This game is an absolute joy. Fun factor 10/10. Ignore the bad reviews and the slow, cheesy tutorial at the start. Try first person mode. Looks incredible.

This game is the most fun I had in a long time. The sense of speed you have when you drive your bike down a hill with multiple people all around you is so awesome. The map is giant but never feels empty. So much to discover and do.

Moving around does not get boring because you can always change up how you move and the natural vistas are beautiful. Only downside are the dialogues but

Only downside are the dialogues but just ignore those and you will have an amazing time.

Hope this game will get a large community and will get supported for many years with more events, outfits and perhaps even more sports (skateboard for instance). Best purchase I made this year. Highly recommended.

Coming from a guy who generally hates sports games and most open world titles, this game rules.
Almost no complaints, just hope we'll get skateboarding at some point.

Also the recreated national parks are ridiculously gorgeous.

Beautiful open world for fans of SSX, Pro-boarders, Tony Hawk and any other old school extreme sports games. Controls are just easy enough to get started with but reward a bit of practice with technical lines. Definitely recommended.

I'm in love with this game and I hope it becomes more popular because it deserves it.

If I had the opportunity to talk with the developers, I would tell them to put more sports in it like scooters, roller skates, boats or jet ski, iceskating...or funfair games...because anything can be put in this game like those sport tools I mentioned.

The only negative part is the shop is very expensive, so if you wanna buy some new clothes...it's really expensive.

    But in overall 10/10

**One of the best map design in videogame history**. Most of the downhill races feels like its a linear level coz the corners, jumps descend in the open world is so precisely integrated in the open world same goes to skying and snow boarding trickster design is not that good but overall amazing game, a lot of fun and sure feels like something that devs put a lot of efforts too

I gotta say, we all gotta support devs creating such games, as there's currently no such game on a market which makes extreme racing sports so fun and adrenaline-pumping, all from safety of our homes.

Biggest gripe though, the tutorial just drags on and on and on. And you cannot set default cameras for each sport, that would help as I personally won't use first person on flying sports or tricks competitions, but going 120 kilometres/hour on bike or skis is just insane.

cons: mediocre music/radio, souless aesthetic(everything is brightly colored and cringe), some of the worst motion sickness I've had from a game, unskippable cutscenes / hour+ long tutorial

Remember The Crew and The Crew 2? The Crew failed because the world was awful, it was empty and there was nothing to do but they still allowed people to spend $60 until they brought out what they called an "expansion" but then charged the existing player base another $30 to turn their existing games into something at least playable!

Then The Crew 2 came out with Cars, Boats and Planes and once again Ubisoft showed they don't care about getting it right. They just care about giving the illusion of quantity at the expense of quality.

Riders Republic is essentially the same thing with assets from the Assassins Creed and Ghost Recon open worlds wrapped in a game of extreme sports minus the extreme part as there is no injury. When you bump into stuff you just turn 90 degrees left or right and the screen goes grey.

Maybe Ubisoft will learn that people want quality but personally I doubt it and given the aggressive nature of this game i'd say they spent more on behavioural psychologists than on development.

By trying to appeal to everyone they've basically appealed only to the easily pleased but its these players that will try and never play again despite liking it. They have no retention because they operate only on hype and fear of missing out. These kinds of players move onto the next hyped product as soon as it's announced so this game is never going to garner a loyal player base because people don't like being milked if the content is boring.

The 4 is for the idea and the minus 6 is for the terrible execution.

Let me list some issues: Constantly getting stuck in objects and in he terrain while the camera plays hide and seek with you. Checkpoints placed where they don't make sense in the least. Badly designed roads and tracks in the races. Don't believe me? Go watch youtubers who praise the game and have fun but really focus on what they're saying and read between the lines "Who puts a corner there?" "Where is the checkpoint?" "What's up with these controls".

    Multiplayer issues:
Would you believe I had the game since Feb 23rd and haven't been able to join a single mass race? The whole game revolves around multiplayer and I can't even join. Moreover, upon contacting ubisoft they said "Sadly we don't know what's causing the problem." How do you not know what's wrong with your game? Even the code designation you have in the error messages is not helpful? That's just insane. That's my personal issue. The current issues that other players face are disconnections among several other.

The only fun I really had was limited to about 3-5 races where the roads made some sense and when I just explored the map on my own but that gets boring real quick.

I don't recommend buying the game anymore, especially with the new multiplayer issues. If you still going to buy, don't pay full price, it's not worth it.

An arcade-y game with no direction whatsoever. Terrible voice acting, floating NPCs, janky robotic character movements, non-existent character creation and customization. Riders Republic feels like a game from the early 2010s. The graphics are borderline passable for today's standards. Possibly downgraded to the ground due to the online nature of the game. Fully maxed on 2.5k on an RTX3080Ti, everything feels and looks washed-out and no more than 720p in resolution, partly saved by a few beautiful nature shots that, when getting up-close, reveal how awfully detailed they are in reality.

The trick mechanics get old very quick, as you can only perform a limited amount (spin vertical or horizontal). To add on that are the ridiculous physics that allow you to land perfectly a 150Mph speeding bicycle while falling from a 100m cliff without a scratch, while barely touching a tree can send you face-down in the dirt.

Character creation is laughable. With 5 head presets and 6 similar hairstyles, prepare to see your character clone everywhere around you.

The game, even if you paid for the 120$ edition, is fully locked behind paid cosmetics that are released daily, meaning that you cannot customize your character freely, unless waiting like a slave for the daily 4-item customization drop that either requires ludicrous amounts of grinding to buy, or a hefty amount of real cash for the in-game premium currency.

It's Ubisoft. What else did you expect?

Kudos to Ubisoft for being brave enough to release a full-scale game focused on extreme sports – we definitely need more of these. Now for the bad news: like most Ubisoft games, at least half of the content is either superfluous, or underdeveloped. Only skiing and snowboarding are actually good, bikes are tolerable at best, and skydiving is just meh. [Issue#257, p.68]

Riders Republic is a very good extreme sports game, its ambitious and there are loads of contents and things to do with grand challenges online, but they are offered to the player with the Ubisoft style that became a bit too familiar over the years.
