This beautiful puzzle-platformer is filled with attention to detail, and with its tight controls and clever puzzles I couldn’t recommend playing this enough.

If you, like me, occasionally need a rest from fast-paced, action-first gaming, I truly cannot recommend Seasons after Fall enough. The art alone is sufficient to offer a unique and worthwhile experience, and the light yet engaging gameplay offers a wonderful way to experience it.

Breathtakingly beautiful and quite easy puzzle adventure without violence, fights or player deaths.

What it misses on content it gets on the gameplay. Great platformer for those who enjoy being absorbed by fairy-tale world. [Issue#267]

In the end, Seasons After Fall is another great platformer that places value in puzzles and dexterity over combat

Seasons After Fall is a great platformer. By focusing on story and movement instead of violence, it creates a universe where you never think of how to beat the next enemy, but rather what it all actually means. Set to a great soundtrack and driven by charming voice acting, it is a game that makes you want to go forward - even when you have to revisit places you've been to oh so many times before.

Seasons after Fall is beautiful game that exists to dazzle you with handcrafted imperfect art and animation. This is an experience that isn’t for everyone, as some gamers feel their time is better spent in a more perfect art like Child of Light or Abzû. However, for those that fall in love with imperfection, this game is the perfect addition to your library.

Seasons after Fall is a very good game that holds many qualities, and only the moderately successful level design will leave us a bitter taste. Definitely recommended.

Seasons after Fall is an excellent small adventure, with a lot of talent and love put into it. Some parts could’ve been more intuitive or less repetitive, but those are small issues for a very enjoyable experience.

Sometimes, Seasons After Fall is a pleasant, engaging and delicate experience, with some nice and well crafted design ideas. Sometimes it's flat and boring, with a chaotic exploration and basic puzzles. It could be worthy of your time if you like the wonderful art direction and you're not looking for a challenging experience.

Season After Fall is more convincing for its beautiful aesthetics than for its gameplay, but this discrepancy does not make it a title to be underestimated.

Seasons After Fall is a soft and tender tale, filled with poetic inspiration. The cell shading offers amazing views, sublimated by a perfect use of colors and contrasts. In terms of gameplay, unfortunately, the game fails in maintaining the same quality.

Seasons after Fall is a visually stunning video game, able to surprise and enchant thanks to a hand-drawn 2D graphics. On the other hand it may be too simple, due to generally little complex platforming sections and puzzles, devoid of a real challenge rate.

Seasons After Falls tries so very hard but falls short of being truly excellent. The repetitive puzzles hinder things enough that, if you're like me, you'll end up playing in small doses.

Apart from wonderful visuals Seasons After Fall has little to offer – it’s just another indie platformer built around one idea (a good one, at least). [12/2016, p.58]

Seasons After Fall is a beautiful adventure, a bit lacking in the playful side. The art design is great, the soundtrack amazing and delicate. The puzzles are too simple and the level design is not surprising. A game that is nice to see, a little less to play.

It bears repeating just how beautiful Seasons After Fall is both visually and musically. When paired with the interesting season manipulation mechanic, the result is a highly enjoyable puzzle-platformer that actually requires both physical and mental dexterity to complete. It is not flawless, but the occasional niggles are outweighed by the gorgeous aesthetics and the moments of puzzle solving satisfaction.

Seasons After Fall gets top marks for its pretty painted canvas visuals that are, sadly, the main attraction of the game. It’s a dazzling world that sparkles with beauty, but that isn’t enough to cover its bothersome issues. Seasons After Fall’s simplistic and easy-to-solve puzzle design mixed with the lack of impending doom offers an experience that is relaxing, an almost perfect fit with the visuals, but pacing issues, overuse of backtracking and obtuse directions turn a beautiful game a little sour, spoiling what could have been a brilliant experience from beginning to end.

Seasons After Fall is a nice fairytale game from the forest, which responds to the season changes. All this is complemented by a catchy soundtrack. Neither puzzles nor gameplay offer a serious challenge, but the game works miraculously even without them.

Overall the game offers something unique and worthwhile despite having its downfalls. The seasons mechanic works well but the puzzles feel mundane and uninspired at times.

Seasons After Fall is unique in that its beautiful artistic style almost makes you forget about the lackluster gameplay. While it’s far from perfect, it still manages to be an enjoyable experience, especially for those who treat games as an experience rather than a task to be completed.

The art design is noteworthy and the options to change nature are interesting, but the story remains boring from beginning to end.

As I ran around this forest performing repetitive fetch quests for much longer than I wanted to, I felt an awful lot like the fox I was possessing – a tool in a conflict I have no stake in, when all I wanted to do was look at the pretty scenery.

Visually the game is looking beautiful, soundtrack is very nice, voice acting is good, the concept of changing seasons to change environment works very well, puzzles are okay, but the game is lacking in some aspects. A bit lackluster story and lack of any dangers, the worst that can happen to you is getting stuck with puzzles, this is the only challenge in game. I can understand for example lack of combat, it wouldn't fit to this game, but complete lack of difficulty doesn't have positive affect on the game, it is just not engaging this way, especially when story is also not something that could sink you into the game. I think you could say that Seasons After Fall is half of the game. Good and pretty half but overall certainly not a level of top of the line titles of this genre, like Ori and The Blind Forest. Seasons After Fall,
The visual aspect of the game is awe inspiring and the music is breathtaking. I enjoy the music with great alacrity, so I have started working on a guitar cover for one of the songs. Throughout the game, you feel captured in a world of fantasy and beauty. I feel the need to just take a moment to look around and see everything and take it in. And the fact that they made the game available in many different languages makes a difference. The soundtrack for the game is now even available on 2 vinyl records. I would thoroughly enjoy another installment of Seasons After Fall, but the lack of advertisement has brought the game down since its release. The story of the game is easy to follow and the game lets you roam around and explore the world and its beautiful aesthetics. In conclusion, it is a work of art, and the time it took to make was truly worth the awe-inspiring moments I experienced.
