    Superhot VR is my first Steam VR game, and it's fantastic! The game doesn't have a story, intricate features, or long gameplay hours. However, I still loved the idea, dynamics, and contrasting picture. The graphics are simple but effective, and the stark white environment really makes the red enemies stand out.

    I didn't try to complete the game as quickly as possible, but I still    Superhot VR is my first Steam VR game, and it's fantastic! The game doesn't have a story, intricate features, or long gameplay hours. However, I still loved the idea, dynamics, and contrasting picture. The graphics are simple but effective, and the stark white environment really makes the red enemies stand out.

    I didn't try to complete the game as quickly as possible, but I still finished it in about 2 hours. After that, there is still a hardcore mode which I will probably spend some evenings on later. The game works great on the Meta Quest 2 with the Air Link, and I think a minimum space of 2x2 meters is required to play. However, a larger play area is always preferred, as with most VR games.

    One thing I don't like about the game is the object-throwing mechanics. It doesn't feel natural, and hitting targets with thrown objects is difficult. I'm actually pretty good at throwing in real life, so I'm not sure if it's just the Quest 2 motion controller, and I need to get used to it, or this is how the game works. Also, perhaps this game needs some soundtrack like in the trailer, so it is a good idea to turn on some music simultaneously. And yeah, I don't know anything about the removed part of the game. Sad that I missed it, but I hope they did it for a reason.

    Overall, Superhot VR is a great VR action game with spectacular slow motion, simple gameplay, and visually appealing graphics. I would recommend it to others.    … Expand

    Base game is good, but developers business practices aren't. They removed content from an old game without offering refunds, or choice. Do not buy this, or any of their future games.

    While not as long as its traditional counterpart the VR version of Superhot is a fantastic experience. Making time move when you do in VR is such a neat and fun concept to mess around with. And once you get good with the controls it can easily make you feel like a badass as you play. Along with the high price tag that the game comes makes it a bit challenging to recommend.     The devs removed content years after release, and it was already too short to begin with. I would absolutely avoid this and any future games from this developer.

    if anyone is reading this, don't even bother on this overpriced game that makes you feel as you are a "flamer" in real life.

    This is easily my favourite iteration of Superhot - the core concept that time only moves when you do just suits the medium so well. If you wanna feel like a badass in VR then pick this game up. Dodging bullets and watching them whir past your head as you fight off the polygonal, glass-like enemies just feels brilliant here. The art style is simplistic yet super clean and unblemished; theThis is easily my favourite iteration of Superhot - the core concept that time only moves when you do just suits the medium so well. If you wanna feel like a badass in VR then pick this game up. Dodging bullets and watching them whir past your head as you fight off the polygonal, glass-like enemies just feels brilliant here. The art style is simplistic yet super clean and unblemished; the universally clinical aesthetic makes this is a very immersive title, and one that looks great on the Quest 2. It's easy to get engrossed in the game and caught up in the terrific gameplay that lets you feel almost effortlessly cool.

    The only thing that feels off is throwing things, as it isn't very intuitive. My throws were more accurate when pushing items forward rather than throwing them overhand.

    Superhot VR is extremely short but quite replayable and there's a bunch of different modes to have a go at, including a great endless mode with a variety of maps. The game is such good fun that it's easily worth the price of admission.

    Amazing, it took Superhot and slammed it into VR, and it just works. I bought this in a bundle for all 3 Superhot games for $25, I just got my VR Headset and I love it. It is a bit short but it is amazing.

    One of my favorite games in VR. The mechanics of SuperHot that worked on PC are even better with a headset. Must play for any VR owner.

    At the moment the very best VR game I have played. It is an action game with turnbased elements. Time moves only when you do, so you have plenty of time to think your next move when necessary.

    It requires a bit more space than other VR games I've played. This is due to the lack of other means of moving in the game than literally walking IRL.     This game is an amazing introduction to VR. The mechanics are easy to learn, and it only needs a standing play area as opposed to room scale, so you can still play it if you don't have a lot of space. It is definitely one of my favourite VR games that I own. Just one extra thing I'd like to mention: Make sure that you're in the exact center of your play area if you don't have much space,This game is an amazing introduction to VR.     Superhot VR is not a copy of the original Superhot with added VR, it is in fact it's own game and story. That being said the story in both Superhot games is abstract and mostly hinting at things that might be going on.

    Superhot VR's graphics and sounds are unique and abstract also, but they work really well in the context of the gameplay. A minimalist style allowing you to simply focus on the slow motion. The break sequences between combat use a more detailed art style but this lets you realise you are entering and exiting a game within a game.

    The gameplay itself is the selling point of superhot and whilst it will take you a little while to adjust to not moving around unless you want time to move, once you adjust it is that exact feature that immerses you fully into the world, you feel more and more like it is real as you go on which only helps to convey the points the plot is trying to make.

    As far as comfortability goes, the game uses a fixed position with no movement at all, it will however require you to grab things far away, crouch and dodge bullets so a medium to large play space is recommended.

    The mechanics of the game are easy to pick up, grabbing, throwing, shooting and dodging all come naturally to you and you find yourself getting faster and more accurate as you play. Some moves such as throwing knives or bottles can be tricky to aim, but if you pull it off the satisfaction in gameplay is amazing.

