I was doubtful at first because of the amount of bugs reported, but after the last patch the game goes on pretty well. Just a bit disappointed about the narrative, as the story is not really linear and clear, and also the gameplay could also be developed a little bit more. By the way, it is a great title, maybe just a little expensive as an indie.

Nice to see how good horror game series are progressing recently. Remothered is a gem in this panorama. I have waited long for Broken Porcelain, and I am very satisfied. The developer solved all the major bugs that were presents at launch. Now I recommend the game to all survival horror fans.

The visuals are impressive, the story is full of many unexpected dark twists and the gameplay, albeit unwieldy at times, is very appealing. It surprises me that this title got many negative reviews because of bugs as I haven't experienced any serious issue while playing. However, for all I know, developers are continuously releasing patches. I look forward to the next chapter! Expand

Despite glitches and other difficulties, the game is good. Still needs improvements tho. The story is longer and more rich than in first part, but in my opinion first one is better.

As a huge fan of Remothered saga, my expectations towards Broken Porcelain were high and, despite some minor bugs, they were totally met.

The setting is claustrophobic and makes the whole experience truly nerve-wracking, especially when you have to run away from stalkers. The visuals and graphics are mesmerizing, I think that the developers have improved them a lot comparing to Tormented Fathers: the environments and props look great, the details are well-researched and refined as well. The soundtrack deserves a special mention, it’s stuck in my head!
Highly recommend to all survival horror fans, especially if you have a taste for heart touching stories and stealth gameplay (as I personally do).

I liked it. I thought the story and graphics were great, and the game was gripping and quite challenging. It launched with some bugs that weren't deal-breaking for me, but some others had a worse experience. Still, it's rare to see a game with such a story and production value come out of an indie company, so I'm holding it in high regard. If it wasn't for the bugs, it would be a 10/10.

I LOVED this game!! I was already a fan of the saga, so I obviously bought it as soon as it was out... And yes, it didn't start the best way but let's be fair, they fixed pretty much everything now (and there were no major bugs after just a few days) so I really want to support it because it deserves it!!
Anyway, great graphics, fun gameplay, moving story.. That's what I was looking for

The game is good. The story is perfect and I didn't feel like you had to play the first game. The mechanics and playability are almost the same, with some additions that refine it.
But here comes the problems. All the bad things are bugs and glitches problems, there are also some animation problems.
If they put a patch on it and fix it, it should win the best Italian game. Super

Super recommended. It also has a lot of replayability with 2 endings, collectibles and statues of the characters (my favorites because they are well hidden and make you have to review the scenarios well).
    I hope they fix it.
When they fix it I'll give it a 10.

This game makes me cry: the story is so intense ❤️ Jen and Linn are really cute and their past broke my heart.
I liked also the gameplay which is really anxiogenous. The music and sounds are incredible, sometimes it makes me scream when I was stalked by the enemies. I think that I will buy the soundtrack too: it is beautiful! I like Jen (she is a badass), Rosemary and Red Nun are back, and

He is hard to defeat!
I played the first game too and I recommend to play the two games because if you want to understand the story I think that you need to know everything. In this game many things are revealed about characters and their stories.

Original release state of the game was disaster. But after estimated 30 patches & fixes Remothered: Broken Porcelain became one of the most dazzling & thrilling horror game of 2020. You never forget this story and after ending credits start waiting for third chapter of Remothered.

Update: so after patch 1.4.5 I thought I would give the game another try, after all the release version has been patched over and over so it must be good by now. And no... it's still pretty bad. I don't even know what they fixed. I completely give up on this game and won't be giving it any other chances. I just wish I refunded it on day 1.

By far the worst horror game I've ever played.

By far the worst horror game I've ever played. The game-play mechanics (especially the ones related to combat) are incredibly annoying and unpolished. The narrative is a mess. Menuing is a mess. Opening closets/drawers and picking up items is frustrating and painful. Controls are a mess. Cutscenes make no sense. And on top of it all, the game is filled with bugs.

The developers should have spent another year or so working on this game before releasing it.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain is one of those video games that all survival horror fans should play because it immerses you in a terrifying horror setting, thanks to the graphics and the atmosphere in which it takes you. I played also the first one title of the saga and compared to this, there are huge improvements.

Even with all its flaws, Remothered became my absolute favourite horror series from the recent years.
I hope more people will give it a chance, since the recent patched version plays smoothly, a lot like Tormented Fathers. The biggest downside for me was how certain sections felt linear and scripted. Not many puzzles, the game always tells you what to do without letting you figure it out

I wish the hotel had more rooms to explore. But nevertheless, the heartbreaking story, amazing characters and atmospheric setting is what made my staying at the Ashmann Inn a worthwhile experience.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain is a frustrating, bug-ridden and rather ugly mess. However, it does offer an intriguing narrative and a palpable sense of insecurity, and I wish the same story was retold by another studio with more resources at its disposal. [13/2020, p.47]

It's difficult not to have the feeling of playing something incomplete and sloppy which ultimately, despite some good ideas, does not honor the big names in the horror world from which it is inspired.

Once Jen learns how to use a knife, Remothered stops being scary: instead of hiding from the enemies, you can just stab them in the back. There are also numerous technical problems, like getting stuck in the furniture or being spotted through solid walls. [Issue#249, p.70]
