Sep 7, 2015RymdResa is a special roguelike in which you are humanity's last hope. You might not like the repetitiveness of the game, but they can bring you in a melancholic trance in which poetry is the higher power. Its minimalism is elegant, the storytelling is interesting and the surreal space experience makes RymdResa a moving piece of art.

PC PowerPlayOct 1, 2015A strange, sad, introspective tone poem of a game. Totally engrossing if you have the patience. [Oct 2015, p.65]

Sep 14, 2015Original gameplay, difficulty level and the atmosphere of loneliness create interesting and engaging roguelike game, which unfortunately is a little too irritating in the last chapter.
-
Aug 20, 2015RymdResa eventually becomes a test of patience but its tone and the drama of Man’s desperate search for a new home is interesting and thought provoking.

Aug 28, 2015If you don’t bring a certain amount of serenity to the table, stay away from RymdResa. It will take you on a trip where the journey is the reward and patience is the key. Unfortunately story and gameplay mechanics stay superficial.

Aug 20, 2015RymdResa is a gorgeous roguelike that has a significant amount of untapped potential that could lead to a much better game to play. For now, you’ll have to make do with passively exploring space and not much else.

Oct 28, 2015It's a little project, but also an ambitious one, with RPG elements and slow paced exploration thrown in the mix. Unfortunately we weren't completely convinced by the game's pace and the design choices. If you like spaceships and are not scared of dead moments, you could find something to love in RymdResa.

Jul 14, 2016Despite its flaws, RymdResa offers a mostly relaxing experience and is something a little different from the norm.
-
Aug 20, 2015It’s pretty minimal in its design, difficult to get into, and a bit cumbersome to navigate. I’ll freely admit that, on my first few plays, I planned on giving it a pretty low score. As I played a bit more, though, it began to grow on me and the frustration faded as I learned pilot, manage resources, and make use of upgrades and consumables.

Aug 20, 2015If ambiguity and self-directed discovery are aspects of games you appreciate when they exist, and can handle one where you'll spend most of your time not doing anything, you're the audience RymdResa is looking for.

Sep 24, 2015RymdResa is mostly soothing space roguelike game, but it has relatively small variety of environments and flat gameplay. A poetic effort remains halfway - equivalent rhymes you can find even on improvised evening of slam poetry.
-
Sep 1, 2015RymdResa tries a lyrical approach of space exploration but unfortunately falls short of its endeavor due to its oversimplified gameplay and objectives as well as the almost total absence of the exploration sense.

Aug 21, 2015With time and patches, this could be a must play, but as it is I can only cautiously recommend RymdResa as a game with fascinating ideas and inconsistent execution.
