    Sonic 3D Blast is possibly the worst Sonic game to be ever made. It plays nothing like the other Sonic games and was too early for its time to be pushed into the 3D Realm. The poor controls and views of the game will make you want to quit at any time and the fact that the game is a slower pace may be a turn off for those who enjoyed the usual Sonic games. Beware when playing this gameSonic 3D Blast is possibly the worst Sonic game to be ever made.     This is my review for the PC version, but the MegaDrive one is almost identical to it, so I've just copied and pasted and edited it a little.

    I just really find this a not really good game. Not on the lines of Sonic 06, but it's level design is so lacking.     I just really find this a not really good game. Not on the lines of Sonic 06, but it's level design is so lacking. Due to the limitations of the Sega MegaDrive/Genesis restricting the features of Sonic 3D Blast to a barren pseudo 3D Iso platformer. It does have very enjoyable music, I'll give it that, but getting past the despicable 3D controls consisting of a D-Pad (I don't think any level design was built in mind with it), and three buttons.

    Now talking about the level design will have you know that Sonic couldn't even go fast so basically the "Sonic" title is only pertaining to the character and not the gameplay.
    There are instead puzzle gimmicks that just do not mix well with the isometric view.

    This was a huge mistake by Sega. If Sega aimed to put this game on the Saturn and I don't mean just slightly updating the visuals and changing the music, I mean literally using the Saturn's superior power to the MegaDrive to render fully 3D models, construct good level design, then this game could've hit the marks (IMO I'm not really criticising here).    … Expand

    Probably the only Genesis Sonic which I don't call satisfying, as it tried to do something so ahead of its time, it missed the mark of being a fun game to play. Might still be worth it on its occasional sale for $1 though.

    Sonic's first 3D adventure wasn't quite the success story of Mario 64, but it's still a fun ride no matter the controls or gimmick. Give this game a shot, maybe you'll like it.

    Lo jugué por la mega collection de ps2. Entretiene un puñado de minutos pero no destaca en nada. Diseño y perspectiva muy quedados en el tiempo, justificable por el primitivo 3D.

    O jogo é bom,tem uma ÓTIMA trilha sonora,a inovação é ótima,tem chefes criativos,vale a pena jogar.
