For anyone with a Nintendo Switch or PC who only knows Spyro from Skylanders, this remastered trilogy is the perfect time to experience three of the best 3D platforming games that ever graced the PS1.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a joy to play through. There are a few issues with the port, but it's a beautiful game that's a joy to get lost in.

Were Spyro games actually good 20 years ago ? That’s what we wondered when we first launched Spyro Reignited Trilogy until we gladly discover that yes, they were. And still are, despite an outdated first episode.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is the best way to experience the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy, two decades after the first entry was released. The games on offer were never major classics, of course, and their heavy collect-athon nature won't appeal to everyone. The new, upgraded version is simply beautiful, making the originals look even older than they truly are, so Spyro fans will simply love this… as long as they have the patience to endure 30-second-long loading times (or more).

A wonderful remastered version of the original Spyro games that keeps true to the original gameplay. The graphics are amazing, and despite some loading glitches, it provides many hours of fun.

I did not grew up with Spyro on the Playstation 1 but I did have the Gameboy Advanced game ''Spyro season of ice''. It's not very exciting. II did not grew up with Spyro on the Playstation 1 but I did have the Gameboy Advanced game ''Spyro season of ice''. It's not very exciting. I did, however get the original PS1 version of ''Spyro the dragon'' and it does not control good at all in my opinion even before I played the Reignited Trilogy it felt slow and awkward.

This remaster or whatever It's called is brilliant, the most lacking aspect of the game have improved 100% and that is the control I mean sure the buttons are pretty much the same but now you can control the camera with the right analog stick and Spyro turns a lot faster. I know there are people complaining over the redesign of some of the character models but I say the exact opposite they are so much more cuter in the reignited trilogy.

There are some new features that makes the game more accessible for people to play. For example you can move to every level you have already visited directly in the menus and Spark can show you where you have missed treasure.

    Thanks for reading.

But, in theI only bought this game because my wife wanted to have some nostalgia for the old game, which she never ended in her childhood. But, in the end, I played it, and she looked and helped if I missed something. So, we played this new game together.
Colorful and beautiful graphics, with bright and clear colors. Very good optimization, with the exception of one place where you need to lower the fps from 60 to 30 in order to get through the gate (They didn't fix this bug so far that made me very angry at that moment, by the way). And got stuck in a texture once, which forced me to a level reboot, but otherwise there were no problems.
Very simple plot and humor, but just very cool for children. We ourselves, sometimes, laughed at some simple jokes, although we were not fans of such humor. In general, from all three parts, we enjoyed a lot. I went through all the levels to the maximum percentage, with secrets and achievements, and I highly recommend it for purchase. Even with a full price.
Now, I want to write what I didn’t like about the game and what influenced on my Metacritic rating:
    1) Gamepad. Perhaps due to the fact that I'm a keyboard & mouse player, and I take a gamepad when I play platformers, still I terribly did not like its control in this game. Camera circling - sucks. Racing flight inversion - a horror. Keyboard & mouse are much more convenient and pleasant.
    2) Skill points for opening pictures. I think it's stupid to do 1:1, that only all the points on the page open 1 gallery, and not, for example, a certain number of completed challenges. Because of this, you complete 8 of 10 things, and the 2 remaining - to make a difficult race, without a single mistake, in order to meet an almost unrealistic time for children. And you can forget all completed tests and the gallery, because of these two points. Much better solution was written above.
    3) The inability to skip the final credits in the first game. I see no reason to write why I did not like it.
    4) If only it were possible to write obscenities here. Oh, if only. The camera. THE CAMERA! Which in the 3rd part on bosses is fixed on the boss itself, and you don’t see anything what’s happening in the arena, when and where something falls, until this item is between you and the boss. And on the first boss that needs to be pushed, you must first defeat the twitching camera, and only then push the boss. I really hate the person who came up with the idea that on bosses it would be fun to fix the camera on the boss (It's too stupid even for the realities of the game-pad in the version that came out in the game). I hated bosses in the 3rd game, but I loved the whole games themselves.

The art style and voice acting was spot-on, as the NPCs and main characters breathe new life in this trilogy. That's about as much as I can say for the net positives though, since you simply cannot fix the terrible level design choices or unfair challenges some levels face. There's a lot of performance issues and annoying clipping that would otherwise be unseen in the original games for the PS1 as well. If you're looking to play the original trilogy and don't own a PS1, this would be a suitable alternative for new fans; For those who do own the originals, it's best to dust off those old discs and play those instead.
