Sarawak is not perfect, but it is a great game to pass an hour or so, and it's ideal for those who don't have the time for an extensive read or playthrough. After all, not all great stories are back-breaking novels; sometimes, a short story says as much as a story that's 10 times longer.

I highly encourage anyone that’s a fan of mysteries and interactive novels to give it a try, and support this wonderful new indie studio.

Sarawak is a short game; its story isn’t quite as satisfying as I’d like it to be, but it kept a consistent smile on my face as it unfurled, the crumpled pieces of paper folding out into something really special, despite its creases. As a sign of what this team could achieve in the future, I’m very hopeful. As an experience itself, it’s lovely despite its flaws.

While certain areas of Sarawak are more developed than others, the end result is a well-crafted, beautiful mystery adventure with a uniquely literary feel that’s cleverly enhanced by an inspired interface.
