Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is an exceptional rogue-like that is tough and fun to tackle. Furthermore, it has mountains of replay value and plenty of character builds to work through. You'll have a great time if you play this alone. However, it excels when you take Shredder down with your friends.

TMNT: Splintered Fate stands as one of the better games seen in the franchise, delivering a busy and accessible action roguelite supported by a tone-perfect narrative. All we need now is for Super Evil Megacorp to make good on that roadmap and beef up the content, but any Turtles fans and roguelite aficionados should find enough here already to spur their next grind session.

TMNT: Splintered Fate is a roguelike that, while not reinventing the wheel, offers a solid and entertaining experience, especially for fans of the Ninja Turtles.

In the end, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate takes the familiarity of Hades and gives it a more familiar skin. The gameplay differences between the brothers provides an incentive to try all four characters instead of sticking to a favorite. The slightly lower difficulty means that upgrading your crew is faster than expected. Considering the large number of roguelikes on the PC, multiplayer — even though it's imperfect — gives this title a leg up on the competition.

Personality, creativity, and co-op multiplayer elevate this Hades-like beyond its rough edges.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate tosses Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael into a Hades-style roguelike. While performance is solid and the inclusion of co-op is welcome, a deference to formula is regrettable.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is a fun co-op roguelike; however, it shows the limitations of a straight mobile port and could use some work, both on the depth of its content and its controls.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate doesn't offer much room for the player to get frustrated or, quite frankly, challenged, as a lot of its difficulty is transparently manufactured and tied to linear progression systems that give the game its structure and longevity. At times, this makes it more enjoyable than even the most well-crafted roguelikes, but this is comparable to the difference between fast food and fine dining: one gives you quick and easy satisfaction, but the other offers an experience you'll remember for months or even years. It's up to the consumer to decide what they are more in the mood for.
