Aug 24, 2023Very good cRPG, with a solid history and well written characters... As good as KOTOR but with little improvements, it depends completely on a mod to unlock all content... (Without mod not more than 7/10)

Jun 14, 2022Love this game. A great sequel to one of my favourite games, didn’t disappoint!
-
Jun 12, 2022Very nice follow-up to its prequel with a tad less interesting story. Highlight of the game are the characters Kreia and Darth Nihilus.

Nov 23, 2021Nice RPG with a again a great story in an immersive world. Very similar to its predecessor: outdated gameplay elements, but still holds up today.

May 2, 2021I can`t say this one was realised as well as the first one, but still: the characters are enjoyable and also the Star Wars Lore is great.
-
Mar 22, 2021This game would have been top quality if it wasn't rushed because the story is just fantastic. The bugs are seriously annoying and persistent, even in the modded version of the game. The combat unfortunately didn't improve much upon KOTOR 1 either.
-
Mar 11, 2021The very interesting story is even a bit overloaded. In the end, it feels like it's too long.
-
Feb 21, 2021Absolutely brilliant writing, world-building, and lore ruined by the incredible amount of cut content and rushed corners.
LucasArts gutted a masterpiece by rushing this game out, as evident in the difference between playing this game without the cut content mod and with the cut content mod. -
Feb 4, 2021Easily the best deconstruction on the Star Wars setting. An engaging tale that will make you question your preconceptions about the force and Star Wars as a hole. Some of the best written companions to ever grace an rpg, as expected from Obsidian's golden days. If you like rpgs, Star Wars or both then you owe it to yourself to check KOTOR 2.

May 15, 2020While the first one may be better known, especially for it's twist, this is the superior game for me and the best star wars game. It felt like it added something to the universe by fleshing out the dark side, it's got great characters, a good story and a combat system that for it's time was probably the best compromise.

Feb 26, 2020I love this game because it showed that star wars and RPGs can be more than just the simple bad guy good guy story. I hate the game for the rushed ending that left me unsatisfied.

Jan 29, 2020Despite the fact that most of the content was cut from final version of game. SW: KotOR II remains one of my favorite RPG, even then, in 2005, I passed three times, not less. 10/10

As good as the storyline and basic gameplay are, there are more than a few issues that keep this game from reaching the bar set by the first KotOR. The first: bugs. There a lot of them; most are just annoying, but a few are deadly.
-
It's remarkable that the game's quest is every bit as big and complex as the original's. On the other hand, some unsightly technical issues and a general feeling of déjà vu will probably prevent you from feeling as strongly about The Sith Lords as you did or still do about the first game.
-
More importantly, all these mechanics -- the moral slider, the influence system, combat, etc. -- are surrounded by a first rate story that's almost as mythic and fantastic as the films themselves.
