Super Sanctum TD is a rather deep tower defense game in a nice little retro package.

When I first heard about Sanctum and how it was a cross between TD and FPS I was like "When will they make just a TD game" and finally my prayers were answered with this game. This game has so much charm... with the rise in popularity of 'retro' style 8-bit graphics this game has gained my vote as a beautiful game. The problem with TD games is they are made for casual gamers and to me this felt wrong... Super Sanctum TD has challenged that stereotype and really requires you to put some thought and effort into your play (Well at least for me xD).

TL;DR Just play this game; all it takes to fall in love with game is one level.

Quite easy for vets of the genre until late when it gets impossibly difficult, but overall still plenty of good fun. Overall quite similar to Defense Grid... but 8-bit pixelated even-more-generic Defense Grid. Full Review »
