the game is well optimized. I'd recommend the game to anyone who likes this genre. The game didn't get over hyped so in flying in under the radar.
-
May 22, 2012Great game with lots of replay-ability. I have played this game off an on since its beta release and it has always been my fall back game when I am bored with the current MMO of moment. This game is continuously updated and has a great community and developer. Steam Roxxors the big111

May 18, 2012Another typical asian MMO, no ground-breaking new stuff and the gameplay lacks.
The game looks good tho.
Nothing Special, but not bad.
Meh i'm not impressed -
May 18, 2012High production values, very good looking. Innovative combat. But extremely linear and repetitive. Once you've maxed 1 character, you've done pretty much everything in the game. If you want to make another char, you will do the exact same quests down to the step to level up. Endgame consists of grinding quests for reputation points and running the same 3-4 dungeons over and over again for gear.
-
May 18, 2012I got bored quickly. The game is simply too much of the same old MMO formula. The actiony combat is fun, but that was about it for me. I can't see this surviving as a pay-to-play model with the amount of competition it has.
-
May 17, 2012You just don't know how pretty the environments in this game are until you get to the second continent...Allemantheia, Ethereal forest, Heartwood, Faerie forest, Fountain of Shara, it's all breathtaking.

May 17, 2012I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised by Tera. The graphics are pretty awesome and the gameplay is fun. The characters are unique and some of them have some cool qualities. Overall, a really fun and enjoyable game.
-
May 17, 2012Amazing graphics (best looking MMO I've ever seen). Game play is just so, so. A little grindy but the combat system is unique and novel so it makes up for it.

-
May 16, 2012An awesome game, that has slight draw distance problems, but that is easily over looked with the awesome combat, great graphics and the player ran political system.
-
May 16, 2012Great game. I've been playing non-stop since beta and I am surprised that I am not bored yet. The combat system is really great. I love being able to solo something that SHOULD kill me in one hit... if it catches me! Never played an MMORPG where I get to consider that.
Blocking... is amazing fun. Gotta parry those arrow and smash those little archers! -

May 15, 2012This is got to be the worst game i have ever played.
Great graphics give you that. But the questing system is 20 years old. The combat is just copy and paste from dragon nest, vindictus, rusty heart to just name 3. I am sure there are 100 other korean grindy mmo that has the same combat.
in short, Tera is just a junk game like diablo 3. -
May 15, 2012Great game it really deserves a 10 although due to the censoring of the Elin i have to give it a 9, as the saying goes don't fix what isn't broken... but hey there's still hope right? maybe they will give in the the fans and return Tera to its pure formal glory!

May 15, 2012Just bought a yearly subscription for this game after being disappointed over Diablo 3. Truly a next-gen MMO, it may not have much going for it in the questing department but it's FUN. it's actually FUN. I want to play this game just to play it, not because I want to increase my gear score. I have never experienced that in an MMO before.

May 14, 2012It was fun. The combat was interesting and rather refreshing from other MMOs, however the game itself was killed by the subscription fee. It is a good game, don't get me wrong, but the subscription fee is a terrible system. Getting to the main issues, this game is another grind fest, and you are unable to move while attacking. It's good- but not good enough for a subscription fee.
-
May 13, 2012One of the best MMORPG's for now. Tera has the best combat system of any MMORPG. You must use your skills wisely. Theres is no way to use the Fire and Forget system that other Games have.
The World beautiful with stunning graphics. Tons of Quests are available (Solo and Group Quests). -

May 12, 2012What a refreshing change! Loving this game so far. The visuals are stunning, and each new zone draws me in farther. The combat feels much more active and fluid while retaining the intricacies and variety of skills. I have played MMO's for over seven years, and this is the best one so far. So happy to have found this.

Aug 23, 2012Tera sure makes promise on the "true action combat" that it so advertises, but that change alone to the MMORPG formula isn't enough to flip the genre on its head, especially when you've forgotten about other aspects of it.
-
Aug 22, 2012That being said, Tera is in surprisingly good shape for a game so early in its life cycle. The journey to level cap is mostly entertaining, endgame content is available, and the core gameplay elements are solid.
-
Aug 13, 2012Action-oriented combat and interesting graphics aren't enough to overcome what is overall a rather bland experience.
