Innovative, but way too short (one hour of gameplay) for it's prize, and kinda easy and boring. You know, thinking of something innovative is not enough for making a good game, this seems like an unfinished product and an inability to make something decent out of a great idea. Not worth the prize, not by a long shot.

Looks cool as hell, with an eye-catching minimalist aesthetic, and has an amazing core mechanic where the enemies only move when you do, creating a puzzle game rather than what you'd expect from an FPS.

And... that's it. Yes, nothing else. Story is awful (well, barely exists actually, but what is there is awful), progression is poor and you've seen everything there is to see inside

And... that's it. Yes, nothing else. Story is awful (well, barely exists actually, but what is there is awful), progression is poor and you've seen everything there is to see inside around 20 minutes. You'll have fun for a bit after that with the challenge modes and so on, but you'll get around two hours out of this game before you're totally done with it.

It's a great proof of concept, but that really is all. Portal 2 understood that a concept is one thing but fleshing it out into a masterful experience is quite another; SUPERHOT definitely does not understand that. If this was expanded on with an exceptional narrative experience and a few more variations on the mechanics (perhaps boss fights and so on?), then you'd be looking at a game of the year candidate. As it is, it's a demo of the year candidate.

It would be fine if it was like 15 dollars, but its 25 and I can't let that crap slide. If you need to lose money very quickly I would just burn it or something, but if you feel like playing a pretty interesting gimmicky first person shooter that is worth 10 dollars less that whats its selling for try Superhot!

This is important to say, there is NOTHING innovative about this game. Everything has been done before, people are just too stupid to look. With that said, let the fans of this crap circlejerk over it while the hype lasts. It will be forgotten soon.

Really boring game, way too easy, even easier when you know where the enemies spawn. All the fans of artsy fartsy games out there, take a hike! I don't like most modern shooters, but this is not the way to go. Way too short, so pretentious that your eyes will do a full 360. The easter eggs don't make it any better. I'm sure some of you will enjoy this, and you have every right to. But me personally found this to be a step back, it's simply an awful game. It should have been sold at a much cheaper price, this is just ridiculous.

Waste of money... Donate your money to Sudanese orphans instead, I'm sure there's more potential among them than in the devs of this game.

I'd like to say that the game is not quite a bad game, it's just that it isn't very good either. While it's a unique and fresh idea, it's also a repetitive and shallow one. The levels have barely changed from the alpha, and the new powers it adds as the game progresses do not help alleviate the repetition.

The plot and visuals are nothing to write home about. There's nothing wrong with

The plot and visuals are nothing to write home about. There's nothing wrong with sacrificing graphics for gameplay, but all the shiny, white lighting effects, white pillars and white walls get grating after a while. I'm no graphics whore, but I'd love to have something to cut the repetitive gameplay.

There really is not much else to say about SUPERHOT. Despite how unique it is, it still comes across as bland and brief. I reckon you should wait for a sale, rather than buying this straight up. It's quite short (took me a bit over an hour and a half) and is not very replayable, at least at the present time.

Making an Oculus exclusive game instantly makes you a **** dev and will ensure that I never buy or recommend your content. Either stop making exclusives or close down.

SUPERHOT's core mechanic does have a good premise, however, doing the same exact level over and over again (after getting scraped by a bullet) without a single variation to each attempt is not fun at all. SUPERHOT is a repetitive, boring and meaningless shooter that fits better in the arcade taking coins.

Could have been a good game, but it's really short and instead of developing more levels they apparently rather spent all their time adding an incredible pretentious and obnoxious story that gets in your way playing the game all the time.

Worst level design in the video game history
    But concept itself is awesome

Too many situations when you don't even know where the **** is the enemy that shot you

Fun concept, but it has super short pretentious story (less than 2 hours), but by that time you're already bored of the gimmicky gameplay and don't want to torture yourself with an endless mode.

The story is very bare-bones. Serial Experiments Lain pretty much emptied this kind of subject the game is trying to convey (maybe it's story served as an inspiration)? Nowadays you need more things to entertain certain audiences, just gameplay alone is not enough (unless you plan on releasing mobile games in the future). I honestly don't think, that it was a good idea to take a dive into the "escapism to technology" lore, at least not in this shallow, entry-level "red pill" way. Expand

Не понравилось мне, но не супер говно конечно, просто игра меня сильно задушила, не могу это никак аргументировать.

Superhot makes everything you do look unbelievably stylish, but offers so little content that three hours with the game was enough for me. It needs more varied enemies, a broader arsenal, larger stages. I believe Superhot’s innovative mechanics can be squeezed for more and I’m looking forward to a sequel. [04/2016, p.54]

Luckily, the core concept coupled with that gorgeous and impactful art style is enough to warrant our recommendation. Your time with Superhot may be fleeting, but you’ll find every second exhilarating.
