    Don't trust the critics reviews, this game is very good. Spiders did a wonderful job here, the story is intriguing, gameplay is interesting and many strategies can be used to defeat enemies which are varied and beautiful to see. The French countryside is rendered beautifully: flourishing vegetation, old villages, paths, peasants' houses, markets and the beautiful landscapes. Visually theDon't trust the critics reviews, this game is very good. Spiders did a wonderful job here, the story is intriguing, gameplay is interesting and many strategies can be used to defeat enemies which are varied and beautiful to see.     Gioco assolutamente bellissimo e coinvolgente al massimo. I miei complimenti a Spiders che hanno lavorato benissimo su questo titolo. Non mi trovo d'accordo con le recensioni della critica professionale. E' vero che il gioco usa meccaniche già viste in altri souls ma queste sono espresse al massimo delle potenzialità: gli oggetti e i potenziamenti sono tantissimi, la difficoltà èGioco assolutamente bellissimo e coinvolgente al massimo. I miei complimenti a Spiders che hanno lavorato benissimo su questo titolo. Non mi trovo d'accordo con le recensioni della critica professionale. E' vero che il gioco usa meccaniche già viste in altri souls ma queste sono espresse al massimo delle potenzialità: gli oggetti e i potenziamenti sono tantissimi, la difficoltà è bilanciata bene con un inizio medio-facile e un prosieguo più impegnativo, lo sviluppo del personaggio è molto ben fatto, con vari moduli da attivare, un numero impressionante di armi, potenziamenti, segreti da trovare, vestiario da sbloccare e stili di gioco diversi con cui approcciarci. Veramente ben fatto, il gameplay vi terrà incollati per ore, le ambientazioni paragine sono stupende, quanto di più bello abbia visto graficamente in un gioco. E' uno dei souls più belli che abbia provato insieme ad Elden Ring. Da provare assolutamente, non ve ne pentirete e non date ascolto alle recensioni della critica tradizionale.     I love the SoulsLike genre. This game is not the worst in the genre, but far from the best. The plot may be of interest to those who are well versed in the history of the Great French Revolution. The plot was not very interesting to me. The bosses are completely uninteresting. The game turned out to be simple. But the game still has some special atmosphere and this is a plus.

And that might be Steelrising's best aspect- the setting is a really nice looking revolution era France instead of the typical dark fantasy of similar games. The combat and builds are alright, but had all the flow of Dark Souls 2 (and even has the two-tiers for healing items). This was good for me, as that is the only Dark Souls game I've managed to finish so far. Still, it's really rough around the edges, and the side missions were mostly bland and were piled on at a certain point before the late game rather than more evenly placed throughout (or they would be available but you couldn't advance them until you advanced the main game when it returns to that location anyway). Still, I enjoyed it enough to play it thru to the end, so for me, that counts for a lot.… Expand

    This game is like taking drugs, you won't stop playing once you've started! I really enjoyed playing it. Spiders should deserve a prize for it. Everything is wonderfully shaped: graphics, soundtracks, story, environments, weapons (those are great!). Rating 9/10 without any doubts

    I don't agree with professional critics this time. Why have they assigned such a low rating to Steelrising? Spiders produced a smart game here, exciting, very well implemented both in difficulty progression and in level building. Graphic style is also fabulous: look at the automaton variety, the effects, reflections of the environments, structure of the villages, castles, historicalI don't agree with professional critics this time. Everything is recreated wonderfully with a mix of historical truth and imagination. Aegis is a pleasure to control and to upgrade. There are many power-ups you will find during the adventure, and also many weapons, clothes, modules, etc...It's one of the best action role-playing game on the market, on the same level than the ones by FromSoftware.     I must acknowledge those French guys did a very good job with Steelrising. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be so good. But I had to change my mind because it has nothing less than top AAA games of this genre like Dark Souls or Elden Ring. Plus, it is very nice to play, visually breathtaking, and what amazed me the most was the impressive choice of weapons, all of them perfectly integratedI must acknowledge those French guys did a very good job with Steelrising. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be so good. But I had to change my mind because it has nothing less than top AAA games of this genre like Dark Souls or Elden Ring. Plus, it is very nice to play, visually breathtaking, and what amazed me the most was the impressive choice of weapons, all of them perfectly integrated in that 18th century setting, with unique special attacks, tons of upgrades. There's also suspence sometimes in this game, which makes it even more fascinating to play. Many paths to follow, very good exploration and secrets (especially rare objects improving your skills). Historical references to Louis XVI and his family are also well implemented. What can I say, those are the kind of games we wanna see released.     Can't think of a game better than this in the soulslike genre as far as freshness and creativity are concerned. Here you will not find frustration, impossible bosses, super skilled enemies but every aspect is well-balanced to make you enjoy your journey. The game is difficult as far as you progress but not impossible. It will never make you regret you started playing it.     Un jeu inspiré des souls mais avec une vraie personnalité. Les décors de Paris sont superbes et donnent une ambiance à la fois gloque et historique. Le gameplay est dynamique. Je recommande :)

