Star Wars Outlaws is a great game that allows everyone to explore a part of this universe they couldn't see before – exciting criminal plots and grand adventures not based on the all-powerful Force and flashy lightsaber duels.

Without a doubt, Star Wars Outlaws is one of the best games of the year and also consider it one of the best Star Wars games released so far, as it delivered an experience that exceeded my expectations.

A Star Wars fan will find many beautiful details in Outlaws that appeal to them. In particular, the crime gap between the 5th and 6th film is perfectly reflected in the gameplay. Those who like the classic Ubisoft formula will also be very pleased with the abundance of planets and atmosphere changes.

Star Wars Outlaws is an excellent Star Wars game. A good adventure, with a good story and good characters, all perfectly placed within a framework that is absolutely faithful and respectful of this intellectual property. It clearly does not have the depth of a Fallen Order in terms of combat nor the facets of the best RPGs set in this fictional universe, but when it comes to gameplay and contents it is certainly rich and interesting, very solid though far from original.

Star Wars Outlaws might have a gameplay that is occasionally rough and five dozens of different upgrade materials, but it makes up for any flaw with its excellent characters, a main story that always pushes you to look for the next chapter, and an unabashed love for the setting.

Star Wars Outlaws doesn't stand out in any particular area, but it's still an unforgettable open-world story.

Star Wars Outlaws is another Star Wars story, a different story that delves into the darkest part of the galaxy and more than fulfills its role in entertaining and telling a story. If you are a fan of the saga, you are in luck because you are going to find the most immersive title of the franchise in every sense.

Outlaws encapsulates Star Wars as a whole at the moment, trying to be something for everybody but at times missing it's mark. I honestly want to see Ubisoft take another crack at the galaxy far far away, because with a more refined scope this can easily be the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune to it's better sequel. Or, to put it in Ubisoft terms, it's Assassins Creed to Assassins Creed II. There's so much potential here, it'd be a real shame for this to be Kay Vess's last hurrah.

Racing through magnificent landscapes, strolling through the narrow streets of this worn-out world and experiencing frenetic action in space... this is a dream come true that no previous game in this far-off galaxy has been able to fulfill, especially in a unified package like this.

Exploring the galaxy in Star Wars: Outlaws is a blast, and the open-world gameplay perfectly fits the franchise. Kay might not be the most exciting protagonist ever, and the main story suffers as a result. However, the environments are well-crafted, and the gameplay is entertaining enough to compensate for it. Massive managed to avoid many issues that Ubisoft titles are often criticized for, and Outlaws is a must-play for any Star Wars fan.

A beautiful but uneven Star Wars game, with inspired moments but also with shortcomings and design flaws that break the immersion and prevent it from truly making a mark as one of the most memorable open-world games out there.

With an oversaturated market for open-world games, Star Wars Outlaws keeps things varied, fast-paced, and constantly rewarding. Developers at Massive Entertainment focused on variety and quality over quantity, and didn’t skimp on visual spectacle. There is always something for Kay Vess and her Trailblazer crew to do, whether it be treasure to find, some gang territory to sneak into and rob, an Imperial space base to assault, or even some card games to play. For a true space scoundrel there is no limit in the galaxy.

Star Wars Outlaws is a delightful adventure with a charismatic new hero. The stealth gameplay is fun, but the missions do get repetitive after a while. Thankfully the game is a looker, with some beautiful planets to explore as a side-adventure.

There aren't many surprises in this Star Wars title, but the immersion is total, with a story that's mastered in both the open world and the linear mode. It's safe to say that it's the massive entertainment hit this summer.

Star Wars Outlaws is a fun single-player open-world RPG that allows players to take part in the criminal underworld. Being able to decide which syndicates to work for and who to betray during each quest adds a level of strategy hereto unseen in previous Star Wars games. Infiltrating restricted areas, exploring familiar locales, stealthily taking down enemies, and hacking into terminals adds to the scoundrel experience. The unique Abilities skill tree also makes character progression feel far more natural than many other games. That said, the story isn't the strongest and there are a few bugs that need to be worked out. Otherwise, this is a fun game for any Star Wars fan.

