The game may not reinvent the 2 genres, but it at least matches the standards. The graphics and music also do not seem dated, despite being from 1999. Multiplayer is also a strong point, especially having to counter your friends' use of both on-foot and vehicles.
The default controls are poor and must be changed ("free-look" is a must for vehicles). The replay value is poor, as once you beat the game, there isn't much else to do except multiplayer. The AI Is also a bit like cannon fodder, and are only randomized when they're in a vehicle. Those are the only 3 negatives about the game.
Overall, it's a very solid game, and if you're a fan of first-person shooters like Quake/Unreal/Duke Nukem 3D, car combat games like Interstate '76/Carmageddon/Twisted Metal, or mixtures like Rage/Mad Max/Necrodome, you will love Redline too.… Expand
