Together, you seek to thwart ex-member Hans Kammler's nefarious plans involving a powerful, mystical substance named Geiststoff.

Embark on a thrilling journey across multiple continents alongside allies such as the exiled chemist Rosa Reznick, Wojtek the Werebear, and the esoteric psychoanalyst Siegfried von Adelsberg. Dispose of your enemies by using each team member’s unique set of abilities inspired by their fields of expertise, and learn to master the art of chaining them together for devastating effects if you hope to be successful.

While there are the occasional small flaws here and there, Sumerian Six is easily one of the best stealth games I’ve played. It’s easy to fall into a trap of making your stealth too easy or too frustrating, but generous player tools and the puzzle-like encounters help it ride that fine line to perfection. While I’m aware stealth games aren’t for everyone, and tactical stealth is a niche of a niche, if any of this appealed to you, Sumerian Six makes a great entry into the genre.

Artificer impresses once again in the strategy genre with Sumerian Six. Expect a challenging game with unique characters and a story that blends history with folklore. The beginning can be frustrating, but after the learning phase you are rewarded with well-designed levels where you can use clever strategies.

Sumerian Six almost perfectly emulates the games from Mimimi, offering a satisfying covert strategy experience that involves weaving through patrols, dissolving bodies, and scaring Nazis to death.

While Sumerian Six does require active engagement, and you will need to work towards conquering each level with patience, it presents rewarding reasons for doing so. There is a balance of challenge here, and one that’s matched by the elation of moving forward, unlocking new skills, perfecting your timing, and finally defeating those magical Nazis. It may tread familiar ground, but Sumerian Six explores fresh territory with every twist, for a game that is moreish and clever at every turn.

A high-quality real-time tactics stealth title, Sumerian Six is full of intricate missions and wonderfully unique scientific abilities for you to unleash upon those pesky Nazis. Artificer have taken the torch from Mimimi Games and are running with it, and I’m so glad they are.

Sumerian Six is clearly going to excite that contingent of weird and wonderful people who love to solve puzzles in a murder-y way. The aesthetic on offer, combined with the fun and fanciful tale of the Engima Squad meeting up and working together to take down a magical Nazi warlord, is plenty to grab you and hold tight. Just keep a pocketful of patience for any silly shit that happens while you’re save scumming your way to victory.
