An interesting "reverse tower defense", with an original and humorous setting. Too bad for the oppressive grinding.

The voice acting is hit or miss, though. Mainly miss. [Oct 2014, p.81]

An interesting tower defense in space, but also a one-trick pony. [Sept 2014, p.67]

Space Run is a solid entry in a genre that is full of unimaginative titles, and from the get go Space Run supplies an easy to understand, but challenging to beat campaign that will keep people’s minds and fingers active from beginning to end.

Space Run is a confident and well executed first outing from France’s Passtech Games, offering a quality experience occasionally comparable with the best in the genre.

Space Run is an original Tower Defense game, with simple but interesting gameplay mechanics.

Space Run is a fairly fun twist on tower defense, but it lacks much of the genre’s interesting experimentation.

A pleasant mix of an action and tower defense game that sadly runs out of its charm sooner than one would hope for. [Issue#245]

By paying such homage to the 80s classics which inspired it - even in an age where ‘retro’ interpretations are ala mode - Space Run feels a bit dated.

First off, there is a fair amount of micro-managing your defense, which is great and fun, IF I have the opportunity to pause the game, decide what needs to be done, fiddle with the clumsy controls and then un-pause and watch my tactical cleverness win the day. Instead I expected to micro manage the direction my guns are facing, on the fly, to fend off attacks that come from all directions. Even more annoying is the fact that most guns can only shoot one direction and their field of fire is very limited making it nearly impossible to defend all situations that come at you. I love tower defense and I love strategy and this game gets close to pulling it off, but after a few hours of restarting in frustration because my guns just barely could not hit the baddie, I called it quits. I wish steam had a satisfaction guarantee the way origin did, because I would like to return this game. Full Review »

This is a good mix of tower defense, RTS and space ship management. Surprisingly, the voice acting and art design are great as well.

The idea of cargo delivery in space is really a fresh idea, never think of a game can be executed in such manner with such extent of tactics and micro-management.

Good. Tight visuals. Good sound. Nice level design. Variety of turrets and upgrades. Multiple viable strategies. Interesting NPCs. GenuinelyGood. Tight visuals. Good sound. Nice level design. Variety of turrets and upgrades. Multiple viable strategies. Interesting NPCs. Genuinely difficult in places. Not the longest game (probably doable in 6 hours if you're good), but fun throughout. I only wish there was more of it. I would suggest this to anyone interested in starship piloting. Full Review »
