A spotless conversion of this top-of-class action-adventure, which shines with excellent boss fights, an exciting scenario, engaging exploration and many entertaining ideas.

This port is really well made and runs super well on all devices I tried it on including the Steam Deck, with a nice properties screenm with DLSS 4 support, tho lacking FSR 4 and still using FSR 3. With all the dlcs included, this is the best way to experience Stellar Blade.

Stellar Blade is one of the best PC ports currently available. The new AI technologies such as DLSS and FSR are not necessary on better rigs and are used for what they were initially created for – to help weaker rigs. The game ran like butter throughout my playthrough, and it even ran amazingly on Steam Deck. On top of that, Stellar Blade itself is an amazing game that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Stellar Blade arrives on PC with an exemplary port, outperforming its PS5 counterpart in performance and responsiveness. With high frame rates, precise input timing, and solid optimization, it stands out in a market full of troubled PC launches. Combat is fluid and satisfying, level design encourages exploration, and the game runs smoothly even on non-cutting-edge setups. Minor FPS drops occur in open areas, and the story lacks depth, but overall, this is a highly competent and immersive action title — and a benchmark for future PC ports.

If you enjoyed Stellar Blade on the PlayStation 5, then you’re going to enjoy it on the PC. At its core, it’s a fun action-adventure game with a complicated backend system. There are some minor hiccups, but it still delivers a solid action-adventure that should keep you occupied for some time.

Technically and visually almost flawless, even more enjoyable to play with a consistently enjoyable fluidity (but preferably with a controller), all without a mandatory PSN connection, this PC version of Shift Up's title sets the bar very high. If you've been waiting for it to go on an adventure with EVE and if you don't have a PS5 Pro, you can go for it without question, unless the price of its different editions could be a deterrent for you.

For character action and Soulslike fans, Stellar Blade is absolutely worth picking up on PC, and it joins a growing roster of like-minded games while simultaneously standing out as one of the better entries in the genre. PC players have been waiting over a year for Stellar Blade to make its way to the platform, and ShiftUp has put in the work to make sure it arrives in the best possible state, delivering a port that lives up to the game's quality and sets a bar for how other developers should approach their PC ports of formerly console-exclusive titles.

While the PC Version doesn’t meaningfully alter the experience, the upgraded framerate and stunning visuals make this an easy recommendation for anyone who missed the game coming to Playstation 5 last year.

Stellar Blade on PC isn't going to win any awards for best graphics of the year, but it's a decent port and a good opportunity to try out a game with good combat and gameplay - even if everything else is questionable.

An excellent PC port of a game that thrives on action. The story is less fleshed out than the main character, but the fast-paced combat is even more immersive on PC.

A well-made action game that could use a bit of trimming and polish here and there, but most of the time delivers solid entertainment. The PC version runs smoothly, so interested parties have no reason to hesitate.

The PC port of Stellar Blade is the best version to play. Graphically and technically, it improves upon everything seen on PlayStation 5. While running it at max settings and in 4K requires a high-end PC, it’s undeniable that the game looks better than ever, and Shift Up’s optimization is excellent. If you're into third-person action RPGs, hack and slash titles, and appreciate the game’s artistic flair, Stellar Blade—despite not being flawless—is a highly recommended option that earns a rightful place at the table among the genre’s greats.

The core game remains the same, with the same flaws as the original title, so we didn’t feel it was right to raise the score for Stellar Blade on PC, as it’s essentially the exact same experience—just with lower latency and a few minor extra contents. That said, the work done by Shift Up is truly outstanding: one of the best PC ports in terms of optimization, flawless on mid to high-end setups, and perfectly playable even on much less powerful machines. If you haven’t played it on PS5, don’t hesitate to dive into this port without any worries.

Stellar Blade continues to be the spectacular adventure we enjoyed on PS5, in 2024, but updated with many more visual options, from 4K resolution and high frame rates to image scaling and more frames with DLSS, and a good performance. Of course, the aspects of the game that could be improved are still untouched here.

Stellar Blade is a good, playable title that will delight those who love spectacular combat – and who can blame you? – and that will hardly make you regret the time you spend on it (a lot, if you are a completionist). That said, however, it struggles to have real flashes of style due to gameplay that is less refined than expected and a story that develops in a rather bland and predictable way, suffering in comparison with its points of reference.

Stellar Blade is not as stylish and intriguing as Nier: Automata, but the result is still impressive — especially when compared to Shift Up's previous projects.
