Dec 25, 2011As a jaded 5 year WoW player this is a refreshing alternative, especially considering what's in wait for if you stick with the former (Pokemon ... sheeesh !). It has what WoW lacks, in depth storyline. I predict that for the next WoW expansion after MoP it will have that, in depth storyline, companions..... and spaceships.

Jan 18, 2012Pretty good game overall. You do need to have an active subscription to play, though, so beware. The focus on story would be fine, but I don't think user-made content is even going to be considered in the future. There are a few technical issues, sometimes bordering on game-crushing. THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY.

Jan 31, 2012I like this game, best mmo I've ever played. I like the community so far, haven't run into any jerks like I did so often in WoW. Stories are interesting, and game play feels good. It needs a bit of work which is why it's not getting a 10 but to be fair every mmo always need work.

Feb 2, 2012Not a fan of MMO's but the story lines for the characters I have made (Sith Warrior, Jedi Guardian, and Jedi Councilor) have been quite enjoyable. Lots of quests and missions that can be completed solo or in a group. This game really pulled through for me and will have my hard earned money until I finish the main stories.

Feb 8, 2012Needs work, but the foundation is there to grow and expand on with time. Space combat, pvp, Quests, Datacron hunting, and companions give you playtime if you tire of one.

Sep 18, 2013Has great story and fun to play with friends. It is still better to be a subscriber but can do a lot of the game for free. Have leveled up a few characters and done as many quests as I can and still end up under leveled sometimes. Has a bit of challenge to it but is best for the story. Can be tedious at times and difficult by yourself. Best played with a group and not taken very seriously.

Mar 13, 2012i thought it was a really good game, yes there was some grind but what would a mmo be without grinding?
i have played rift and wow and they all have grinding so i just say sit back and enjoy the story and if you don't like it do not play it -

Apr 23, 2012LucasArts generally exercised greater quality control of Star Wars games than most licensed properties receive, though that didn't necessarily translate into titles that were actually good. I've played a few other Star Wars games in the past, and while the SNES platformers were pretty good, this one is even better. Knights of the Old Republic may just be the best game in the franchise, and succeeds at being a top-tier RPG even if one has no interest in Star Wars. BioWare did the license proud.

Mar 31, 2012I wound up bailing out on Star Wars: The Old Republic well before hitting the level cap, but not before digging into it more so than any other MMO I've played. Even if it is an unhappy marriage between two wildly different game types, the fact that it kept me hooked for so long at least counts for something.

Mar 5, 2012A good game. It pays excellent homage to the film series (even though it's set before the movies), and is a really solid MMO.
