    With more than 50 games and a ton of options to customize your experience, SEGA Mega Drive Classics is just pure fun and nostalgia. Too bad some iconic games missed the cut.

    Sega Mega Drive Classics creates a great hub world for its players. The Steam community are constantly creating new content to support it, so far extending the life of the collection more than Sega intended to but that’s ultimately the problem. It shouldn’t be the fans who have to make this worthy of buying. It all feels a little lazy and lacking. Putting aside the fact you can’t get all games for a reasonable price in one place like the physical Gold Edition of Classics Collection for so much history Sega has offered the bare minimum. Where’s the game artwork, design documents or retrospective documentaries on these classic games? For all its faults even the Sega Mega Drive Collection (2006) and Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (2009) managed that. Once again this is a case of the goodwill of Sega fans being exploited (not the last time either) when they just want something comprehensive that treats the company’s legacy with respect.… Full Review »