    On my rig the game ran 100% perfectly with no slowdown or stuttering, I didn't notice any tearing, lag, or obvious bugs or broken features as I was playing through the whole game, very well executed.

    Overall I would recommend this game fully to anyone who has a PC VR system, even if you have played the normal Superhot this game will surprise you and the gameplay feels super immersive.    … Expand

    Gameplay is extremely exciting, but the length of the main campaign is very short, about 1.5-3 hours. Also there can be consistent bug with Oculus Touch controls that can only be fixed by validating and reacquiring broken file.
    Still this is absolutely mast-have experience in VR.

    I can't even imagine playing this as a non-VR game. Absolutely phenomenal action game with a hilariously awesome trailer. I'd recommend this to anyone owning a VR headset, a must play!!!

    One problem in SuperHot is the difficulty to throw things. Many VR games have this problem, but some have not this problem. Take The Lab by Valve for example, in which throwing the stick to the dog is so easy you didn't even have to think about how to do it. In SuperHot, you have to guess how it is implemented to throw something correctly.
    Another problem is the environment geometry, which does not correspond to the colliders, and it can be really frustrating, when a bullet I shot gets stopped in mid-air because of bad collision meshes.

    I would also have loved to have a replay capacity, to show in real-time how I killed the red dudes like in a John Woo movie.

    Oh, and be careful that there are no Ming vases or flat screens lying around. You could be sad after playing an immersive session of the game.    … Expand

    This is an essential game for the Rift and Touch controllers.
    The only game breaker is the face that there is no menu and no way to go to a different level.

    This is the first VR game I purchased for my Vive - it is addictive fun. As a consequence my legs were sore for several days due to ducking and dodging bullets. My only wish is that there was a level builder so that we could design our own scenarios and share them with others.

    If you've played the original, then I think there's a chance you'll be let down by the VR version. It is a completely new game built for VR, which sounds great! Though one major change I was disappointed in was the lack of free movement; sure you can move around your roomscale environment, but you are auto transported to new spots which I found really hurt the experience. Given you move in slow motion, I figured thumbstick/free-locomotion would actually work pretty well in this game. Unfortunately, we don't get to find out.

    Stand in one spot, pull off a handful of moves, then get whisked away to the next scenario. Normally you play a block of about 5 scenarios before you "checkpoint". Fail on the 5th, start back on the 1st. It can get repetitive. And if you miss a ranged enemy and have no bullets/items nearby, you have to move your hands or make strange, extraneous movements to speed time along until he gets into melee range. And miss you can, as thrown objects don't seem to follow any sort of repeatable trajectories. Take your time on your aim and throw lightly to help improve your chances of repeatable throws. In what feels like a patchwork solution to the "distant-enemies-but-no-ammo" problem, a bit later on in the game you get some glitch-force ability which can explode enemies every 3 in-game seconds which, in execution, ends up feeling less like skill & more like a cheat.

    If all goes right, you can feel kinda cool like in the original. Though unlike the original, it is easier to miss and a bit harder to gracefully recover when you do. And since you can't move outside your Guardian-bubble, once the flow breaks, the feeling of "cool" breaks along with it. In the end, it feels like a fairly disjointed experience and a bit meh overall. I don't find it worth the price-tag and it ultimately feels like an average VR experience to me. But I am quite clearly in the minority, just wanted people to take a minute to look into it a bit harder and see if it is truly for them.    … Expand

    Of all the VR games I own, this is easily the best. Alot of games I've played once or twice, or fire up to show friends and family what VR is like. But Superhot was the first game that made me really believe VR could be the future. There are flaws of course; it's much too short for the current price tag of $30 (only a few hours long), limited range of movement, not being available to ViveOf all the VR games I own, this is easily the best. But this is the kind of game that is important to the future of VR -- it's incredibly fun, it's fast paced and frenetic, it immerses you, and you don't want to stop playing it till you've gotten all the way through. If you own the Touch then I can't recommend this game enough, in fact of all the motion controlled games I've played this is the only one I would say is a "must own". Especially if you were a fan of the original game, you will not be disappointed. It's not perfect, but it's about as good a VR gaming experience as is currently available.… Expand

    Ultimately, SUPERHOT VR feels more like the ultimate tech demo than a fully-fledged VR essential. Its gameplay is incredibly engaging, and it’s a perfect title to introduce someone to the capabilities of the Quest, but its runtime is rather short if you’re purchasing it just for yourself. There is replay value in the post-game modes, but you’re more likely to relive the magic by introducing SUPERHOT VR to someone else.

    We still have a problem in the game not evolving past its initial set of ideas, and resting on its laurels long before it gets to the end of its short running time, but this is definitely the most we’ve ever enjoyed it. It’s also another game where Oculus Quest’s superior controls and roomscale tracking makes all the difference.

    Superhot VR’s hypnotic blend of physical, cinematic action is just as entrancing as it’s ever been on Quest. In fact, the lack of wires truly allows you to devote yourself to its endlessly entertaining levels. It might not be worth a second purchase for existing owners but, for those that haven’t played it already, this is the best version of a genuine classic.
