    I've been following the game since its first appearance at E3, and I have to say the game didn't change much, same game pretty much, more cosmetic options, a $ shop / pay pass, and what seem to be the same matchmaking issues and crashes...

    This game has been in development for ages. Instead of waiting so long to release it, they should probably have released it a year or so after the announcement at E3, like they originally planned. I remember the hype at that time, and I feel they missed the opportunity to limit development costs and start small, see what happens, and build a community and a better game for that crowd...

    The Free to Play market is full of options, and I have to say the offering is quite limited with Roller Champions. I had fun playing throughout the various betas, and the final release, but even if I considered myself a big fan of the game, I got bored very quickly, it's like playing the same thing over again.

    The launch has been a mess, and I think they lost a lot of potential players my delivering a subpar experience. It's expected to see F2P launches crash servers and whatnot, but this game ain't no WoW nor a highly anticipated game like Elden Ring... I watched big streamers like Sips cancelling their stream (probably sponsored by Ubisoft by the way) because they just got tired trying to navigate the connectivity issues and crashes...

    Conclusion: Game design perspective : this is to me a very nice idea that the design team failed to refine into something that meets its niche. Project management perspective : this looks like a failure to direct what looks like a talented team towards a clear goal, because the game it itself looks good, has a nice sound track, but shows a clear lack of direction. What you get when you play the release version of Roller Champions is not worth the 4+ years this game has been in development, and I don't expect it to be profitable anytime soon considering the amount of cash it must have costed, which is probably north of 25M USD in salaries alone, (quick back-of-the-envelop math...) that's gonna be a lot of Roller Passes and customization items...    … Expand

    When you want to play casuals game is ok (besides bugs, server errors, leaving/afk-ing teammates) but when you want to play ranked thisgame is unplayable. First the waiting time like you would wait in a dead game. Then we had afk in our team.     Honestly good luck trying to find a game if you're playing in the OCE regions, matchmaking can take up to 8+ mins to find games, no matter what your party size is. How has this game been launched with blaring issues and    I literally created an account to review this, that's how frustrated I am.

    I beg anyone who has the time to read this - DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON THIS. This is just another Ubisoft launch debacle. Yes it's free, yes it was fun playing the bots, but literally after that games were beyond laggy and felt like I was placed in games that are on the other side of the world. I was that clown that thought "oh yeah, new rocket league" let me tell you, I was very very wrong.. Boring gameplay with little to no skill needed, button spamming literally wins games.. Whoever play tested this in house must have been playing with the Monitor / TV off.

    Terrible frame drops, terrible character design and you have people already whaling the disgusting lackluster cosmetic items. And as typical Ubisoft , they don't know how to properly make any games, they are outdated. They can't make games other than    It's a Ubisoft game. don't play it.     At the core there is something interesting, that unfortunately lacks the skill progression of a Rocket League, but still is fun for a little while, particularly if you have a bunch of competitive friends to play against. Well, when you can actually play, of course, which was not the case for me during the first day, because of the matchmaking issues and game crashes.    I'm disappointed.

    Cosmetic options are varied, the art style is probably not for everyone, but personally I didn't mind too much. The game runs smoother compared to the beta days, some definitely some optimization work has been done since.

    It gets repetitive quite quickly, so don't expect to spend more than a week on it. Well, I feel pretty much everything has been said in the other reviews already, for us who followed the game for a long time, this doesn't feel like it's worth the wait, which is a bummer.    … Expand

    Solo queuing for a ranked dgame almost 100% of the time gives you an afk or a DNC and counts it lmfao. This game is laughable.

Rife with microtransactions to try and entice you to bypass the excruciatingly, interminably slow limited time 'roller pass' progress which results in almost every skater you come across online looking identical because all customisation options are locked behind paywalls and 'loot balls' are few and far between.     Despite couple of things here and there like a crash report everytime you quit the game. This is the most fun game i've played in YEARS. Both casual and competitive, a lot of room for skill improvement and very fun with friends

    One of the most dysfunctional games I've ever seen.
    It's true, the game has foundation, but NOTHING MORE. Tackle hitboxes are purely broken, and the matchmaking is the most nightmarish system of this type I've seen in any game I've played. It's worth giving a try until you actually give it a try, then you'll realize this game's existence is pure nonsense and just a blatant joke.

