    I am verry suprsie the game when the first time i play it it verry confuse until on the half of the game i known the story also the music in game verry good

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game has some issues with sound outside of the music numbers, but that never stopped me from enjoying it. I beat 3 playthroughs with different options, tried different choices and romances, and keep discovering something new. The songs and the characters are just 10/10. I highly recommend to anyone who loves musicals, visual novels, David Gaider's romances and Critical Role cast! You won't regret it!… Expand

    Enjoyed from start to finish (several starts and finishes now), and the only reason it doesn't get a solid 10 is the audio issues in some dialogues. Otherwise, best game I've played this year.

    Stray Gods is an enjoyable visual novel/RPG, however, it will take some effort to ‌be engaged. One must go through the slow pacing of the beginning, but in doing so, it will reward them with a much more enjoyable experience in the second half. Songs in the second half are memorable and even allow the voice actors to show off their incredible singing on top of their phenomenal acting. TheStray Gods is an enjoyable visual novel/RPG, however, it will take some effort to ‌be engaged. One must go through the slow pacing of the beginning, but in doing so, it will reward them with a much more enjoyable experience in the second half. Songs in the second half are memorable and even allow the voice actors to show off their incredible singing on top of their phenomenal acting. The game has endless replayability thanks to the branching gameplay that allows for different story beats and music. The game is very simple and is an open experience for everyone to play. Technical issues such as bad audio mixing and input lag are largely present, however, waiting a few patches should resolve these problems. As a former theater student, this game was a nice little trip back to the musical world, however it will not be for everyone. If you love musicals and the stacked voice cast, you must play this game. If you are skeptical about the game, I would recommend waiting for a sale. Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical may have some faults, but it has more strengths that help it stick out in its genre and I would be interested in a sequel. I give Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical a 7/10!… Expand

    It is a beautiful game full of emotional music.
    I am not a person to replay a game, yet I am just about to start my third play through, to try out the other options and change the story.

    Good music but I hate musicals. Reminds me of the first time I watched glee and thought it was good but as I kept watching it got worse. It crashed my micro computer and now my IBM is acting weird. Even though I haven't played this game I know it's bad and I wouldn't like it, but I was wrong and watched someone play it and it looked great 8/10 would buy.

    Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is a dazzlingly executed take on familiar stories that breathes new life into old legends. There’s very little gameplay to speak of, but it’s an emotional story and a must-play for musical theater fans and those who are invested in Greek mythology.

    Stray Gods: A Roleplaying Musical offers an enjoyable murder mystery visual novel musical. This is down to the themes and the twist on Greek mythology. The addition of being a musical and the options for the player to change the outcomes of the songs through personality options helps make Stray Gods: A Roleplaying Musical bring a unique experience to video games. It leans more towards being an interactive story than a video game, and maybe any follow-ups can balance this to make it more of a video game. Still, that is not to put a damper on Stray Gods: A Roleplaying Musical, because what is here is a compelling piece of entertainment that I was fully engaged with the 5+ hours it lasted. A new sub-genre has been created with Stray Gods: A Roleplaying Musical, and with anything new, this can mean future iterations can only get better and that excites me seeing how the blend of music and story-driven adventure games could become, because Stray Gods: A Roleplaying Musical is a one-off experience I would like to become involved with again.

    Ultimately… if you like the Tell Tale style choose your own adventure games and don’t mind a theme of music/singing/classical mythology in a modern world… then grab a copy. If you are a huge musical theatre fan then, no question… grab a copy. For the rest of us who can take or leave musicals… maybe have a closer look at some gameplay footage first before deciding if it’s something you want to immerse yourself in.
