    Rocket League came up with a great idea. Throw cars on the field and then play football with them. The game has nice and at the same time undemanding graphics and overall it is such a football racing CSko. Just a competitive game. Maybe I'm not a big football fan, but the mullet is great here and you don't even need a friend. I have often made do on my own, but maybe it will be different for you.     Personally, I don't prefer many online games since they can be very stressful but I like this game. Rocket League is a quite unique game. Game is very competitive. If you win you can feel satisfied, if you lose sometimes you can be a little bit angry. However, matches last around 7 minutes. High satisfaction and intense game for a very short time. If you do not feel like playing the gamePersonally, I don't prefer many online games since they can be very stressful but I like this game. Rocket League is a quite unique game. Game is very competitive. If you win you can feel satisfied, if you lose sometimes you can be a little bit angry. However, matches last around 7 minutes. High satisfaction and intense game for a very short time. If you do not feel like playing the game anymore, you can quit after 1 match. So you do not have to wait for the game to end for 30 minutes just like in Dota 2.… Expand

    Rocket League is a great game, however playing on PC gives you a disadvantage as kbm is not as easy to use and has less control ability than controller. The only other real issue is lag but other than those two things it's incredibly fun.

    personally, i wouldve given it a 10. however, this game isnt for the casual gamer. you have to sink a lot of time into the game to be any good at it. still an amazing game i play everyday, new players will just have a hard time getting into it.

    Consistently fun game. It's cool that you can get cosmetics for free but all of the microtransactions that this game has is insane, blueprints are so dumb lol. Anyways, I've been playing the game on and off for the past couple years and it always is a blast.

Great optimization and no lag for me mostly play casual . Some players use some dumb strats like passing the ball to the center of their own goal post when they are defending or as an attaker they pass the ball to their own goal post:)

    This Game is Awesome with a lot of depth BUT!!! It lacks content. Camera is horrible at times in both views, only 3 maps, Accessory are Terrible that you unlock. No progression, no stats the game needs work. A lot of it!     Rocket League is a great game at its core, but the lack of a free camera mode and the crappy matchmaking system take away a lot of the fun. You get matched against pre-made parties that are a lot stronger than your own team all the time.

    Absolutely brilliant game and a game of the year in my opinion. Graphics and game play are outstanding and the local multi-player is my favorite part of the game. worth every cent of my purchase and hope they bring more to the game such as game modes and unlocks. Overall the game is outstanding and definitely worth getting!!

    Easily one of the most popular multiplayer sports games of the industry. Rocket League is a crazy but fun car-soccer game that is certainly worth a try if you want to diverge from your usual action multiplayers.

    Need to unzoom because the ball is high up behind you? Too bad, you have to either see your car or the ball, not both, in this situation.
    Also, the game is made to be played with a controller. You do have the ability to rotate the camera slightly with a controller, but still barely.

    Overall, the game is absolutely amazing but looses 3 points for the terrible camera, it's really that bad.
    And it isn't worth taking off points just because it's made for a controller or because the bots even on All-Star difficulty tend to be rather stupid and mix teams.    … Expand

So, if you enjoy getting better as you spend hundreds of hours on a video game, Rocket League will please you. There is basically no limit to how much you can improve your skills.

    In addition, the game has very tight controls and fun gameplay. I hated the music, but that’s personal taste. The only reason I did not love Rocket League as much as many others, is that in my opinion, the game at its core is very basic. I did enjoy it for several hours, but I could not take it seriously for longer than that. There is absolutely nothing wrong about making a game with basic gameplay especially when it was executed perfectly like in the case of Rocket League. I just can’t justify giving it a higher score, taking into consideration all the other video games I’ve had more fun playing.

    I don't like the concept of the car + the ball at all, it looks like the free-to-play Roller Champions (game which is not liked by the players in the majority) ...

    Awful cosmetics and style in my opinion. I really dislike that. But that's a personal preference.
    Also rough community. Better use that "mute all chat" functionality.

    Fun game, but it doesn't come close to reaching its potential due to irritating camera controls and a distinct lack of options. For one, I would have liked the option to play without aerial rocketry or the option to play with smaller goals. You can't, there are no options at all.

    The game is great but has the worst community of any video game ever. Psyonix/Epic do nothing to quell the raging toxicity in the game. There is not one line of text in the entire game saying to be civil. They want the madness because they don't give a **** If they do, they should prove it and do ANYTHING to help.

    For a game about smacking balls with toy cars, this is surprisingly competitive. Good for a try, but lost interest as soon as I was assigned a rank and began getting matched exclusively with players above my skill level.

    This game offers a roller coaster of emotions, good graphics & performance, customizable vehicles, normal, ranked and also FUN modes.