    Roller Champions is a very good game, beautiful graphics and funny gameplay. At first the game had problems but Ubisoft solved them quickly

    Clunk-ass garbage controls, mechanics don't have any depth, zero teamplay with randoms, no quick chat, the ball doesn't even snap to the player when passing (Example: If you press the passing button and your teammate decides to jump at that exact same moment the ball won't follow your teammate like a magnet but will instead thereof act like you pressed the throw button and launch into aClunk-ass garbage controls, mechanics don't have any depth, zero teamplay with randoms, no quick chat, the ball doesn't even snap to the player when passing (Example: If you press the passing button and your teammate decides to jump at that exact same moment the ball won't follow your teammate like a magnet but will instead thereof act like you pressed the throw button and launch into a random place) which makes the game even more clunky then it already is, you're not able to take the ball off your teammates hands even if he's holding it for a very long time. Maybe add a timer of 15 seconds and after that the ball will automatically be passed when a teammate requests a pass which eliminates that entire problem. Also, it's very hard to tackle your opponents. Maybe add something like the ball cam but for your opponents so you can actually target, and tackle them instead of attempting it with the free cam. Conclusion: Fix the damn game.… Expand

Then, about 2 hours into the game, it hit me - it's because they realize players' enjoyment of the game will come to a screeching halt after a few novelty minutes playing the game, and are banking on maximizing their profits per-player as quickly as humanly possible.     Game is great but suffers from bad matchmaking and crashes. Quickmatch is fun but ranked unplayable as a solo player. Either the game crashes or you get yourself into a 2v3 1v3 cause the other players dont load in. losing half a rank per match cause of mm Issues is rly frustrating.

    Roller champions is a really fun game, however currently there's not enough content / variety for it to be fun for longer periods of time. You will absolutely have a blast for the first 5-10 hours though.

    Needs more content, then it can be great.

    Gra która umarła w dniu premiery. O ksenofobii i rasizmie nie chce mi się nawet wspominać - skoro chcecie tak bardzo robić unisex stroje i nie dawać możliwości wyboru płci to dlaczego 95% przedmiotów jest skrojonych typowo pod kobiety?

    Sama mechanika w grze też jest ultra toksyczna, możliwość obalania przeciwnika kiedy się tylko chce powoduje że są ludzie których obchodzi tylko    Gra która umarła w dniu premiery.     Z technicznych rzeczy? Niejasna odległość możliwego podania - często gra nie zezwalała mi na podanie przez pół długości boiska (bez jakiegokolwiek komunikatu dlaczego pomimo że towarzysz prosił o piłke), brak możliwości podania jeżeli teammate nie poprosi o piłkę, oraz celownik strzału który jest tam chyba jakoplaceholder bo nie ma nic wspólnego z tym jak leci piłka.

    Co do community w samej grze wiadomo że dno, ludzie nie znają podstawowych mechanik gry bo skipują wszystko co się tylko da.

    Podsumowując tę grę w aspektach politycznych - porównał bym ją do Mai Staśko (wiecie o co chodzi xD hipokryzja wylewa się hektolitrami Jakakolwiek męska część stroju jest schowana za paywallem - taka no gender kultura a checie z mężczyzn robić dqueen? Jeżeli nie dajecie możliwości wyboru postaci to może bądźcie konsekwentni i stroje też zróbcie unisex. Mechanicznie gra jest ultra toksyczna i powoduje odruchy wymiotne. To mogłaby być mobilka pokroju rocket league slideshot, a nie pełnoprawna gra na pc i konsole ale ubi już nas przyzwyczaił do wydawania **** od x lat.    … Expand

    Игра очень сырая, ну прям сырая. Вы не получите удовольствие от игры, потому что механики в ней сделаны ужасно. Начнем с ускорения: катаясь на роликах вы можете отталкиваться от земли, чтобы ускорится, здесь же обязаны ускорятся только спускаясь с высокой рампы. Максимально убогая механика, которая при игре в защите просто не позволяет вам защищаться, ведь скорости у вас нету. Отбор: онИгра очень сырая, ну прям сырая. Вы не получите удовольствие от игры, потому что механики в ней сделаны ужасно. Начнем с ускорения: катаясь на роликах вы можете отталкиваться от земли, чтобы ускорится, здесь же обязаны ускорятся только спускаясь с высокой рампы. Максимально убогая механика, которая при игре в защите просто не позволяет вам защищаться, ведь скорости у вас нету. Отбор: он сделан отвратительно, как минимум игра должна помогать игроку делать эти отборы, а не заставлять его прицельно попадать по противнику, это не симулятор охотника, я в футбол на роликах играть пришел, ау. Удары: логично было бы, если бы чем дольше держишь, тем сильнее удар, но здесь это совмещено еще и с точностью, то есть, чем дольше держишь, тем точнее кидаешь, и это ужасно по ряду причин: вы никогда не научитесь кидать мяч со слабой-средней силой броска, вы никогда не сможете попасть точно со средней-слабой силой броска, да и впринципе игра считает вас за долбоеба, ведь кто в мире то умеет бросать мячи???

