Ok, this is complicated but I'll do my best:

The early versions of this thing were, well, weird, you can still use the old emulator (well, it is still here as an option in the Steam launcher after I updated it), but this one seems refined enough to my nerdy taste.

It looks a bit complicated to find stuff inside the virtual room at first but, after you get used to it you'll be enjoying the selection of titles available and, if you're old enough, feel the warmness of the old times gaming. The screen settings are many and the scan-line version, the best one, has no option to add brightness so I had to do it in the monitor, but I survived it.

It is hard to tell about all games because I play only my favorites, ToeJam, Sonic, Shinobi and a few others, but man, they run so nicely. I have an issue with the audio emulator, sometimes it makes stuff sounds weird, but that's just with me who knows the original sound.

Otherwise, this is a must have to collectors and a very nice collections of games from the best era of gaming, in my opinion. the 16 bit era.

Sega Mega Drive Classics creates a great hub world for its players. The Steam community are constantly creating new content to support it, so far extending the life of the collection more than Sega intended to but that’s ultimately the problem. It shouldn’t be the fans who have to make this worthy of buying. It all feels a little lazy and lacking. It shouldn’t be the fans who have to make this worthy of buying. It all feels a little lazy and lacking. Putting aside the fact you can’t get all games for a reasonable price in one place like the physical Gold Edition of Classics Collection for so much history Sega has offered the bare minimum. Where’s the game artwork, design documents or retrospective documentaries on these classic games? For all its faults even the Sega Mega Drive Collection (2006) and Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (2009) managed that. Once again this is a case of the goodwill of Sega fans being exploited (not the last time either) when they just want something comprehensive that treats the company’s legacy with respect. Expand

Great collection, combining great games from the mega drive, there could be more, but that's fine.
Another good point is that it is not necessary to buy the entire collection, if you want you can take only a few games or even one. A nice detail is how we play, in the game, you are in a 90s style room, with several details and a shelf where the games you bought are, similar to real life,

I highly recommend it and if you want to catch just a few games (as was my case, I only took Sonic games, but in the future I intend to take more like Golden Axe and others), just choose and have fun.

I was impressed by the game selection, presentation, and special features such as video filters and save states. So, if you are nostalgic about old SEGA games, I reckon this package will be quite satisfactory. Furthermore, you can expand your SEGA gaming experience with game mods available in the Steam Workshop.

It's hard to play this when you know there were sequels with better graphics and moreover with very poor offered content ...

With more than 50 games and a ton of options to customize your experience, SEGA Mega Drive Classics is just pure fun and nostalgia. Too bad some iconic games missed the cut.
