Dec 4, 2025For over two decades, Syberia has been moving and thought-provoking, and now it can reach new generations, although I am aware that many new players will bounce off it, unable to swallow a certain dose of naivety in this story.
-
Nov 25, 2025Syberia Remastered still enchants with a unique storyline and an original world mixing fiction with „our” world. If you know the first game, the new one can serve as a nostalgic trip to the past. If you’re new here, you’ll get a mix of contemporary graphics and accessibility with gaming artifacts from two decades ago. A one of a kind blend of a remake and a remaster.
-
Nov 17, 2025Syberia is a classic adventure game that truly deserved more than this pretty, but lacking remaster. The story is thankfully as wonderful as ever.
-
Nov 7, 2025Syberia Remaster accurately and respectfully brings a cult adventure up to date, but its uneven technical finish and a few hiccups prevent the journey from being completely smooth.
-
Nov 10, 2025Syberia’s setting and narrative premise were interesting in 2002, and remain so in Syberia Remastered. Thanks to its improved visuals and several quality-of-life features, modern gamers should find it accessible. Unfortunately, the game’s pacing, unadulterated cutscenes, and overall approach to puzzles mean that some parts of Syberia Remastered feel stuck in the past. Fans of the original will enjoy revisiting this new version, but I’m not sure if new gamers will be quite as engaged.
-
Nov 17, 2025A remaster that doesn't add much to the Syberia legend, despite its visual upgrade. It may be impressively beautiful at times, but due to its sloppy implementation and the dubious quality of the changes made to appeal to a younger audience, as a whole it fails to reach the level of the title we played in 2002.
-
Nov 10, 2025A poorly aged adventure full of clichés that even modern graphics cannot revive.
-
Jan 5, 2026Syberia Remastered is an uneven revival. Its redesigned environments successfully capture the spirit and atmosphere of the original, but a couple of issues (visual and otherwise) prevent it from becoming the definitive version. For the uninitiated it’s a mostly accessible entry point into a classic story; for long-time fans, it’s an…okay reinterpretation. It's sadly one more reminder that preserving magic is sometimes harder than creating it in the first place.

Nov 17, 2025Syberia Remastered is not a bad remaster—but it is a timid one, and that is what hurts most. This world, this story, this legacy, deserved a revival that honored Benoît Sokal’s vision with boldness and confidence. Instead, we are left with something in between: a remaster that flickers with brilliance but too often fades back into mediocrity. For newcomers, it offers a glimpse of why Syberia became a classic. For longtime fans, it feels like a missed opportunity—a reminder of just how powerful this story could be if given the chance to truly shine again. Syberia Remastered is heartfelt but incomplete—a nostalgic return that touches the heart, but never fully captures the magic it tries to revive.
