    Everything That Made the Battlefield series a hit, but in the star wars universe! How Cool is that? Awesome game and lots of action duplicating every battle in Star wars. If there is any negative it would be that this game's gameplay is exactly like BF1942 and Vietnam... But if it aint Broke...

    Really good shooter, improved upon by the next game: Battlefront 2 and then some EA dickhead shat all over the name. Free Radical should have been allowed to finish their game instead.

    This is the first game in star wars that you can play the best battles you normally play games that are about a jedi and its invincible in this one you really probe your self fighting one army againts another.

    SW Battlefront is more of the same that Battlefield 1942 and BF Vietnam already have given us. Would be better with a lower price tag, but at $60 or so, it's just not worth it. I went through the single player campaign in about an hour and a half. While it does have a lot of new elements, like good vehicles and jet pack units, it's just another baby step forward in this genre.

    Terrible connection issues. Disgustingly animated characters. Laggy gameplay. Its like a 'my first FPS' Pretty graphics is the only positive comment I am able to make. Someone should lose their job over this one, but I fear the cash-cow will continue to be milked.

    So the single player isn't groundbreaking...big whoop. If you want a fantastic multiplayer experience and are bored with Battlefield, then go for this. The difficulty no way poses any serious challenge but the patches available now rectify it. If you are a Star Wars fan and love Battlefield,this is THE game to get!

    Very refreshing shooter and if you dig star wars like I do, you'll not regret spending your hard-earned money on this game! A lot of ppl say its feels a bit like the battlefield games, I never played any of those though i'm a great fan of UT2004.

    Excellent game but a limited life span, control configuration can be a nightmare - did there really need to be soooo many controls??? surley Left, Right, Forward, Back and FIRE would have been sufficent?. However alll in all one of the best shoot em up's ive played.

    It's a great game for star wars fabs or not good game play but bad single player, but why would you want to play alone in a game called battlefront anyway.

    A really great introduction to the world of Star Wars, and despite not being as sophisticated as other current Star Wars games, it was certainly exciting and fun to play.
    The only let-down for me was the lack of 2-player multiplayer.

    mixed ideal of maps, and a boring sp part, but a good co-op to it, creativity was taken a bit further, but due to a seemingly low bugget unlike most fps games, it did way better... it wasnt jam packed it gave us everything we needed to actually play... fun-10, gameplay-8, upgradability-10, story-- really no story to it, lasting gameplay- 9....

    As should be obvious, this is a Battlefield clone in a Star Wars package. If you like the gameplay mechanics of the Battlefield series, you'll probably also like this, and if you're a big Star Wars fan like me, you'll like it even more. Definitely not very creative, but still manages to be pretty fun.

    Star Wars Battlefront is an enjoyable shooter set in the Star Wars Universe. The shooting element is so much fun and driving the speeder bikes is just too darn fun, especially at the Dune Sea. It is a pretty fun game that I recommend checking out.

The maps are sprawling and capture the look and feel of the Star Wars universe extremely well. The units are varied and overall reasonably balanced (although I would recommend playing as the Empire and the Clones rather than the Rebels or Separatists). The flying mechanic is weak and the lack of playable hero characters may annoy some players but the sequel proved that concentrating on the non Force power wielding characters may have been a good move after all. Incidentally, the two best maps, Bespin and Hoth, are from the best Star Wars movie, Empire Strikes Back. Online multiplayer is another highlight of this great game and the split-screen multiplayer on the console ports is also a load of fun.     Решил поиграть в неё спустя много лет. Ностальгический экстаз прошёл быстро и я увидел проблемы этой игры: тупейший ИИ, однообразие заданий, невозможность поиграть за особых героев (джедаи и прочие существа), нарастающая по мере прохождения скука. Да, антураж    Игра устарела.

    Сетевая же игра умерла вместе с gamespy и чтобы в неё зайти, нужно заморочиться, что неохота совершенно.

    Весело было побегать в своё время, даже просто с ботами. Была такая невинная забава. Со второй частью было также. Никто ведь не знал, что третью часть будут ждать так сильно.

    Great game and a instant classic! Only if develpoers could take notes and make games like this again. Unlike the absolute trash the new SW Battlefront games today with the star cards, loot boxes, and other garbage they have thrown into the new games.

