If you've always wanted to do Rick's laundry, this is the game for you. [Issue#262, p.59]

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is a short experience, but it delivers on almost all of its promise. Those with a VR headset and little to play will find a lot to enjoy here, even if it's over far too soon.

There’s absolutely nothing new to push Virtual Reality and roomspace VR forward in Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-Ality, and it is painfully short with little replay value. Those indictments aside, it’s a must-have for anyone who enjoys the dark humor of the show. Perhaps we can Get Schwifty with another run at VR with a longer run time and harder puzzles in the future.

The length issue really does hold back Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality. The time spent in game accomplishes exactly what it should: it’s entertaining with plenty of funny moments. Being so short, however, gives the final product an air of disposability. There aren’t any reasons to revisit the game when it’s done, except to goof around with random things in the garage and maybe slap Rick around again. The actual contents of this offering deserves recognition; there just needs to be more. Nothing is more frustrating than getting into a groove with something only for it to end before it feels finis….

Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality's irreverence reminds me a lot of JazzPunk, but more grounded and less adventurous, with all of the good and bad a structure like that entails.

One year after the initial launch of Job Simulator, Virtual Rick-ality doesn’t do much to expand on that VR experience; Owlchemy Labs has applied a new coat of paint to an old foundation. This game achieves its modest ambitions of letting fans to dive head-first into the Rick and Morty universe. While I enjoy the faithfulness to the subject matter, Virtual Rick-ality doesn’t have the depth or variety to make it successful on other levels.

Don't spend over $1,000 just to play this, but if you're a Rick and Morty fan, don't just watch a stream, either. Rob a mad scientist's garage if you have to, but find a way to try it.

Rick and Morty accomplishes something that Job Simulator never did, which is blend its absurdist gameplay with an equally absurdist, though surprisingly well-structured narrative. Rick and Morty is one of the most satisfying games I’ve played in VR, one that I couldn’t put down until I reached the end. It just also feels like an appetizer for a thing that hasn’t arrived yet.

I would dare to say its absolute must play as you will get to interact with many familiar things and you will have several moments when you will be in awe how awesome it is you get to experience Rick & Morty world from first person view. And you will have also many laughs, of course.

That being said, its a 2 hour long experience, where you mostly stand in a garage and you realy dont go on an adventure or anything remotely feeling like true Rick & Morty episode adventure. There are small hints of that, but they are too short and too little.

The price point is flat out greedy at $30 and developers know they can charge it only because its Rick & Morty. Which is fine i guess, but at $20 it would be fair price. $30 is just too much.

So should you buy it ? if you love Rick & Morty and you dont care you will spend $30 for the 2 hours experience, absolutely. There is some amazing stuff in the game. If you care about the price point and you care about value for money, then no. Its not good value for money. There is little to no replay value, even tho the game tries to have some.
One more thing to consider tho, is the fact that the VR experiences must be pricey because there is not huge audience and if we want polished and fun experiences like these, we must support the developers. So if you think about it this way as also supporting development of better VR experiences instead of just value for money, then you should buy it. ( But $30 is still greedy ).
