    She Sees Red is a highly atmospheric, well-acted (but poorly dubbed) interactive movie that will keep you engaged for about the same length as a film before faltering a bit under its limited choice format.

    Well-acted and with an intriguing story, She Sees Red is a short FMV game that fans of the genre are sure to enjoy. But do yourself a favour and play it in a few sittings, because without a way to skip past scenes, it can be a pretty painful slog to see the game’s four endings.

    An FMV interactive thriller that’s rather light on the “interactive” element. Choices are sparse and do little to promote player agency but some solid production and a stylish, campy aesthetic save the experience.

    I am thoroughly disappointed with She Sees Red. It’s an irrelevant, irritating adventure that is unlikely to please even serious fans of the FMV genre.

    This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. She sees red is intriguing 30 minute movie, or is it rather misguiding its audience with 9 decisions about the revenge, which you will unravel as you replay, but do not make sense if you do not pay attention to details.

    There are three prominent characters in the story, the killer, the owner of a club and the inspector. After just first walkthrough I was quite empty handed, I did not know what the motivation of our killer is. I recommend to play it twice and choose the opposite choices to uncover some mysteries. 1. Be merciful and 2. kill everyone.

    By the second time I understood the motivations. I decided otherwise for the killer and that showed some funny kills even different ending which opened up another questions.
    When I finally replayed for the third time, it ended up absolutely terrible. I noticed the outro music is always different.

    I was questioning how come the inspector knows exactly how the killer thinks and where to follow his trails. I found out later as I paid attention to details more.
    I replayed four times but did not really do absolutely different changes at last, so ended up almost same. There are total 4 endings.

    What story?
    Great 5/5 ☑ It is like watching mysterious detective movie.

    Game play?
    Not really. 1/5 ☑ 9 decisions and 30 minutes game time.

    Re playability?
    4/5 ☑ 4 endings that are significantly different to each other.

    I had mixed feelings after first 30 minutes. My choices did not seem definite and the ways were happening uncontrollably . There are only few characters, and killing them off is the main feature in here. I can safely rate it 6, some scenes made me smile, one ending was rather weird and I like the action in here though it is very sparse. The acting is on point.
    I will jump into the spoilers area now. If you think about replaying, go on. These are few notes about decisions in game but not the answers to the story yet.

    1. You start off with question Start? Choose yes if you want smooth start, or no for quick ending. Every different outcome and ending will give you additional Steam achievement.
    2 and 3. The killer will appear in a club killing the first victim, then will decide to escape the storehouse. It does not really matter which you choose for now.
    4. You are cornered. Be creative, it does not really matter, both are good.
    5. Crossroads. This shows absolutely different scenes, one is much more action than the other, and will also give you answers to the story, so better go around.
    6.1 You complicated your path so choose one choice, one is more funny than another, but the part of scene will give you clue about the picture of the killer if you are cautious.
    6.2 The killer is in another place altogether torturing some guy. I advice you to spare their life, otherwise you will be empty handed like me for the first time.
    7.1 Look at the club owner s personal stuff, choose whichever you like more. Not much affected for me.
    7.2 Killer found the hidden cocaine, it is your call, this will slightly affect your ending.
    8.1 You do not know what is the plan of the killer, because you don't hear the words or thoughts, but if you choose one over another, it will lead you to absolutely different endings.
    8.2 The wall or the desk. Your call.
    9.1 Take your chances, you will see different ending.
    9.2 Plan or improvise. This affects the ending.

    Major spoilers to the story and summarizing. For those who still have no clue after replaying the movie.

    Owner of the club ordered a boy to carry some drugs into Thailand, owner s daughter was involved into his business too. The inspector coming to the club is the boy s sister. The boy died by suicide. He made a lot of money that was treasured in the club safe. The inspector is the boy in disguise (her brother is dead before She sees red even started), she was all time silent. Her brother is really shown in two scenes as retrospective, bathing and in car. The whole story with the retrospective really takes less than an hour. She kills some people and walks in as an inspector.

    One outcome will lead to death of club owner s daughter that was tied to the chair, but the security camera showed the room with the killer instead, so the owner will kill his own daughter in thinking he is shooting the guy behind the door. Good ending but not many questions answered.

    Another part is when you decide to attack, all will die, you will get a lot of answers for the motivations and pretty much best bitter sweet ending.

    However, you may choose to be passive, the inspector and her accomplice will both be murdered and the evil wins.

    I have seen forth outcome on YouTube, the owner and his bodyguards will be tricked and murdered, the daughter will survive.    … Full Review »

Зрелищная картинка, динамика на протяжении всего хронометража и даже наличие достойных экшен-сцен. Но самый сок, пожалуй, в атмосфере и вытекающем из него напряжении. Благодаря параллельному повествованию герой и игрок оказываются словно меж двух огней. Впереди их ждет неизвестность еще не раскрывшегося сюжета, а также непрогнозируемые последствия принимаемых решений. Но они обязаны туда спешить на свой страх и риск, поскольку в настоящем их вот-вот нагонит шанс быть пойманным.

    Однако ветвистостью своих выборов игра похвалиться не может, из-за чего быстро проходится и теряет в реиграбельности. После двух получасовых заходов некогда завораживающее приключение становится рутинным «Что, если?», где игроку только и остается что разыскивать оставшиеся сцены. Отличий в них минимум, а сюжетный вес идентичен оригиналу, из-за чего о новой концовке можно и не грезить.

    И тут уже не «Она сердится», а сам зритель, ведь удовольствие было чересчур скоротечным. Первые эмоции не вернуть, Типси Типу в касте больше не удивиться, красотой здешних актрис вновь не заглядеться, а голосом Татьяны Шитовой уж не заслушаться. Вот и остается напоследок лишь согревающее чувство радости за своих, собравших такую классную, но все же эфемерную игру.    … Full Review »