    The game is now much right and really fun (2019) it would be as it is now, had been from the beginning, it would have given significantly less negative votes. EA can only be despised for his game-destroying politics. if there are still more people to buy and play, the servers are full again and I still have fun.

    Star Wars: Battlefront. Attack! Excellent space shooter in 2004 in the world of Star Wars. The variety of units, vehicles, and environments on each battlefield allows you to use different strategies to win. But there is something in this game such that it still gets boring very quickly and after 3-4 games you want to press Exit.

    Had tons of hours of fun with this when I was a kid. It has more features than the modern reboots so that's saying something. What is it saying? Not sure, either that modern game developers are hacks or that this game was just too good for its time. Maybe both.

    Star-wars battlefront is a fantasy come true for a lot of people. but to me star wars battlefront was actually my introduction to star wars along with the first lego star wars game. and i do have fond memories of playing this game with my neighbor back when you could Rent games at block buster or in my case Rogers video.

    story: this is a hard one to review because the story is not good.     story: this is a hard one to review because the story is not good. as a nameless soldier you fight for 1 of the 4 main factions over 2 eras and the main story takes you through most if not all the maps in under 4 hours. so this game is short . and the plot iit self is a much less personal look at the movies (at this point revenge of the sith hadn't been released yet ) so it covers 5 movies in under 4 hours witch really is not that much time at all. this story runs on pure concept alone and i think the game is lucky it had a good one

    World building: the maps are so well designed and thought out and have a lot of little details it really feels like they are locals in the star wars universe and we get free range to explore the map (within the match ) the tattooine map with the tuskin raiders being a highlight putting a third wild card faction on the map. its the little details of this game that got me into the star wars universe THAT and how cool clone troopers look and using all those iconic laser blasters.
    World building 8/10

    Graphics: for 2004 these graphics are pretty impressive. playing this on the pc was a smooth experience. textures were good and character models and animations are good for the time ( a little stiff and awkward now but still good) my one complaint is the draw distance , i get its an older game but it really takes away from the grand scale of the game

    Gameplay: battlefront plays a lot like a battle field game and with that simple fact its no surprise dice took over the battlefront mantle later on, but being set in the star wars universe makes it so much more fun and who knew going on a rampage killing droids as a clone trooper would be so much fun.

    Sound design:its star wars , star wars already has great music no need to change it we know its great but there isnt a whole lot of it in the game. voice acting was enthusiastic to say the least not as good as it would have been today but for its time good. but the sound effects is where it shines every gun every character ever vehicle has great sound effects and really helps bring the world to life.
    sound design: 7.5/10

    As far as multiplayer player games it is just amazing. The strategy that goes into every single battle is actually incredibly thoughtful. As far as third person shooters go it is one of the best games ever.

    Годиться только старикам поностальгировать, к сожалению это не та игра в которой и через 30 лет можно получать удовольствие. В нынешних реалиях, ей не выжить.

    I liked it, sure the details aren't that good because it was made in 2004, But still it's fun to play if you need to pass the time and you're in the mood to play an old retro style game.     The interface is wonderful. You have so much information immediately available to you. Google Maps always has a minimap in the lower left corner, which gives you a good overview of the area. Getting information about people gives you a clear, clear window. Hacking offers a menu with easily recognizable icons, so you always know what your button presses will do.

    This game always seems to lurk in the shadow of its successor, but this is still a good game. While the AI definitely shows its age, I still enjoy picking up this game from time to time. The concept itself is brilliant - who wouldn't want to take part in their favorite Star Wars battles? Again, the execution isn't all there, but the idea keeps bringing me back.

    But once you take it online and play team versus team the fun factor really kicks in. AT-ATs shaking the ground, Ties and X-Wings battling it out in the air and the sounds of explosions and blaster fire all around you, any real Star Wars fans doesn't stand a chance at putting this game down.

    This game is good but not great. The game needed about another 3 to 6 months of development time to get some of the bugs worked out (specifically the AI and the weapons loadouts), but I have a feeling the pressure was on since they timed the game's release with the release of the original trilogy's DVD iteration.
