    Game was fun for a few missions but becomes repetitive real fast , storyline and characters lore is really lacking and not engaging , also as you progress you start replaying all the first maps and this becomes very boring.

    Got bored after the 5 missions , Desperados series was much better.

    It’s an extremely charming and fun game, perhaps even more so than the previous Mimimi games, and I loved “Desperados 3” & “Shadow Tactics”.

    This is essentially those games but with a pirate theme, a more diverse cast of characters, and a wonderful focus in experimentation; the gameplay is highly exploitative but it’s deliberately so, it’s like that because it’s trying to get you to use    It’s an extremely charming and fun game, perhaps even more so than the previous Mimimi games, and I loved “Desperados 3” & “Shadow Tactics”.

    This is essentially those games but with a pirate theme, a more diverse cast of characters, and a wonderful focus in experimentation; the gameplay is highly exploitative but it’s deliberately so, it’s like that because it’s trying to get you to use multiple characters and use all of their abilities creatively. Much of the game is in getting these characters by reviving your crew, you do this by obtaining items that you can get by completing missions; it’s a cycling system, so the mechanics of the game complement one another, it’s beautiful game design.

    Then there’s the story; I think the characters of this game are fantastic, but frankly, the premise isn’t that great, it’s your usual, there’s a powerful foe, you’re a group of outcasts of some kind, go overtake the throne, you get the gist. I love the characters but not their motivations, I wish the main story would equate to their quality, because their characterization and motivations is unique, charming, and made with love and care. Having said that, it’s also not like the story is terrible, it’s a bit cliché, but it does its job, is just nothing special; plus, there are some side stories that you can get by interacting with items and crew members within the hub area of the game, your ship that you gain access to in-between missions; it’s pretty cool.

    I frankly thing, because of the focus in fun and experimentation, as well as in improving their game design by taking risks, Mimimi studios has essentially created their best game to date; a sandbox playground that follows a charming crew of outcasts in an average quest, but with a wonderful, wonderful gameplay and character personalities to follow.     Another great game in the genre by mimimi. A lot of diversity between characters with each their own unique skills and colourful personalities. A must buy for fans of the genre and a good entry point for newcomers with customisable difficulty settings.

    Pretty much a downgrade of Desperados 3, with some really overpowered abilities. For me where it suffers the most is the story/characters, because the writing in general just leaves much to be desired. Also the level design requires you to play the same map multiple times to progress the story. This becomes tedious real fast, since all maps (islands) look really similar.

    This game is so great. It reminds me the happy time when I played Commandos in my first pc. Graphics, characters, strategic, all beyond my imagination.

    There aren't much games from this genre but they are generally very good games even though all of the games of this genre are incredibly similar, not much improvement over the years game mechanics-wise. This game follows the same pattern, however, the presentation is really good. Music, atmosphere, voice acting etc elevates this game from 7 to 9 in my opinion.     This is the second game that i play that create by MIMIMI Game , the Desparados 3 series is the game that introduce me the RTT type game , and i fall in love with this type of game for the first time , so i decide to play the next game that created by this beloved studio , Shadow Gambit : the Curserd Crew , the game system is super awsome and i don't want to spoil too many story and how toThis is the second game that i play that create by MIMIMI Game , the Desparados 3 series is the game that introduce me the RTT type game , and i fall in love with this type of game for the first time , so i decide to play the next game that created by this beloved studio , Shadow Gambit : the Curserd Crew , the game system is super awsome and i don't want to spoil too many story and how to play , but sadly i notice the studio has been shutdown due to the rising costs of development and not enough revenue being generated , i have notting to do but just buy the full set of the game for my last support for the team , hope you guys comeback .… Expand

    The game uses all the building blocks really well, plus it adds extra ingredients to the mix. On top of that, it adds a polished diamond of gameplay, the whole work embellished with refined audiovisuals. [Issue#330]

    Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is a complex and very open game that will mainly appeal to players who loved Mimimi’s previous entries in the stealth action genre. All the mechanics are refined, and character choices open up a ton of options for each mission. Success requires patience and good planning, but improvisation often creates more memorable moments. The title tries hard to be accessible to newcomers, offering bespoke introductions for each character and solid tutorial missions. But success and progress require careful thinking, good planning, and cautious executions. It takes time and patience to master Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew and the game offers impressive set-pieces and a great sense of accomplishment in return.
