Reason for the score: Game is unfinished.

To put it simply, the physics fall apart when you begin to play with them. If you try anything aside from driving around the track (doing what the game wants you to do) the physics just don't add up. There is not a tire heat system, so don't expect much in terms of simulation. The game is visually appealing, the bikes are beautiful, but the

There is not a tire heat system, so don't expect much in terms of simulation. The game is visually appealing, the bikes are beautiful, but the "Ride" is stuck somewhere between Arcade and Simulation, no matter how much you tweak the driving aids. I would assume the title was pushed out with a barebones setup, it certainly looks promising, but in the long run fails to deliver a positive experience.

Very difficult in the beginning with no credits to upgrade your bike. You really need those upgrades to have a chance to reach a better position when you've finished the tracks. A lot of these bikes are simple unhandlable or perhaps the tracks. I don't know, I played the game on "very easy" difficulty. I guess I'm not skilled enough or perhaps some bikes are better for certain tracks.

A typical game from Milestone’s production line. Improvements over the previous one are visible but never notable enough to call Ride a new experience. [06/2015, p.52]
  2. Russian proverb states that stability is a sign of mastery, but sometimes stability is only a sign of stability. Take Milestone for example: year after year they make games that always get very mediocre ratings. They’re stable to the point that most of their shortcomings can be copy-pasted straight from previous reviews. [June 2015, p.73]

The Italian studio Milestone has developed many bike racing simulations like SBK, MotoGP or MXGP in the last years, but Ride takes a different route and is based on amateur motorbike racing. So it is possible to race on closed traffic roads and some famous GP-courses with over one hundred street bikes. Ride is a good game with nice physics, but unfortunately the sound is weak and there are a lot of bugs.