Bosses are good, enemies are varied and there is a very good Codex which explains everything about places, history, enemies. I hope more games like Steelrising will follow in the next years, only a couple of things should be improved: graphics optimization (it is gorgeous to see but very demanding on PC),Actually, one of the most beautiful Soulslike. It is accessible and very enjoyable. Bosses are good, enemies are varied and there is a very good Codex which explains everything about places, history, enemies.     Honestly it's a pretty good game. Most important thing is very engaging and makes you want to play it again and again. Art design is stellar, setting is very original and unexplored by any other Soulslike game before. There is also a certain backtracking as there are secrets here and there to be found.     This game deserves better score than just average 7 because it is a very good soulslike game , with good story and unique setting. It is super cool to play as a robot and fight other robots during french revolution. The game is challenging indeed. Perhaps not as challenging as bloodborne (which was absolutely unforgiving) but still hard, especially for someone like myself who does not play many soullike games. Graphics are nice, combat is challenging and story is interesting so far. It helps that the game was released at lower price than regular AAA games. Some gamers reported performance issues. I have none so far to report. Perhaps because I bought the game on GOG which sales games DRM free ? I do not know but I am getting steady frame rates around 60FPS, with ray tracing and DLSS enabled on ultra-wide monitor @ 1440p. Also it is worth mentioning that cut scenes are all in 21:9 aspect ratio which is another plus of this game. Overall nice purchase. I cannot wait to destroy my remote from frustration trying to defeat the same enemies over and over again.    … Expand

    -Beautiful graphics
    -Exciting exploration
    -plethora of weapons
    -character development and skills
    -balanced difficulty level

    Cons:
    -you need a beefy PC and top-level graphics card to make it run properly on Ultra settings at 4K
    -some texture loading issues (low res textures appear in the meanwhile, I hope it will be corrected with a future patch)

    Me gusta mucho Steelrising. ¡Es demasiado divertido! Puedes explorar diferentes formas de luchar contra los enemigos, varias estrategias silenciosas o de ataque y con armas siempre diferentes. Hay que decir que gráficamente es una preciosidad. Periodo histórico muy rico en estímulos y curiosidades. Spiders has creado un excelente juego.

    Maybe it's a bad Soulslike game but definitely it's a wonderful action role-playing game or - better - a fabulous imaginative historical game about French revolution. Art direction is top level. Had a load of amusement for 20 hours. Well done, hope to play to its sequel soon

    Terminei o jogo e gostei muito. Tudo foi extremamente envolvente. Gostei muito das atualizações de personagens e módulos. Também é ótimo explorar a França do século XVIII. E a componente artística do jogo é notável. Tenho que recomendar em todos os aspectos. Acima de tudo, compre uma placa de vídeo poderosa para curtir as fantásticas paisagens do jogo!

    Steelrising is a true soulslike that does some wonderful things with the concept of an open world, and its exploration mechanics. I haven't had so much fun with an open world since RDR2. An accessible, satisfying, and excellent game all gamers should try, not only the souls-fanatics one.

    Steelrising is easily one of the best RPGs on the market and manages to even eclipse its predecessors such as Dark Souls series. The gameplay is slow and methodical, but never in a way that feels boring. The game gets hard after a while, but almost always in a fair way.

    Jest to świetny przykład tego, czym powinny być Rpg: doświadczenie, które sprawia, że wierzysz, że naprawdę jesteś częścią świata gry i że masz w tym bardzo duży udział. Właśnie to osiągnęła tutaj ta gra. Jest w równym stopniu zniechęcająca, dostępna, piękna i ohydna, ale każdy aspekt łączy się w tak niezwykły sposób. A Paryż jest bardzo piękny.

    If this game was produced by FromSoftware, it would have collected 90 and 95 by every critic magazine in the world. Unfortunately, this was not the case and the result is a very underrated game which is a gem instead. Didn't have as much fun since the times of Bloodborne. A Must Play!

Alles ist sehr perfekt, von der Kleidung der Ära bis zu den Waffen, von den Landschaften bis zu den in den Leveln gefundenen Objekten. Auch die Langlebigkeit ist sehr gut.     Steelrising adds new ingredients to the Dark Souls formula, creating a world that is an absolute blast. Combat remains as fluid as we’re used to, providing us with even more tools and weapons to master and ignite our sadomasochistic tendencies, even if difficulty is very well balanced here.     Het alomtegenwoordige visuele thema van de dood is net zo zwaar in deze game als in Bloodborne en de ontwerpen van de baas zijn net zo creatief als alles in de originele Dark Souls. Het is opmerkelijk dat Steelrising deze invloeden weet te laten zien en toch opvalt met een eigen identiteit.

