Rocksmith+ is more of a teaching / learning tool versus the older Rocksmith-2014 that was more "game" oriented. You will play awesome basslines from unique artists in jazz, blues, foreign etc. Supposedly there will be 100's of new songs added a month. So check the Rocksmith+ DLC wiki if you are looking for certain artists before you make the monetary commitment.

Love it. Much improved from OG and 2014. Look forward to them filling out the song library some more.

    The gameplay is great.
It improved the note detection and sound from Rocksmith 2014 by a lot.
The biggest complaint of most people is the limited song library at release. But since it is a subscription based model, they will be adding more songs over time If you want to learn how to play guitar, this is the way, if you don't want to pay an actual teacher for individual lessons. All you

All you need is a guitar and a phone (or the Rocksmith cable or audio interface if you want to play electric).

This new Rocksmith has tons of community features, learning videos and exercises, and an upgraded interface. The song library is not full of hit songs, but there are still a number of great well-known songs to choose from. I haven't experienced any major bugs or problems with note detection, but your mileage may vary.

I'm absolutely getting my money’s worth out of RS+ but there's room for improvements.

There are hundreds of great songs in RS+ already, if one wants to learn to play guitar or bass, unless your goal is to start a specific greatest hits cover band. There's a lot to discover and worth playing. The argument, I don't know any of the songs therefore I have no interest in playing any of

The argument, I don't know any of the songs therefore I have no interest in playing any of them is one I personally don't understand. One of my favorite genres, Metal of the more extreme kind is seriously underrepresented (as of now) but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good song from any other genre, even if I have never heard it before.

It's a great learning experience so far. Note detection is greatly improved over previous editions. The song selection at release has some decent selections, but I'm hoping we'll see quite a few more popular songs soon.

For a beginner guitarist, Rocksmith+ is a godsend.

Rocksmith+ is a far from perfect offering from Ubisoft, but it’s an undeniably effective teaching tool. Learning to play a track through Rocksmith+ offers more fun than staring at the same tab for an hour, but whether or not it has the songs you’re after is another matter entirely.
