Stranded: Alien Dawn is a well-focused survival game with choices that have meaningful and lasting impact. While it could stand to have a few more scenarios, what’s on offer will keep you busy for dozens of hours, and that’s just your first playthrough.

A survival colony builder that generates stories of triumph, disaster, and white-knuckle rescues.

Stranded: Alien Dawn borrows from RimWorld and The Sims, but meshes the borrowed elements into something both unique and immensely rewarding.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is an excellent game in the style of RimWorld, but with a better chosen graphic style. It's a fun survival fight with different objectives based on each scenario. Thanks to the individual settings, it is suitable for players of any maturity and skill level. It's just strange that the survivors don't need water.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is an excellent survival game and one of Haemimont Games' best titles, demonstrating great competence and skill in managing such a complex game. Of course, there could have been more in terms of character customization and graphics style, but aside from that, it is an engaging experience that does not leave you regretting the time spent playing.

Visually, the game doesn't offend, but it doesn't impress either. On the other hand, it manages to elegantly justify it with game mechanics. Nevertheless, Stranded has a huge potential to find its players in those attracted by the genre of survival simulators and management-building games. [Issue#327]

The survival game Stranded: Alien Dawn from Haemimont Games is a great mix between The Sims and Rimworld. We enjoyed the long term satisfying campaigns and had a lot of fun while building a new civilization on a foreign planet.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is a great experience for those looking to get into the Survival/Strategy genre, even if a hardcore fanbase won’t like the lack of options in crafting, character generation, and random events.

A delightful 3D variant of RimWorld with some fresh ideas, but it needs more variety in combat and everyday life.

A deeply complex space strategy game in which you must build your own colony on an inhospitable planet and manage even the tiniest details. All the endings and scenarios will take you a while to discover. The weaker points are its combat system and stupid colonists.

I have no doubts that the Steam Workshop will do wonders with this game. If modding is supported properly by the developers, which it appears will be the case, we could have some seriously impressive mods down the line. I’ve already played around with the Beyond Stranded mod that adds a bunch of new traits, survivors, and expeditions - it’s a clear indicator of what is possible given enough time and effort. As it stands, though, Stranded: Alien Dawn is already a good game, but with more customization, narrative elements, scenarios, and general expansion on some solid foundations, it can become a great game.

  1. Stranded: AD may not contain an entire galaxy’s worth of possibilities, but it knows how to keep you curious about your little patch of land, and it's a pleasure to watch your survivors feast on the fruits of their labour–whether they be beefberries, graincob, or buttermelons.

A colony simulation with 3D graphics while maintaining the gameplay and concept of "Rimworld".
It's mostly interesting, but even as technology advances, the character's movement speed doesn't change, which makes it frustrating.

I think it was necessary to at least have specifications such as increasing travel speed once the roads were maintained. Also, the speed at which equipment deteriorates is so fast that production cannot keep up with it in the early stages.

Installing a MOD would solve the problem, but it would have been better to enjoy it in its vanilla state.

Abysmal... Crashes all the time on a 4080 with a 12900... I'm not even sure why games are released if they have this many bugs.