    This game is uncompleted for sure. The optimization of the game had been prepared very badly, it's really hard to play with even medium settings.

    The setting of the game looks appealing even though the subject is cliche.

    And of course, another fake Dark Souls game, we're really done with these kind of games. Nothing speacial nor the game promises something interesting...

    Being a fan of almost every genre this game has smashed together into one has made it highly enjoyable, and the ending had me hoping that the next installment (should they choose to make it) gets in the development queue soon. I would like to thank the developers for releasing such a beautiful game we haven't seen in years now

    The frame rate is terrible because it is not optimized.
    Completed in 12 hours. There is currently no NG+, so we have to wait for an update.
    There are many weapons, but there is also a lot of garbage.
    At least I can't recommend buying it at full price now.

    There is nothing new to see here, you once again collect [insert game currency] after slaying enemies, when you die you respawn at the last [insert game save point] you rested at and have one chance to reclaim [game currency] by returning to that spot without    Yet another Dark Souls clone - yawn!     Steelrising drops the grimdark atmosphere in favor of an overly colorful 18th century France backdrop with robots(!). I prefer the dark fantasy which is why this one rates even lower than Thymesia for me. Graphics themselves are alright but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately the game is very poorly optimized so be prepared for a lot of stuttering - in a game that relies entirely on timing! Frame dips are frequent this is an absolute no-go. How these 10 out of 10 morons simply ignore this is beyond me.
    The reason some reviewers seem to get overly excited about Steelrising's graphics probably is due to the fact that the big front runners FromSoft have delivered their games with the same outdated graphics engine from 2011 on and all other titles look next gen by comparison.
    Steelrising also makes the mistake of putting a $50 price tag on this game. Sorry it's a C game lacking anyinnovation, worth $20 max! Definitely a wait for a deep deep sale and only if you are a die hard Souls fan and need to own every game in this "genre". There are much better titles (Mortal Shell, Lords of the Fallen) than this. If you want something that isn't dark fantasy (why would you?) Deck 13 has you covered with The Surge 2.

    Steelrising es un juego con una premisa interesante; un Soulslike con algunos pequeños toques de Hack and slash y Plataformeo, ambientado en un Paris a fines del siglo XVIII, en donde las máquinas toman presencia a manos de Luis XVI... Básicamente una revolución francesa cyberpunk.

    A nivel narrativo, la premisa es más que atractiva, y funciona como una reconstrucción de la historia que    Steelrising es un juego con una premisa interesante; un Soulslike con algunos pequeños toques de Hack and slash y Plataformeo, ambientado en un Paris a fines del siglo XVIII, en donde las máquinas toman presencia a manos de Luis XVI... Básicamente una revolución francesa cyberpunk.

    A nivel narrativo, la premisa es más que atractiva, y funciona como una reconstrucción de la historia que tanto nos gusta ver; lamentablemente, esto se queda a nivel de idea, pues, en la práctica, pierde mucha potencia. Diálogos planos, poca gesticulación de los personajes, nombres no traducidos como decisión estética, entre pequeños bugs y bajo rendimiento en las cinemáticas, hacen que todo se vea muy artificial. Si bien la protagonista es una "muñeca autómata" y sus gesticulaciones son reducidas, su intervención en el mundo tampoco es muy relevante que digamos.

    Como mencioné, el rendimiento es uno de sus graves problemas, así también como sus bugs. En una primera instancia, el juego se ve bastante bien, pero para mantener dichos gráficos son muchísimos los requerimientos que solicita, por lo que se pierde fluidez. Las pantallas de carga, de esta misma manera, son longevas al punto de llegar a desesperar levemente, y si bien el "modo rendimiento" funciona correctamente, se pierde gran encanto en los gráficos, como es de esperarse.

    La jugabilidad me provoca un sentimiento mixto; si bien se trata de un soulslike, y la exploración y el combate, acompañado de la prudencia necesaria son los elementos que funcionan como piedra angular de este género, en Steelrising se sienten un tanto sueltos.
    Primeramente, el combate si bien es desafiante, tiene muchísimas facilidades, al punto de perder muchísima dificultad, y de no establecer la curva de aprendizaje de forma natural; resulta que, para pelear con los bosses, tenemos a nuestra disposición un arma de fuego, que stunea al boss, dejándolo deshabilitado, sin ningún tipo de restricción. Asimismo, el hitbox y hurtbox no están bien definidos, y parece injusto como en reiteradas ocasiones nuestros ataques no llegan al oponente, o visceversa.
    En cuanto a la exploración, me pareció bien desarrollada, digna de soulslike, más no pulida.