Outlaws is at its best when it’s telling you a story. I was immediately invested in Kay and Nix and loved going on this journey with them. I didn’t skip a single cinematic or hurry through dialogue and, as a casual Star Wars fan, I would say that’s a big win for the folks at Massive Entertainment. There were certainly some places where the gameplay felt repetitive, but climbing, grappling, and taking out my foes in chaotic battles with my Blaster always felt satisfying. Working with Nix to solve puzzles or stealth through areas was a treat. Now that I’ve beaten the story, I’m not sure I’ll spend much time in the open world, but Outlaws did such a good job that I’m thinking of digging into some of the movies and television shows I’ve been passing on. That’s about as big a compliment as I can give the story.

If we had to sum up Star Wars Outlaws, it would be in two words: immersion and classic. It's simple, we are facing the most immersive Star Wars video game we have ever seen, with a living and credible universe that perfectly recalls the atmosphere of the original trilogy through a multitude of details. On the other hand, its classic but effective gameplay and open world compensate for their lack of originality with varied game sequences and the density of the activities offered. The result is an experience that looks like a good student, which favors substance over form by showing that it perfectly masters its subject through a structure that does not innovate. One thing is certain, is that Star Wars fans will enjoy this adventure made by fans for fans.

For its first shot in the beloved galaxy far, far away, Ubisoft Massive makes a convincing show of Force, in an open world formula relatively well adapted. At its best, Star Wars Outlaws is a very good blend between action-adventure and stealth games, especially thanks to the adorable addition of Nix. It's also one of the most beautiful and immersive Star Wars games to date, that pays a lovely tribute to this monument of the pop-culture. The whole experience is although marred by a conventional story, with rather cliché characters, some frustrating bug mostly rare bugs, and the terrible AI that has plagued Ubisoft games for years. Nevertheless, this is definitely a good Star Wars Games, which could spark a new hope for the return of Ubisoft at its peak.

Star Wars Outlaws definitely doesn't reinvent the wheel of open-world games, but it does break new ground for titles from Ubisoft. Although we have now played through the game in around 45 hours, it feels like we haven't seen everything. There is an astonishing amount of content and details in the game that you can spend a lot of time with, even away from the everyday life of a scoundrel. Have we already mentioned the arcade machines or the many Sabacc tables? And even the search for Star Wars allusions, mainly on Tatooine, is a pure joy. We can get over the minor quirks in some of the design decisions and the fact that the technology is not quite up to date. The main thing for us is that we were thoroughly entertained by Kay Vess and Nix on their adventure and we are excited to see what challenges await the young outlaw in the future.

Though I have criticisms about the game’s writing and mechanics, Star Wars Outlaws does an incredible job of immersing you in the Star Wars universe and will keep you at least somewhat invested in its storytelling. If you’re a fan of the Star Wars formula and want an open-world game set in the Outer Rim, Star Wars Outlaws is the game for you.

Star Wars Outlaws fully commits to realizing the open-world scoundrel experience many fans had been dreaming of and walks away unscathed, which is no small feat and reinforces the idea that Massive Entertainment is one of Ubisoft’s best studios at the moment. However, it needed an extra push and bolder swings to leave a big mark on the genre.

Star Wars: Outlaws is an action adventure that captivates with its story and an open world to freely conquer and explore. It exudes Star Wars atmosphere from every pore and shows us new, surprising aspects of the galaxy. Even though the mix of fighting, stealth and exploration is quite fun in itself from a gameplay perspective, Outlaws tends to stumble over its own ambitions and clunky controls there.

The criminal undercurrent in Star Wars Outlaws creates an enjoyable and unpredictable story, and the competent stealth, gunplay, and space dogfights ensure that fans of the original trilogy will enjoy the stunning views while earning a reputation.

