Jun 4, 2013Rush Bros. came out of nowhere, but is a very polished game worthy of any gamer’s time.
-
Games Master UKMar 24, 2013Mid-level brain-benders merely slow otherwise ultra-responsive and tight platforming to rival Super Meat Boy. [Apr 2013, p.86]
-
Jun 10, 2013Of course, with some better platforming and tighter controls, Rush Bros would be much more recommendable. But for what it is, a nine dollar indie game that provides some laughs, a few thrills, and some absolutely gorgeous art, it’s at least worth a look.
-
Jun 17, 2013Part racing game and part 2D platformer, Rush Bros. is full of high speed excitement. Unfortunately, there isn't much to do once you've completed the 40+ races. Even more disappointing are the balance issues found in the competitive online mode. Rush Bros. comes close, but can't quite make it over the finish line.
-
Jun 25, 2013The core game itself and the platforming is still respectable enough to warrant a check though.
-
Jun 7, 2013Rush Bros is a thoroughly mediocre platformer. The best reason to purchase it is, in fact, the soundtrack, which is probably worth the price of admission. If you buy it looking for an innovative platformer or exciting music game, you will be disappointed.
-
Jun 3, 2013Rush Bros runs fast, but its heart is not able to keep its pace: a rat race against the clock can be a fun experience, but the road to the glory is blocked by flaws. And there are a bunch of better choices in the platform genre, like Super Meat Boy and Dustforce.
-
May 30, 2013Custom soundtracks aren't enough to give Rush Bros. the longevity it needs.
-
Jul 30, 2013Rush Bros. is a game with many good ideas. If only they'd been executed properly.
-
Jul 2, 2013By and large, Rush Bros. stumbles across the finish.
-
Jun 20, 2013It does show a couple original ideas, but they’re never fully executed, and it’s full of small, annoying bugs that sour the experience.
-
Jul 6, 2013The idea of running and jumping on your own music library sounds exciting, it is to bad Rush Bros doesn't deliver what it's promising. The levels lack inspiration and the music you play seems to have little effect on Rush Bros. Also the controls are to stiff for a game like this.
-
Jul 24, 2013Rush Bros has some good ideas behind it, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired; for a game that claims to be a blend of two genres, there’s surprisingly little content from either.
-
Jun 7, 2013A music reactive platform that fails in all his objectives. The levels doesn’t really react to music, the controls are laggy and the visuals fail to impress. If you really want to try it, at least wait that the price goes down.
-
Jun 3, 2013Stretched out levels, punishing design, and imprecise controls make for an experience best avoided. It is a shame because there are some great ideas here, they just need a little more time and development to become consistently fun.
-
Jul 3, 2013Rush Bros. just isn't fun. The platforming is bland and uninspired, the multiplayer feels more like simultaneous single player, and the rhythm-based elements are almost an afterthought. Though the idea of a platformer that runs on custom soundtracks is a grand one, the execution here is extremely disappointing.
