    RICO represents a charming shooter, best played in co-op with friends. You and your buddy cop have the mission to kill all the criminals in 24 hours on randomly generated maps.

    RICO offers a very enjoyable, stress-relieving experience where players can live the adrenaline rush of busting down doors to take out drug cartel members. If you can get over the fact that at any second your death means you lose all your progress, there is much to enjoy, with every playthrough unique due to procedural generation. Grab your shotgun and let’s go.

    What a disappointment.

    I wasn't expecting triple A quality here but this game is just very low quality and boring. The problem lies in that    What a disappointment.

    I wasn't expecting triple A quality here but this game is just very low quality and boring. The problem lies in that its the same gameplay loop over and over that doesn't get changed up. You go to a randomly generated location, break down doors, kill enemies that were spawned in randomly, and do other objectives to complete the mission. You do this for how ever many times needed because the mission structure is also randomly generated. That gameplay concept sounds like it could be interesting, but because of this game's low budget and terrible production quality, this game is hurt by:
    -Repetitive environments as the game just consists of rooms and rooms just pasted together from its random generation.
    -Retarded AI, that get stuck, and that sometimes looking in the opposite direction when I would first enter a room.
    -Bad gunplay because the muzzle flash is way to big and obstructive.
    -Sound effects are really crappy with weapons having no punch to them, and items breaking with little to no sound.
    -Animations are incredibly stiff, with reload animations slamming into your own head.
    -Movement is limited, not only due to cramped environments, but a lack of running and gunning.

    They also decided that when breaking down a door, a slowmotion effect would be applied if enemies are in that room. Its funny, because literally like 20 years ago when Remedy Entertainment was making Max Payne, they knew forcing slowmotion when entering a room was awkward and took control away from the player. Yet for some reason the RICO developers were like "Yup, thats fine."

    What could have been an interest concept was botched with terrible execution and a reliance on random generation to make the game more interesting. Just avoid this title. It'll put you to sleep.    … Full Review »

I would give this a better review if there was more to offer, then just kicking down the same doors over and over and over and shooting the same bad bikers over and over. really if you like games where you do the same thing for hours on end, Then play this game to the end of time. and I know how its CO OP but really I just wanted to play this by myself and relax, instead I fell asleep and wasted 2 hours looking at the menu screen.… Full Review »
