May 15, 2012It's certainly an improvement over the atrocious Episode 1, that's for sure. It's actually playable. But besides the jump physics and uncurling, as well as new graphics and a pretty cool tails coop gimmick, nothing has changed. Music still sucks, the level design is average, and overall it's just an average platformer. That's not to say I didn't have fun, though.

Aug 23, 2015Quite dull and boring despite the nice graphics and good multiplayer. Unfortunately sonic isn't fast enough and fails to be like the classics. It's mainly quite boring due to the fact you have to use Tails too much in this game basically making the speed lack in this game.

Dec 9, 2015This is a nice game.Great level design,good music,great boss battles,not lagging,nice special stages.This is a great game,to bad sonic the hedgehog 4 episode 3 got canceled
-
May 3, 2021This game sucks...
It's not as bad as Episode 1 but close enough... The graphics improved just a tiny bit, the bonus stage is a copy of the bonus stage in Sonic 2 which is great, but other than that... nothing else.
Sonic and enemies are HUGE and you can see little ahead of you, gameplay is stopped often for a special move with tails.
Does not feel like a sonic game at all.. -
Oct 6, 2018Free-flow level design mixed with great music and nice visuals come together to create a comfortable experience that surpasses the original games. However the game is a bit too easy to say it is awesome.

Mar 27, 2019Excelente jogo, o gráfico ficou mto bonito e a jogabilidade segue a mesma da época do Mega Drive

Jan 15, 2021Although not yet a top game like the others, it literally improves everything the first episode did, better graphics, soundtrack, gameplay, mechanics with Tails, fair difficulty, but not that difficult, Metal Sonic playable in the levels from episode 1, much better levels and much more creative bosses.
Unlike Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1, I recommend this one, however, get it on a promotion. -
Sep 18, 2020Em comparação ao EP 1, esse jogo é uma obra prima, mas o jogo em si, não é tão interessante, controles melhoram, gráficos, e a música melhorou só um pouco.
É... legalzinho -

-

Oct 11, 2022Worse than the flawed and disappointing episode one due to the fact the story remains unresolved and discontinued. Not worth playing.
-
Jun 18, 2013It’s going to need to become more than a sum of its parts if it wants to compete in this modern gaming era though.
-
Jul 28, 2012"Just another Sonic game" is the best description of Episode 2. A colorful, but flavorless platformer.

PC GamerJul 12, 2012Play never feels fluid, a problem compounded by the horrible, poorly ported PC controls. [Sept 2012, p.61]
