Dumb sexism, catastrophic controls, pretended tuning: racing fans should steer clear from Super Street: The Game.

I really wish I was exaggerating, but I can say without a doubt that outright avoiding Super Street is pretty much a must. This has no redeeming qualities at all. It’s frankly laughable that the developers were bold enough to launch this at a whopping $50. I find it hard to even justify paying $5 for this. I’ve tried free-to-play mobile racers that have been leaps and bounds more enjoyable than this dumpster fire. So, by all means, take your money and your time elsewhere. Super Street is, at best, shovelware to the fullest degree.

Alright, while I will admit that Super Street: The Game is not as bad as people make it out to be, as it is honestly probably the best gameAlright, while I will admit that Super Street: The Game is not as bad as people make it out to be, as it is honestly probably the best game Team6 ever, and will ever make. Yet, I still can't recommend it.

    The Good
-Great vehicle models, with a decent amount of vehicles to choose from.
-Originally, you could only have one project car save slot, now you can own multiple project cars.
    -Great sense of speed.
-Environments are pretty good, with plenty detail, props to crash into, traffic roaming the streets, etc.
-Incredible customization, I mean I am thoroughly impressed by the amount of parts per vehicle.
-Physics aren't perfect, but much better than their previous games, and better than other racing games made in UE4.

    The Bad
-Graphics are very ugly. It has that awful smeared, blurry UE4 look, with settings that don't stick, and reset themselves.
-Inconsistent FPS in certain areas, and no option to automatically turn down graphic settings when playing in split screen, leading to horrible performance when in split screen.
-The most basic, bog standard, generic soundtrack you'll ever here.
-Awful sound effects, literally reusing crash sounds effects from their older games, or even not having sound effects, like no 'boosting' sound.
-Races pay out nothing, leading to a very slow progression.
-For many of the performance part prices, a higher price does not mean better performance. Why make it a higher price if there is no added benefit!
-Cars are way to soft when deforming. I swear that you could sneeze, and blow off the whole front end.
-Way too over priced. Usually I don't **** about price, but charging $40 ($50 on the eShop for Super Street: Racer!) is a ridiculous price for a game like this. Its not worth it.

Lion Castle Entertainment hasn't given up on Super Street, as Super Street: Racer on the Switch was released November 7th, 2019. This means that both Super Street: The Game, and Super Street: Racer have the possibly of being improved on, but as it stands now, Super Street: The Game a disappointment to fans of the arcade racing genre.

I can see why a lot of people didn't like it at first, but the first update improved the game an enormous amount. There is not that many games anymore that try to bring this type of gameplay back to the current gaming era. That's why I respect and like what these developers are doing. I can't wait till the next update arrive. I have a feeling this game will get better with every update. Full Review »