If you are wanting a competitive game......STAY AWAY.....There are currently 3 main issues that have existed since beta that have yet to be fixed, and most likely never will be fixed....Note, if not for these issues the game would easily be an 8/10....which is alot, I've never given a game a 10.

    1) Server issues, when many players are on, expect    The game is very fun for casual play.     2) Physics, sometimes the ball physics just fail....which can determine who wins the match.
    3) MatchMaking, some of the worst matchmaking in any online game.........unfortunately, it looks like they can't fix it.

    Nice epic dynamic game, but also has a lot of problems, which can ruined all fun. Servers are in really bad condition - it's almost impossible to find match, where nobody has problems with packet loss or ping jumping. Another problem is physics, which can be totally random sometimes. That's why IMO this game never be good e-sport title.

    It can be a really Fun game but sometimes the physics are just way to inconsistent! For example: You drive straight into the ball and one time it flies up into the air and another time it goes straight on!
    Plus it needs a free cam!
    So it would be ok for 10€ but for 20€ its not good enough in my opinion.

    I give this game 5, but it deserves a 5 after epic bought it, the game went down hill. Before that it's a solid 9 or 10 in my opinion. The game is fun with friends, community is very toxic but that's fine. Game lost it's spirit when battle pass was added.

    This game would be great if its name was changed to "Bad Cameras with Cars and Soccar", because the games mechanics and camera angles are horrendous. Ball and car cams suck.

    In 2022 still is cool but in shop prices are too expensive, on trade you can't retrieve stolen credits and items, from season to season are more ugly items in Rocket Pass.

    Why is this game so overrated? Rocket Leage got boring REALLY fast for me. Maybe soccer games just aren't for me, but this game really has nothing to offer other than car soccer. There's no variety. That's the risk of focusing on one type of gameplay; it can get boring extremely quickly and you'll likely have nothing else to offer. That's why restaurants that specialize in pasta don't only serve pasta, for example. It's easy to turn off a customer who doesn't like their pasta. In short: A unique little concept, but it doesn't have any variety whatsoever and gets boring incredibly quickly. Oh, and before you say anything, why take the time to play a game I'm not enjoying just so I can get better and potentially enjoy it more? I could easily be spending that time on a better game having more fun. Rocket League is, simply put, repetitive. I don't WANT to "get good", because it isn't fun. I don't give a damn if it's more fun as a pro, but if I have to waste 50 hours getting to that level before I find your game enjoyable compared to using that time to play a BETTER GAME, you've failed as a developer.
    tl;dr: Repetitive, and beyond overrated. It simply isn't fun. Why a 4 if all I've spouted is negativity? Because it controls well, the devs aren't trying to swindle people, and it's taking the piss out of FIFA. BUT, that won't excuse the COMPLETE lack of replayability. Every match is the same. Punt the ball to the goal, or use teamwork to punt the ball to the goal. Nothing more, and it gets old FAST. But, in this day and age, people will FLOCK to a game that's simplistic and repetitive. See: Agar.io. You can say it's "simplistic" all you want, but that doesn't make it LESS DAMN REPETITIVE.

Also, Psyonix has one of the worst support in the industry, if you write them an email because they will never answer you, they're busier making new crates to sell than fixing their game.     The devs dont care about the game and the ranked gamemodes suck so much d its crazy. there are so many smurfs and people boosted into a certain rank that its not based on skill but mostly on luck if you get a good or bad opponent. you can get banned forever just for swearing once

    It's fun to bounce the ball around in a random free-for-all, but try playing seriously, and you quickly run into a bunch of issues. The ball and the cars both obey a totally unrealistic physics, where they hang in the air for periods of time far longer than their weight would allow. The ball kicks like a soccer ball, but floats like a beach ball and slows down randomly, making it almostIt's fun to bounce the ball around in a random free-for-all, but try playing seriously, and you quickly run into a bunch of issues. The ball kicks like a soccer ball, but floats like a beach ball and slows down randomly, making it almost impossible for a human to predict where it will land (which is why the devs had to put the white target circles in). This, combined with false camera angles, makes it even harder.
    A bunch of other issues:
    - The devs have lied about car stats, claiming they're all the same, when controlled testing by players has shown they have very different hit boxes, turning radiuses, boost kicks and power slide times.
    - You can play a season in solo mode, but you're not allowed to create a private season with friends - only exhibition games. Why limit our choices to play the way we want?
    - Car AIs behave very differently, and you can't recruit the best AIs onto your team in season mode.
    - The devs have even admitted they use prediction algorithms to 'cheat' by moving the ball and repositioning players in online games to make up for lag and make sure the computers have an advantage. I.e., the computer knows where the ball is going to land, knows where you're going to be in the next few seconds, and can move either thing to make it "right" so the interaction plays out the way it wants it to. No wonder you can drive right at the ball and suddenly find yourself speeding by it.