    Del OST no hay mucho que decir que no hayan dicho otros medios: es totalmente olvidable, y si bien ambienta de forma medianamente épica la aventura, no perdemos nada intentando jugar el juego con nuestras propias canciones de fondo, a gusto propio.

    Lo más destacable de este videojuego me pareció su arte y su estética, bordeando lo "bloodborniano", y sin saturar mucho el concepto. Como la premisa es atractiva, el modo de desplegar la estética en el juego funciona optimamente, apoyándose en lugares icónicos de Francia, que tuvieron su relevancia historica en dicha época y dicho proceso.
    La amalgama de armas a nuestra disposición, así también como el equipo y la customización del personaje, es otro de los apartados que me parecieron bien trabajados. Tenemos un arsenal de armas bastante competentes, un sistema de puntos muy similar al de cualquier souls, basados en la fuerza, la destreza, o el equilibrio. El equipo también otorga una personalización de personajes y atributos que hacen más personal nuestra experiencia, siendo de esta manera bastante inmersivo en este aspecto.
    Por último, la herramienta de los módulos también resulta funcional y útil, y aporta con estadísticas adicionales a la facilitación de nuestros objetivos, haciendo la experiencia aun más propia.

    Steelrising no es un mal juego, pero, lamentablemente (y como efecto de los soulslike fuera de FromSoftware) queda muy corto con lo que proponía. Teniendo en cuenta que es un indie, de aproximadamente 10 horas de duración, lo situamos inmediatamente en comparación a Thymesia, y, como mencioné, el efecto soulslike se da a luz; la vara está extremadamente alta para juegos de este género debido al trabajo de FromSoftware, y si bien Steelrising no hace un mal intento, no logra satisfacer del todo las necesidades de un juego de esta índole, logrando cosas interesantes, ciertamente, pero no logrando superar las expectativas.    … Expand

    Graphics are terrible, cant run ultra textures with RTX 3080 and it looks like 2012 title at best, they didnt optimize it at all i guess, this game looks and plays like cheap DS clone.

    And what, nevertheless, killed this interest? ...the absolute epsence of optimization, very sharp and crooked movements of enemies (which for me personally completely killed the parry option), and the very concept of solus-like. I don't think this game needs it at all. Many people wrote that the game is easy and I'm happy for them, but exactly what I expected from this game to be different - made me give it up somewhere in the middle.
    Before telling me anything about my skills, I ended both parts of Nioh (along with the challenges inside the game) and Sekiro. So please keep comments like this to yourself. By the way, the hit boxes here are the same curves as in Sekiro, since you can get damage from the air.

Aegis is one of the best protagonists of the year, and with her I had some of the most fast-paced and engaging combat I've experienced out of a souls-like game since Bloodborne. Graphics are also extremely impressive considering the size of the studio. So often while playing this game I would just stop what I'm doing to explore a room, check out the detail on a statue,Extraordinarily fun. Aegis is one of the best protagonists of the year, and with her I had some of the most fast-paced and engaging combat I've experienced out of a souls-like game since Bloodborne. Graphics are also extremely impressive considering the size of the studio. So often while playing this game I would just stop what I'm doing to explore a room, check out the detail on a statue, or just gaze out across the city. Aegis also has some great customization, and this game is sorely lacking a photo mode to really capture her and the many outfits you can give her.

    The game does have its flaws - while fun, the combat is easy to cheese. Consumables seriously need to be limited to prevent spam and bosses all around need to attack more often and have higher alchemical resistances. You can get essentially infinite healing in this game which is just absurd. Other than that, I just have a lot of smaller gripes about facial animations, occasional difficulty in telling which doors are usable and which ones aren't, and a little annoyance about the end, which I won't get into here.

    But even while this game isn't perfect, I had a really good time with it, and considering this comes from a smaller studio this is just an incredible piece of art and I cannot wait to see where Spider goes from here.    … Expand

    Yan görevler falan da vardı ama oyun çok sarmadığı için uğraşmadım. Hatta son 2 bölümü etraftaki düşmanlarla hiç uğraşmadan direkt boss'lara koşarak geçtim.

    A good game with good graphics. The story is also quite interesting. The variability of the combat system is also a plus.
    Among the disadvantages are the very low difficulty of the game, not the best optimization (Elden Ring worked better), and the game design of the locations is quite primitive. Also, the locations themselves are boring, mostly streets and corridors of palaces.

    Steelrising is completely different from what the fans of Spiders’ previous games could expect. It copies traditional soulslike mechanics but does stand out thanks to an interesting art direction and options that let you adjust the difficulty level to your liking. It should have been optimized better though, because the game’s visual quality does not justify its thirst for processing power.
