    The bombs splatter better than ever, the paint is flowing freely, the overhauled campaign seems more open and better arranged than on the console.

    You could toss chubby, pissed off avians at pig houses, but why not play something with a little more personality and depth? With Super Splatters, Spikysnail proves they are an indie studio worth supporting. You'll get a ton of creative puzzles, challenges and addictive physics-flinging for your $10. Super Splatters is one puzzler you'll want to get hooked on.

    Very good at what it does, but what it does isn’t revolutionary. It bears some obvious similarities to certain mobile games, such as Angry Birds, but doesn’t come close to matching them on any level, and one could argue it might be more suited to that platform.

There's nothing like watching your splatter explode against a wall after a 5-step trick and see its last drops successfully reach the last balls. Strangely rewarding.

    While it's indeed a good candidate for short play sessions, and while it clearly looks like a casual game (probably the reason for its lack of commercial success), Super Splatters is quite more than that ; behind the colorful graphics hides a progressively complex gameplay which ends up requiring a lot of skill - think World of Goo. Well it's not as good as World of Goo, but still it's pretty interesting to play.

    The main downside to this game is that some levels are *very* hard, and beating them can be sometimes both a matter of skill & luck (& patience). It really takes a lot if you want to beat 100% of the game (and I don't think I have it), but even without that Super Splatters' original gameplay should keep you entertained for a few hours.

    (PS: Not sure why this game has that often be compared to Angry Birds in reviews, it doesn't do the game justice. Well yeah, in both you indeed throw stuff around to reach other stuff, but that's where the comparison stops)    … Full Review »
