Sep 23, 2021Remember strugling through the most boring lecture in the university? -> The game.
It has it's moments. It has 3 moments. That's it. And an infinite amount of boredome.
I've played Tales of Berseria, Symphonia, Xillia 1 + 2, Zestiria, Abyss but this dude, it's really awful. -
Jan 19, 2023Tales of infinite boredom.
Pros:
Looks gorgeous
Sounds great
Cons:
Game is just an endless chain of corridors filled with monster aka HP bag
Story isn't interesting
Characters are huge cliches, so much that's even laughable
Huge amount of uninteresting cutscenes
Combat becomes really Boring after 10 hours
Do yourself a favor do not play this. -
Sep 11, 2021Spam combat with 0 depth and boring slow animations, havent died once in 20h. Cliche japanese story, boring characters, boring plot, meaningless progression.
Only decent thing is music. Completely overrated. -
Sep 13, 2021No Multiplayer so basically unplayable and not a Tales of Game anymore. Tales of was always heavily focused on Multiplayer and Teamwork which made the Games appealing, apart from the mostly brilliant and catching stories of course, but got worse with every Title and now they gonna scrap that part entirely so Cero Rating for me and defenitely the Tales of Series are now officially dead to me...

Feb 23, 2022It’s not an absolute slam dunk for the return of the Tales series, but it’s a solidly-crafted JRPG with a great battle system and fabulous environments to adventure through. It’s a shame the dialogue and story don’t match the stellar work done elsewhere, but on the whole it’s still a trip well worth taking.

Game World Navigator MagazineNov 30, 2021If you don’t mind the cliché story, you’ll probably enjoy Tales of Arise – it has good graphics, good pacing and fluid (if a bit too easy) combat. [Issue#256, p.64]

Sep 29, 2021The Tales series makes a triumphant return with Arise, a game that delivers excellent, highly polished RPG action that stands above its predecessors. Despite being a RPG, Tales of Arise features a rich combat system that makes the title contend with some of the best action games released this year.