    In all, the game is cute, but totally rigged against players to increase artificial "challenge". And that gets frustrating quickly.    … Expand

    If you're playing with friends, this is a great game which rewards time put into it with improved skill. If you're playing with random people online, you will have to contend with A) Huge amounts of toxicity and B) Vast numbers of brain dead players who work against you even if they're on your team.

    Both points COULD be greatly improved if the developers were interested. They are not.

    It all goes downhill the moment you go play competitively. If i had to give one piece of advice, TURN OFF CHAT. This Community is some of the most annoying to deal with. You can't save the ball?
    Prepare for 3 to 9 instances of "What a Save!" in the chat from the enemy team! You missed a shot? "Nice Shot!"
    And you must not say anything back, because if you say something slightly offensive, the other person who talked trash first WILL report you and get you game or chat banned.
    Now, this would all be tolerable if it didn't tie into my next point: The Developers, Psyonix.
    Psyonix, the team behind Rocket League, got bought by Epic Games in 2019.
    This brought:
    -A Fortnite-esque item store where every part of the previously established Market for Items was changed
    -A lot more strict chat rule enforcement (which would be good, but literally any trash talk will get you banned, and the type of ban is handed out randomly.)
    and many more, but the worst of them all:
    Epic Games Store exclusive. This meant that the game would be no longer on Steam, would become free-to-play (one actual positive), and would require downloading the horrible mess that is the Epic Games Launcher and Users were forced into using an Epic Games account.
    This wouldn't be so bad if the Epic Games Service as a whole wasn't a terrible experience.
    Your issue didn't get resolved the first time you opened a ticket with our quite frankly, terrible support staff? Too bad, now you wont be able to request help with the same issue again, because you will actually get ignored.

    I dont understand the high scores. Desent gameplay but not all that fun and after every frigging goal a replay that you cant turn of but must klick a button to not see.

    Seems a lot of ppl think its replicate indoor soccer well not any of the 400+ games I played irl.

    Broken multiplayer, unable to login on Rocket League servers, 80% of the fun is gone, maybe when the devs get tired of filling their pockets with money, they will fix the game so everybody could play it online.

    An original game with decent gameplay, and would be fun if it wasn't full of cheaters. The game is ruined by people who can fly with unlimited boost and hit the ball midair from any angle and have it magically go straight into the goal every time. It's sad that these people have such poor quality character that they derive enjoyment from doing this.

    Most overrated game i've ever played, It's really boring, even with friends. The game is so repetitive, boring and toxic that it made me get bored after 2 hours. Unfortunately, i forgot to close the game when I was afk and when I came back, I had 1 hour too much over the refund limit.

    Was a good game up until Epic bought them out - now it's a MTX riddled mess with server problems, match making issues, and forces you to make an Epic account (Epic's store has many security issues related to identity theft in China - very well documented). Very sad to see what's happened to a once great game.

    The game is fun to play. Though as soon as you start to take it seriously the developers have done so little work. The inconsistency in connection,touches,ball touching the ground in the 1 second,connecting to wrong servers,difference in latency between players. Better find another game to spend your time because all these bugs are irritating and not acceptable for a competitive game.

    I have more than 2000h invested in this game and I've been enjoying it a lot. However that 'heavy car' bug that was introduced around 2 or 3 months ago has been daunting me. Psyonix are too busy swimming in their pool of sweet, sweet, crate money to fix the game. Oh, and you can add horrible optimized servers and a disgusting community to the pack.

    Esto va a causar que la comunidad de jugadores en steam deje de crecer y que de a poco el juego muera por falta de jugadores nuevos, causando que todos aquellos jugadores que disfruten del juego no puedan seguirlo jugando en multijugador (lo más interesante de este juego).

    No solo esto, sino que además todo el contenido lanzado posteriormente a este acuerdo que tuvieron con Epic Games Store, será exclusivo para la misma y NO saldrá en steam, haciendo que las versiones de los jugadores que hubieran comprado el título en steam quede incompleta y ya no reciba actualizaciones.
    Por decirlo de otra forma, toda la gente que lo tenga en steam se caga, y si quiere el nuevo contenido lo tiene que volver a comprar, y encima en la Epic Games Store.

    everything in this game is bad. physics are unrealistic, comp matchmaking lets you play against players with 2-9 times more playtime, the controls dont work sometimes and the servers are pure **** i played over 250h and i still cant say this is a good game.

    Do you remember “Top Gear” episodes in which football matches were played using hatchbacks? The same idea is the cornerstone of Rocket League – one of those jewels that do not care for bells and whistles (though it does look great) and Kevin Spacey in the credits, instead focusing on squeezing every last drop of fun out of a simple concept.
