    A Really enjoyable experience, great voice casting group, however I wish they had kept the same voice for the returning characters. Never the less, its worth a look and I highly recommend it to any fans of point and click adventures.

    A perfect ending to the Runaway series, the first Runaway game was released years back and it's hard for me to accept that the series has come to an end because I have gotten so attached. It's funny to see how the characters has developed through the games and how the story turned out and I absolutely love the visuals in this game.     Technically, it is an improvement over the previous versions: you can skip walking, there are hotspot highlight and the game now is able to run on any monitor resolution (not just 1024x768 which my monitor doesn't like). Despite I wanted to play it on my own, I got stuck 2-3 times for hours and had to lookup a walkthrough, but generally the puzzles are more logical than the previousTechnically, it is an improvement over the previous versions: you can skip walking, there are hotspot highlight and the game now is able to run on any monitor resolution (not just 1024x768 which my monitor doesn't like).     The first two runaway games were excellent, but this one fell a little flat for me. Only a handful of characters from the first two games returned, and it seemed to have a completely new voice cast, which kind of spoiled it for me. Nevertheless, it was a good game, with challenging puzzles, and a satisfying conclusion to the story.

    Definitely the best of the series, alas the last, and actually is an exemplary Adventure.
    My minor nitpick with this one (as well as with Runaway 2) is how quickly it departs from a Physics Nerd protagonist and represents him as a kind of a dumb ass bad boy. Basically, Brian - the protagonist - is like a different character in each implementation of the game.

    That is the first Runaway game that I play but I really enjoy. Its a nice and funny history with many puzzles to solve. The help system work pretty well and the gameplay is simple. Its not a game to break your brain in some crazy puzzles, its a game to have fun, give some laughs and enjoy a good soundtrack.

    A fun point and click adventure with a great score and beautiful drawn graphics. The voice acting is quite good too. The story keeps you interested enough, but in my opinion the game is far too short. I spent a few hours each day and finished it in a weekend. Didn't see that coming!

    In line with the previous episodes, Runaway: A Twist of Fate is however more enjoyable to play, thanks to a major quality of life improvement: the "show possible interactions" tab. Forget about hovering your mouse through all the screen in search of a tiny object you could have missed, this tab allows you to see directly what is available for interaction within the scene. This saves a lot of time and allow the player to focus on solving the puzzles.

    On to the scenario: without spoiling, there is a huge cut, both in the storyline but also in its style ( The Dream of the Turtle was turning to a weird science-fiction) with the previous episode, so much that in the first few hours, I started doubting that this was the sequel of The Dream of the Turtle , but it really is. If you remember how The Dream of the Turtle ends, you expect something extremely different from the story than what is proposed in the first few chapters. It takes time, both for the developpers, but also for the player, to put all the pieces together and to understand the whole story. At times it looks like the developpers just wanted to completely reject their old work.

    On the technical side: the resolution is capped to 720p. You can select higher resolutions but it just fills the border of your screen with black bands, which is a pity. But considering this game is very old, that is not so surprising. No crippling bug this time, unlike in The Dream of the Turtle .

    A clear recommendation from me, although the end is quite uninteresting.    … Expand

    Again, another game of runaway to match its predecessors. Crazy story with unique characters and a huge imagination when solving puzzles. Mandatory and recommended.

    Almost one decade after the first game the story is still interesting. But personally I liked the first game most.
