Oct 29, 2025Sure, it can get rather hectic at times, but that’s the nature of the beast, after all. Yes, it can take a bit to learn all of its elements and figure out how to create an excellent build. But once you do, you’ll become unstoppable, as you rush through enemies. Shape of Dreams feels very satisfying to play, there’s never a dull moment, and you’ll always feel the itch for one more run.

Sep 11, 2025Shape of Dreams is a sensational Roguelike with a ridiculous amount of depth, and whether you play it alone or with the squad you'll have a blast.

Sep 10, 2025I’m certain that Shape of Dreams will find its fans and treat them right, because roguelite debuts are rarely as content-rich, mechanically deep, or stable as this one; there’s even drop-in/drop-out co-op, a remarkably rare multiplayer boon. And if, for some reason, there are no new spells or gems or heroes to come, I’d call this day-one collection more than enough to melt through dozens of hours merrily. Buildcrafters and co-op teams rejoice! You’ve just found one of the year's best roguelites.

Feb 4, 2026If I were to look at any single aspect in isolation, Shape of Dreams isn’t the best roguelite I played in 2025, but it shines by delivering an enjoyable experience with plentiful meta progression that encourages diverse builds and character mastery. These qualitites keep me coming back to grind for more unlocks and the options and modifiers give ample choice to tailor the experience to my taste. For players who are interested in trying this style of combat, or for those who just want to just hop in for a chaotic dungeon run with friends, I fully recommend Shape of Dreams.

Sep 16, 2025Shape of Dreams is a well-crafted roguelite that brings something new to the genre, blending together familiar elements of MOBA and ARPG games and turning it into a fast-paced, engaging game with fluid controls, exciting combat, and a rewarding progression system. While it may not have the best storyline and has its visual weaknesses, this roguelite is definitely one that fans of the genre shouldn’t miss.

Sep 10, 2025Shape of Dreams combines familiar fun with a pursuit of fresh enjoyment. Drawing clear inspiration from Risk of Rain, FTL, and Heroes of the Storm, it delivers the satisfaction of growing characters and crafting powerful builds.

Sep 22, 2025Shape of Dreams does many things very well. It counters the roguelike problem of early game frustration by giving players lots of powerful and impressive tools right from the start. The flow of combat and the variety of builds have a lot of depth. The bite-sized battles are perfectly paced, though probably more satisfying for a group than a solo player. Shape of Dreams definitely has that compulsive, “just one more run” element at its core, and it’s a great scaffold for more content down the line.

Sep 10, 2025Shape of Dreams eases the repetitiveness of roguelites through varied systems, keeping monotony at bay. With beautiful visuals, distinctive characters, and excellent clarity, it stands as a well-crafted hack-and-slash experience.
