    Great engine looking for a game. It's a beautiful thing alright - horizons stretching for lightyears around, and streams of enemies turning from dots on the horizon to huge screaming beasties, and lens flare and everything - but it's very very shallow. It's not that amazing how cheap it is. There's a week of gameplay here, tops, for the season FPSer. Not to say it Great engine looking for a game. It's not that amazing how cheap it is. There's a week of gameplay here, tops, for the season FPSer.     I played Serious Sam 2 and finished on hard solo.
    Liked the game with it's wackiness.
    This game however, I just can't bare one moment of it. The very first levels are literally made just to: 1.Prank you 2.Fool you 3.Put you in annoying situations that without the quick save feature are impossible to beat (I played on hard TBH, but normal is probably the same). It's tight corner    I played Serious Sam 2 and finished on hard solo.

    It's tight corner bullsh*t arenas where I have to put on the 3rd person view to spot where the god damn suicide bombers are coming from, and let me tell you, YOU-WILL-GET-SURPRISED-BY-THEM.

    The game is sorta repetitive and frustrating to play, I really don't think it stands up to 2020 standards, no reason to purchase it or play it outside of nostalgia nowadays.

    I started this game just after playing BFE and I liked it very much even if BFE is way superior (better enemies, better graphics, better cut-scenes, better maps). But TFE is still a very good game both in single player mode and in co-op.

    Хороший мясной шутан. Можно считать это ремейком всего того, что выходило в 90х годах в этом жанре, только с более адекватным и щадящим левел-дизайном, когда не надо искать выход с уровня по 2 часа, потому что карточка для открытия двери спрятана в секретке или сливается с текстурами окружающей среды. Так что за то, что это действительно мясной шутан, а не симулятор поиска карточек вХороший мясной шутан. Можно считать это ремейком всего того, что выходило в 90х годах в этом жанре, только с более адекватным и щадящим левел-дизайном, когда не надо искать выход с уровня по 2 часа, потому что карточка для открытия двери спрятана в секретке или сливается с текстурами окружающей среды. Так что за то, что это действительно мясной шутан, а не симулятор поиска карточек в лабиринте, рождённым больным созданием сумасшедшего левел-дизайнера, уже можно ставить 10 из 10 в своей нише.

    Из особенностей: огромные размеры арен, и большое количество врагов. Сделаны они шикарно. Жаль только таких секций не так много как бы хотелось, и чаще всего приходится ходить по коридорам каких-нибудь храмов да скучно постреливать постоянно спавнящуюся мелочь при подборе очередных патронов или аптек.

    Итог - 7.5 из 10. Как мясной шутер отличная игра, но много провисающих моментов, вызывающих скуку.    … Expand

    Unlike many games back then, this game takes the cake with great graphics (for 2001 standards), wonderful soundtrack, and the great big worlds you explore as you shoot your way thru the multiple Kamikazes, Kleers and Beheaded Rocketmans. The game has a weird plot, as the entire story is cut into two. The game is way better on the Xbox port.
