    This would have been a good game... 10-15 years ago. Not in 2019.
    It lacks some basic quality of life features, like being able to skip time if you have to meet someone at a specific time of the day.

    Absolutely beautiful sequel to Shenmue 2. Look and feel is 100% true to original game, runs smooth as silk on my Radeon 7 3700x PC. A Masterpiece that deserves another sequel cannot recommend enough especially to Shenmue fans

    Game lives up to all the E3 hype and I can see why fans were going mad over this, not many games like this out there, outstanding game well deserving high score considering this game was crowd funded, a must buy for martial arts fans

    This game is trash, i can't believe what this game was made by Japan developer, old graphics, no interactivity, gameplay very boring, very slow, every step animation. Better to play in Yakuza or other similar games. They forbid to write review after release and finally it's epic store. This is totally trash

    A 2003 game released 1 month before 2020. Shenmue is a poorly made video game with a lot of negative reputation behind its back

    There's a reason SEGA let this series die in favor of Yakuza. The creator is a hack and this is another game with a huge budget that manages to feel low budget and dated at release. Avoid it like the plague.

    Also way to lie to the diehard fans who kick-started your project.

    Obra maestra del genio Yu Suzuki. Es increíble todo lo que han conseguido con tan poco presupuesto. El juego que llevaba soñando 18 años por fin ha llegado.

    The game is great. The gameplay is a huge improvement from past shenmue games. The story is really good. A true shenmue games for newcomers and old school fans.

    I think this is a very well-made part of the series. Characters, music, history, all at a very high level.
    The graphics are impressive and the immersion into the environment and people is so Shenmue like.

    I hadn't played a Shenmue game until this year, but Shenmue III has consolidated my newfound appreciation for Yu Suzuki's classic series. Faithful to the originals with just the right amount of modern polish, I am so glad to have discovered the franchise in time for this gem. Thoroughly recommended if you want something different to the barren, identikit open world games that failed toI hadn't played a Shenmue game until this year, but Shenmue III has consolidated my newfound appreciation for Yu Suzuki's classic series. Faithful to the originals with just the right amount of modern polish, I am so glad to have discovered the franchise in time for this gem.     This game is for fans only. If you havnt play the other games and your not playig because of nostalogia dont even bother this title. This game looks like mobile version of yakuza.

    Finally! The Story continues! And we got a PC-Release! Okay, i'm in the beginning of the game and i play veeeeery slooooooowly. But i enjoy every second with Mini-games.

    Magic in all aspects, this qualification is personal, I find myself living those wonderful moments that 18 years ago shenmue gave us to many, it is a cult, relaxing and beautiful game that I would love that everyone enjoys.

    When people said it was the same feeling as playing the first ones, I couldn't believe it was going to be so Shenmue.

    I have spent the coupons on toy capsules, I have been bothered by children and I have spent all night opening drawers. It's all I could wish for and more, I had good expectations, but not so good, after so much time ...     What a brilliant and well made this game this is. Especially when you consider the budget this game was built on. Absolutely stunning. Feel massively lucky to be able to continue with Ryo on this amazing adventure.

    The continuation of a great game. This game is not for everyone, if you like slow pace game within amazing story. Buy it... otherwise. ... keep playing the brainless CoD

    It was worth the wait! After 18 years we finally have a game that is completely different from everything we have in the industry. Shenmue 3 does not have the best graphics, however the game has the soul from the golden era, where games had a message to pass.

    Well people are loving this game but i don't see it. The voice acting and the dialogue is one of the worst i have ever seen. The animations are from 2005. I know it is a third game in a series from way back when because i played those game. I was just hoping they had moved out of 1998 and joined us here in 2019.
    It IS pretty though :D

    I am so impressed by this game. It is truly a masterpiece especially since it came out of a Kickstarter. Can you believe the continuity between a game from 18 years ago. The graphics are impressive and the immersion into the environment and people is so Shenmue like. The story is great but won’t spoil anything.

    Good few hours in and I absolutely love it. It captures everything that made the first 2 games so amazing and draws you into all the little details of the world.

    Any Shenmue fan will be in love with this game

    So far it has been amazing. The game launched early for me and the performance has been amazing. Been testing it on a RTX 2060 Super running at max settings at 1440p with no issues. Also you don't need a new driver to play the game which is nice for a change.

    A sequel that is truely worth the name. It turned out way better than i expected. it is made with so much love and passion, you can feel it. People who never played 1&2 maybe get confused at the beginning (the recap video that comes with 3 is too short and lacks of information, you better watch on youtube for better recap videos). Fighting feels different, but when you get used to it, it feels challenging.
    There is no way a fan of this series will be disappointed. This game has a soul!

    A perfect continuation to a series left dormant for close to two decades. Yu Suzuki has managed to recapture the spirit of Shenmue from the games from back in the early 0’s whilst managing to include many quality of life changes, making the gameplay experience far more enjoyable. The voice acting and audio direction is far superior to previous entries, the controls have been greatly improved and the use of the unreal engine has bought the games visuals up to the current generation. This is a faithful continuation of the series which I think anyone even with the slightest interest in role playing/action adventure games based in the East in the 1980’s should definitely consider playing. … Expand

    Runs really well at max settings on my GTX 1080 (and ok on my based PS4 too) Environments look amazing and detailed and oh so cozy., NPC visuals are mostly hit, with a few misses dotted here and there with some unimportant NPCs. Considering there are over 400+ unique NPCs the overall quality is impressive considering the budget; it really feels like a natural continuation from the previousRuns really well at max settings on my GTX 1080 (and ok on my based PS4 too) Environments look amazing and detailed and oh so cozy., NPC visuals are mostly hit, with a few misses dotted here and there with some unimportant NPCs. Combat feels good and I don't miss the throw moves as much as I thought I would. Music is as atmospheric as ever with some new standout tracks (although they also re-use some previous tracks which is a shame..). All said and done they really came through for Kick starter backers and they should be well happy! The whole package is well beyond what they promised. Highly Recommended.… Expand

    A worthy continuation of the Saga, which we loved so much.

    If you want to see the continuation of the story of Ryo Hazuki and play Shenmue 4, please support the game and buy a licensed copy in the Ps Store, or Epic Games Store.

    Fantastic game, picks where the sequel left off, plays just like the classics and that's just perfect. It's everything you wanted from a Shenmue III all them years ago and more.

    Everything I could've asked for. Yu Suzuki and his team dared to achieve the impossible, and they absolutely nailed it. This is a time of great celebration for all fans, and I couldn't be happier to be part of it!

    Stays true to the originals and doesn't try to be something it isn't.

    It's exactly what I was hoping for and I Thank everybody in the community that never gave up on Shenmue.

    Horribly optimized for PC. Running this at 1080p on a RTX 2080ti and i'm always gettting an unstable frame rate.

    Even connoisseurs of the first two parts will be a bit sober after taking off their pink glasses. The story is by far not as good as it seemed back then and the gameplay is completely outdated. The fact that Shenmue 3 doesn't come to a conclusion is unforgivable after the long waiting time and the (financial) support of the fans. Players who approach the title without a nostalgia bonus will be annoyed anyway. The grind is pretty hard, the wandering around and the bad dialogues are even harder, but the fact that the game keeps stopping you on purpose is just incredibly frustrating. Hardcore fans can add something to the rating, everyone else can even pull something off.