    К управлению вопросов, наверное нет, управление как управление, хотя я бы посмотрел на разработчиков, которые со скоростью в 60 км/ч смогут прыгнуть, остановится за долю секунды и поехать в обратную сторону. (спойлер: в игре так можно сделать).

    Обучение кусок дерьма, заставляет игрока ждать, и не позволяет ничего.
    В процессе обучения вам включится ебаная кат-сцена, которую вы не сможете скипнуть, а она, кстати, ни на что не влияет, тупо 6 девочек катаются по полю.

    Ну и на десерт, то, зачем эта игра делалась, ОНЛАЙН:

    Удовольствие вы навряд ли получите, только если вы не мазохист, хотя и им приятно не будет, ведь ожидание быстрой игры может достигать до 5 минут. А ранговая игра может и вовсе не найтись :) Порой вас может выкинуть из игры во время загрузки, а иногда и вовсе во время матча. Гарантированно в матче ливнет один игрок из-за этой проблемы. Войс-чат следовало бы вырезать из игры, и сделать его хотя бы по кнопке по умолчанию, не хочется, чтобы вся команда слушала как я занимаюсь своими делами во время катки.

    Закончим мы богохульство донатом, ведь эта игра существует только за счет него, и то под сомнением:

    В игре практически нет бесплатных вещей, за все нужно платить.
    Если вы зайдете в раздел "Roller", то вам предоставят на выбор 3 вещи, НО не стоит спешить с выбором, ведь ваша вещь там всего одна, оставшиеся вещи нужно покупать, лучше бы именно здесь Юбисофт сошлись во мнении с Асос: "Обидно смотреть на то, что не можешь купить, да?". ведь у тебя действительно нет возможности это купить, а хочется.    … Expand

    Matchmaking issues all the time and even if u join in a game you you're gonna lose it for some dumb dude who rage quits on 1:0.
    Game is full of bugs, with a mobile graphics, character design absolutly horrible and limited.
    Gameplay takes no skill, you just click a button for win games, absolutly for braindead people
    Matchmaking takes up to 10 MINUTES to find a game.

    Well now it's my time... so today I felt like it was a good day to try this **** game.
    Well let me say, it was a disaster!
    My friends were losing the game and I must say Î was happy for some moments, but after new whells, new patins, boosts all over the place I was running and they hit my foot ball fell out of my hands. So you are saying me that if someone hits me in the foot, my phone will fall from my hands?????!!!!! No way this is true!
    Not only me that disappointed my friend tope felt the same. Constantly reclamating on the game saying "Que merda de jogo" now he is very quiet and very prepared to go to bed.
    For me I would like a refund! please. Thank you for creating this game, I can see that it must be sad since no one is playing it. Good luck on your gaming adventure if you wish to try this game. For me this was the worst game I ever played. Tomorrow we have desforra and if I win I can comeback and change my critic but for now it will be a 0    … Expand

    Roller Champions has potential, but it actually looks like a very Early Access than a finished game. It almost has no content and its economic system is far from the healthiest on the market. Those who don’t want to pay, will have to grind for long hours just top hope to get hair or a less generic character.

    Roller Champions is a competitive video game with a solid foundation. Its rules and game mechanics are easy to understand and enjoyable. Playing with strangers will be difficult, but in a team with friends with a lot of communication the game turns into something exciting. Its progression system is fair. It will need a community to stay alive and well.

    Roller Champions has got great potential, but it lacks of precise route to realize that potential. The core of the game is good and if played with a team of friends delivers ton of fun, while playing with random teams can be a chaotic and frustrating experience. The matchmaking at the moment is awkward and slow and there's no much content apart 3vs3 matches. Roller Champions is a long shot by Ubisoft, and only support and community will tell us if it will be a Rainbow Six Siege kind of story, or a sad Hyper Scape reprise.
