    I lost patience with Scars Above. The story is nice and intriguing. Some basic mechanics works. But the fighting. I lost patience with the fire gun, which require a charging time before firing. A real disadvantage very early in the game. Also the fact that the character is always slow to move in fights is frustrating. The sprint is just a gimmick to spend stamina and is useless in fights.I lost patience with Scars Above. The story is nice and intriguing. Some basic mechanics works. But the fighting. I lost patience with the fire gun, which require a charging time before firing. A real disadvantage very early in the game. Also the fact that the character is always slow to move in fights is frustrating. The sprint is just a gimmick to spend stamina and is useless in fights. Some happening in thigh spaces, so you are slow. Graphics seems ok and there is a certain production value. I give it 60% but I couldn't get passed the first 2 hours.… Expand

    I think the high scores are either Devs or someone hired by a publisher.
    The cheap motion and combat were just boring.
    There was no presence of team members and it was just empty.
    Don't think of this as a TPS, think of it as a puzzle game.
    This game is only worth $19 IMO.
    Even if you buy it on sale, you're just wasting your time and money.

    - 6.30 hour long.

    -very repetitive very linear 3rd person shooter, bad ai, bad hero hitbox, little enemies type and bad lip syncing.

    -devs love gorillas gorillas everywhere even final boss big gorilla (disappointment final boss).

    -some good main bosses, interesting sci fi story and some good upgrades.

    LGTB+RGB cheap soulless like game.
    Sometimes creepy af. And the most creepy thing there is a character's face animation. Dear lord this game not about humans it's about artifical creatures that pretending to be a humans.
    Shooting pepega. I shoot blue, i shoot red, i shoot ice. What a clowns. Devs put skips everywhere. 0 cutscenes we just dont move anywhere, we teleport to the place    LGTB+RGB cheap soulless like game.

    Ce jeu est très cool, très simple d'accé dans les menus, tout est très intuitif, il y a de super idées de gameplay en plus, les boss sont sympa et l'histoire est prenante, ça donne envie d'en apprendre plus, en attendant Wo long c'est parfait ^^

    I fear most of the people will review this game like it was AAA, done with 300 milion budget, when its not. Its a great AA game, ticks all the right boxes, has a bit of dark souls in space, but with actual story, and some great puzzles. Cant wait to see the developers next work, if they get some AAA stuff going on, sky is the limit! Good job!

    Absolutely amazing low budget game if you love dark, brooding, sci-fi puzzle shooters. Combat gets a bit repetitve by the end but the game doesn't overstay its welcome and the boss fights are AMAZING.

    Its not blockbuster with huge budget. It feels like indy game but also it feels like it's made with love from devs. Whats why - strongly recomended.

    This is a very boring 3 person game with souls barking elements like the game remnant from the ashes. Didn't find any bugs except one when I got stuck in textures and had to boot from a checkpoint. The story and gameplay is a maximum parody of Returnal only much worse. The storyline is as boring and uninteresting as possible compared to Returnal. With enemies and bosses no problems at all,This is a very boring 3 person game with souls barking elements like the game remnant from the ashes. Didn't find any bugs except one when I got stuck in textures and had to boot from a checkpoint. The story and gameplay is a maximum parody of Returnal only much worse. The storyline is as boring and uninteresting as possible compared to Returnal. With enemies and bosses no problems at all, the bosses are very easy except for 1-2 who can at the initial stages of making problems. The game was not memorable and wanted it to end quickly. More were unloading locations in the middle of the game that led to prolag on rtx 3060ti but in principle, it is not critical. In general, better to play Returnal than this.… Expand

    Mir hat das Spiel wirklich sehr viel Spaß gemacht.

    Man erkundet einen Planet auf dem man strandet, sucht seine Crew und findet heraus wo man ist und was hier vor sich geht. Man erhält ein paar Gadjets und Waffen, nicht zu viele, nicht zu wenige! Es gibt einen Skilltree, in der Welt sind kleine Würfel zu finden, die geben einem Wissen, welches bei 100% zu einem Skillpunkt wird. Man hat    Mir hat das Spiel wirklich sehr viel Spaß gemacht.

    Es gibt einen Skilltree, in der Welt sind kleine Würfel zu finden, die geben einem Wissen, welches bei 100% zu einem Skillpunkt wird. Man hat einen Scanner dafür und sie schweben einfach leicht über dem Boden.
    Ich habe wegen meines Entdeckerdrangs wieder jede Ecke erkundet und habe wahrscheinlich jeden Einzelnen gefunden. Damit hatte ich am Ende 12 Skillpunkte übrig, mit denen man nichts mehr anfangen kann. Man muss also nicht jeden finden, kann aber muss nicht ist immer gern gesehen!
    Generell gibt es keine Sammlerstücke die eingesammelt werden können, was auch super ist, würde nur nerven und aufhalten.

    Sehr kompakt und auf die Story und das Gameplay konzentriert, Welt, Kämpfe und Story sind wirklich sehr gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Rätsel sind alle zu schaffen, nicht ultra Babyleicht, aber auch nicht sonderlich schwer, auch das ist einfach sehr gut belanced, so dass man nicht den Spaß am Spiel verlieren kann.

    Ich spreche hier eine klare Empfehlung aus!    … Expand

    Scars Above tells an excellent story and provides several mechanics that fans of the genre will enjoy. The landscapes and monsters are designed beautifully, with audio that completes each setting. While character design could use some work, and customization would have been nice, the good heavily outweighs the bad with this one. The combat difficulty will provide plenty of frustration and enjoyment for days on end.

    Scars Above wants to do a lot of things at once and takes its inspiration from many successful gems of the past. But it executes all of it just a bit more awkwardly and its own ideas fall flat more often than not. The combat system is pretty solid and the story drags the game from the mire of averageness, but it could’ve been so much better.
