If you're looking for a decent RTS that's different than the others, Submarine Titans is a good bet.

Monotony should be avoided in future RTS games, and was only slightly avoided in this game with the addition of almost three axes to play on with the depths, and with the concepts it introduced, but there's still a long way to go before it becomes a blockbuster.
