I waited few years before launching the sequel on purpose: to have a calm approach and possibly bug-free game.
Unfortunately the whole production is a mistake, simply as that. Instead of fixing shortcomings of the first Sacred game, the sequel actually increases all of them beyond any measure. Even in a character department it feels broken, since the only one having any kind of theme

Unfortunately the whole production is a mistake, simply as that. Instead of fixing shortcomings of the first Sacred game, the sequel actually increases all of them beyond any measure. Even in a character department it feels broken, since the only one having any kind of theme behind her is Seraphin, the rest being some random dudes without any real character progress depth (hack'n'slash wise). The story is non-existant despite dozens of quests and many dialogues, because the game has no real theme behind it. Even graphically is screams "i'm so mediocre and irritiating".
You can have 3D looking game with a fixed camera angle that shows you everything, really. You don't have to make a mess this game is control wise.

It could be entertaining if not the fundamental flaw that questions the very sense of existence of Sacred 2. Everything and everyone is level scaled precisely to our character.
That means you can run through everything not caring and finish the game with a finger up your... nose. You will make it, since everything will be scaled down do you. Why bother to grind, farm and collect equipment? It doesn't matter at all, since everything will be scaled down/up to you and you will keep the same buttons all the time with no real feeling of progress hack'n'slash games are all about.

This game freezes the majority of computers that play it, and there is no fix. Thank God I got it on humble bundle for 25 cents. I would not recommend this game unless you use Windows XP (and if you do, why do you?).
