Jan 4, 2021Snowrunner is what happens when an immovable object meets an irresistible force. As long as the irresistible force has a winch, the immovable object will lose.

May 5, 2020While playing, I am reminded of the feelings I got from Minecraft, Euro Truck Simulator, Portal, and SimCity 2000. Simultaneously relaxing, infuriating, perplexing, and rewarding, SnowRunner is on my shortlist for game of the year. If I could show this to my six-year-old self, he would give birth to a litter of puppies on the spot due to sheer excitement. If you need a path cleared, a load hauled, or a vehicle rescued, I am the man you call. 9/10 38-inch Super Swamper TSLs

Apr 27, 2020A beautiful-looking simulation with very specific appeal that will likely turn off as many people as it interests. If you’re in the latter group, however, this is an indispensable physics toybox.
-
Jul 24, 2024It’s therapeutic, it’s deep, it’s engaging, and it’s indisputably unique. Everyone should try it.
-
Apr 27, 2020This deep off-road sim delights in giving you a hard time, but every victory is all the sweeter for it.

Sep 14, 2020SnowRunner is an exemplary sequel in which the variety of content has increased several times compared to the previous game. There are a lot of new features, and the scale, content and number of maps have increased significantly. But most importantly, the gameplay has become more interesting. Setting up infrastructure in atmospheric locations is more exciting than just hauling logs. At the same time, the deep physical model is still as detailed as before, which will please hardcore fans of the genre. So if you are one of them, then it is definitely worth playing.

Jun 11, 2020SnowRunner is certainly not for everyone. Its slow pace, punishing resets and the ask of an methodical approach from the player is one that will not fit everyone’s personality, and the cooperative element is missing some key communication features. But, if you are one of those people that gets turned on by dirty mud deformation and enjoys an element of puzzle solving to their driving, then SnowRunner offers some impressive physics and environmental challenges to overcome, which makes for a thoroughly stimulating and rewarding drive.
-
Jun 1, 2020SnowRunner is a beautiful - and oftentimes frustrating - experience, but it’s that journey you undertake, one that you carve out yourself, that makes all the trials and tribulations worth it. The struggles you face will become obstacles to conquer, with each route forming a sort of puzzle to solve. It may take a while to get into, and if you’re having trouble at the start then stick through it, as the long haul is well worth it.

May 11, 2020Snowrunner is really one of the most suprising games I’ve played in a long time. It offers a unique atmosphere, a great world to explore and a very satisfying gameplay loop. What you need to be able to enjoy it is patience, though, for it is a slow endeavour and sometimes tough as nails.
-
May 9, 2020SnowRunner is the stay-inside game we need right now. Slow, rewarding, and providing just enough resistance to keep the player sharp, it's a singularly zen experience that's made for a particular kind of person -- even those who avoid more genre-standard titles.
-
Apr 30, 2020The start of Snowrunner is demanding, and can put off the mere curious. However, for the more adventurous and regulars, this new installment of the Spintires series is a success.
-
Apr 29, 2020SnowRunner’s peculiar brand of off-road ordeals is addictive, deep, and rewarding when played in the right spirit.
-
Apr 27, 2020SnowRunner is an excellent game with wonderful visuals and great controls. It also has a massive amount of content for players to sink their teeth into. The game is slow and can be frustrating, but it's very much worth getting down and dirty with this one.

Game World Navigator MagazineJun 30, 2020Before, you used to drive a heavy-duty rig through all kinds of difficult terrain basically for the sake of it. Now you complete contracts and earn money to get a better rig. You can also impact the world by building bridges and removing debris, which makes the entire process much more involved. [Issue#246, p.42]

May 8, 2020This very unique Offroad-Simulation draws its fascination from the beautifully designed, but lifeless world and its outstanding physics simulation. Patience is a must-have, though.

Apr 27, 2020SnowRunner is an amazing sandbox full of engaging toys, and is still an amazingly good low-paced, low-stress way to destroy an afternoon. [Roadshow]
-
Apr 27, 2020Particularly nifty is the ability to port your trucks back and forth between maps. If you lose one in a snow drift and can’t yet afford a bigger vehicle to dredge it out, it’s feasible to head back to Michigan and raise the funds in safer environs. That’s the other children’s story SnowRunner resembles: The Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly. No matter the size of your stuck truck, you can nearly always send in something heavier. It’s the simplicity of principles like these that makes the ‘Runner games remarkably accessible, even as they grow in complexity and ambition.

Apr 28, 2020No support for wheels, no support for force feedback. It's really bad as for 2020 game.
