I really wished this game to be an exceptional one, but it wasn't the case. That being said, its not in any way a bad game, is better than the majority of platformers that came out this year. And even though is not good as "A hat in time", there's some fun to be had here.

This is a very easy and quick game, it has tight gameplay and it can even be relaxing at times, but its most evident

It does have a few bad design choices but I can easily recommend this game to anyone who wants a relaxing game or a newcomer to the genre.

It seems that everyone agrees that Super Lucky doesn't bring anything new to the genre. At its worst moments (like the last battle) it even feels 2 console generations behind. There's a lot written about the inflexible camera, which is an atypical game design decision (you have to go somewhere to see if there's something hidden there, not just peek). Most of the time it works, but when you need precision in all 3 axes, like jumping on a flying bee, it's confusing.
Nevertheless, most of the time it is very enjoyable, mostly due to its excellent cast of colourful and well written characters. It's certainly a good game for a kid, or an adult like me who wants to play something during vacations on a laptop or convertible. Thanks to cross buy and a good optimization, I could continue my xbox save on the PC and have good fun.

Nettes. Spiel es hat echt viel Spaß gemacht. Mehr davon! Nicht zu lang, nicht zu kurz. Genau richtig.

Super Lucky’s Tale is a very predictable 3D platformer. It checks all the boxes it needs to while drawing heavily on the genre’s tentpole titles. Due to that derivative nature in conjunction with the title’s very low difficulty and padded progression, Super Lucky’s Tale is a hesitant recommendation, and only for the hardcore platformer fan. There is some laid-back fun here, but nothing about this title pushes the envelope in any substantial way, and won’t be supremely appealing to a non-fan of the genre.

Super Lucky's Tale is a simple yet engaging platform game that players of all ages can enjoy thanks to its pick-up-and-play experience. The game, however, may be too simple for some, and the easy and short experience may be a turn off for others, especially for those who have experienced other excellent platform games this year such as A Hat in Time and Super Mario Odyssey.

Super Lucky's Tale is a classic platform with some problems like the impossibility to control the camera at 360° and some imprecision during the jumps.