My expectations were high: An open world in the well known Galaxy far, far away, in which I could immerse myself in and where exciting stories are hidden around every corner. Star Wars Outlaws is simply not that. Still, what is left is a fairly good game featuring a dense atmosphere, authentic characters and fun gameplay.

From the space action adventure you expect chemistry between characters, interesting plot, spectacular shootouts and cool fights. But it's as if Ubisoft didn't realize that and didn't want to spend money on the most important things. That's why Star Wars Outlaws turned out to be a good, but rather passable game that looks bad in the scenes where it should shine. However, it's not a complete failure as many predicted - fans of Star Wars and space adventures still have something to do here. And if you ask me if I'd recommend this game, I'd say yes, but it's worth waiting for the bug to be fixed or for the community to finish the game itself.

Star Wars Outlaws is a perfect example of a good game that could’ve been a great one if only its developers had played to its strengths. Hopefully we get an Outlaws II, because there are enough solid ideas here that you could strip out the annoying bits and wind up with a really incredible game.

Despite stumbling onto a few bug issues and a combat system that could’ve benefitted from a few improvements, Star Wars Outlaws allows players to completely immerse themselves and become a rogue Scoundrel-for-hire. Being the first truly open-world Star Wars game, Massive has done an incredible job of creating impressive environments and a compelling narrative, making being a Scoundrel both fun and intriguing.

Star Wars Outlaws is Ubisoft's most ambitious game in years, but it plays the basics way too safe.

Star Wars Outlaws does a lot of things right and a lot of things wrong, resulting in a gorgeously realized galaxy that feels simultaneously dated and innovative.

Star Wars: Outlaws is so monotonous that it fails to leave any lasting impression. In 2024, a merely mediocre game is unlikely to satisfy players, especially one with as many flaws as this. Despite focusing on stealth gameplay, the issues with the levels, combat, and mechanics make it hard to truly enjoy the experience. Ironically, the only saving grace is the strong and well-established Star Wars setting, which serves as the game's last shred of dignity.

Star Wars Outlaws is a smuggler with flaws that are easy to turn a blind eye to and be charmed by despite them. The cinematic story told keeps you intrigued until the end, the worlds are pleasing to the eye, and the gameplay offers a variety of attractions. Yes, there are problems, but they are not very painful, you can get used to them, sometimes you just need to grit your teeth and curse at the screen. The Force in this game turned out to be stronger than I assumed.

The universe that Star Wars Outlaws presents you with is really optimal enjoyment and the addition of syndicates does the gameplay justice. The audio is fantastic and the story and characters are very interesting. But where the game performs really well in those areas, it is mostly more of the same. There are many opportunities for original and unique gameplay possibilities, but instead the game plays very much on safe. Also, interaction with Nix is very limited, and on top of that, the whole upgrade system feels rather uninspiring and even somewhat limiting.

Sneaking, shooting, smuggling: Star Wars Outlaws delivers a good and compact open world adventure, but without ever wanting to deliver more. Protagonist Kay, on the other hand, is a real asset to the franchise, while minor bugs and AI weaknesses slow down the otherwise good game flow.

Outlaws’ exploration so often leads to wonder and joy, but it's contrasted by other elements that fall flat — rote and generic quest design, frustrating stealth, and an underbaked crime syndicate system. This is a game that wants you to constantly feel immersed and soak up every second in the Star Wars universe, but it too often breaks that immersion with its own problems. Despite those complaints, Outlaws is one of the most stunning representations of Star Wars we’ve ever seen, at least visually, and a game that I learned to love, warts and all.

There’s an awful lot of content and mechanical ambition in Outlaws with its reputation system, and it’s fun enough to experience most of it, but it still isn’t able to prevent things from blending together once you’ve spent an extended amount of time with Kay and her crew.

Star Wars: Outlaws captures the visual feel of the source material but misses the mark with nearly everything else. An uninteresting open world and tedious stealth sections bog down what could have been the start of something special.
