AnonymousMCJan 7, 2007Easily one of the finest WWII games I have ever played. Those who do not enjoy this should go back to playing MOH or COD with all the kiddies out there; this gameoffers a genuine combat experience that is both entertaining and involving. If you're looking for something light-hearted and easy though, then this isn't for you.

NunyaBusinessDec 31, 2006RO: Ostfrnot 41-45 is really a TEAM effort game... that is IF you can find a team that doesn't shoot you in the back just for the fun of it. I haven't seen any TEAM effort at all, though on occasion a few people try to make it a statigic game, yet fail miserably due to the idiots who have no clue as to how to work together.

JoeBlowDec 31, 2006Red Orchestra is amazingly realistic, and a lot of care has been put into its historical accuracy. The infantry combat is challenging and rewarding; the tanks are an absolute blast. Definitely the best WW2 game I have ever played.

JanHeidalDec 27, 2006The most immersing WW2 (or any war for that matter) game yet, it feels like you are really there! Sounds, the visuals - everything top notch. Very hard learning curve, but that's a + in my book! Everything shouldn't be easy.

ChrisZ.Dec 26, 2006This is an excellent game. Only the immature and bad players of other games will dislike this. If you can play a game without crosshairs, then you will love this. If not, go back to Counter-Strike where you belong.

BrentSDec 18, 2006One would truly think a game this smelly would had to of been cobbled together in the confines of a Romanian cave and smuggled out to the consumer by Uzbekistanian Gypsies, via a drunken donkey caravan...not uploaded directly to your PC through "Day of Defeat" affiliated Steam. I mean wow condom less sex with a Bosnian hooker couldn

MikeLessenerDec 18, 2006Personally, I love the game. The time it takes to deploy to any map in single or multiplayer takes to long though. I spend 20 minutes waiting for the map to come up and stop deploying in any game.
If there is somehitng I can do to make this faster please tell me. -

LoveG.Dec 17, 2006Wow! The new controls, the ragdolls and the weapons ROCKS! It's a new play feeling that I really like. I would like to have more of these playing feelings in the future. It would be a great success...

JasonDec 14, 2006This is by far the best online war shooter out there, no its not a single player game so dont compare it to one , it was made for online play.If you are a WW2 multiplayer fan its awsome. I love it and its well worth the small price.

BooManGGDec 12, 2006Best and the most realistic WW2 shooter ever made. DoD feels like Quake after this. And this game really encourages teamwork expecially when operating a tank (Mics and headphones with driver and gunner = Best gaming experience ever!) Realistic, intensive and the feeling of "being there"! Must for every WW2 Shooter fan!

ZachP.Dec 11, 2006Its a great game beacuse of how realistic the gameplay is in all situations of the combat.

FuzzyInc.Dec 10, 2006The design of the maps is good and the sounds are also nice. The teamplay is awful as an overview is lacking. Also the maps are pretty big, so it takes a while before you meet the enemy. Furhermore the chosing of the figures you wanne be is not pretty, cause the popular rankings are gone fast (sniper, etc.).

StephenM.Dec 1, 2006Probably the most realistic game you can play. Arcade FPS players, I would not recommend it for you. This game is extremely realistic ala no cross hairs. If you want to be in intense tank battles, call in artillery on infantry, or blow that pesky tank that is killing all of your comrades; this game is for you. A must by for people looking for the most accurate war game you can by.

ZiggyNov 29, 2006Ten gra nie jest warta takich pieniedzy($39.99cdn).Jest bardzo daleka graficznie , technicznie,i jest troszke zanudnawa.Coll of Duty jest gra ktora warto kupic.Latwa jezeli chodzi o klawiature (sterowanie).First person shooter doskonale zaadoptowane.on line tez bardzo dobre.Dlatego moj glos na Red Orchestra jest tylko 6. danielpattenNov 5, 2006ive had the game for monthsand its still not updated enough to play, 24 hours to wait on download of update is retarded. i wish i could get my money back, never buy from this company again, looks cool. but so what if your unable to play in a reasonable amount of time, guess critics didnt have to download the piece of junk

MesserR.Oct 29, 2006The Best! I love this game, besause is realistic. Call of Duty 2 - stupid game, and only for KIDS. Red Orchestra - The Best!

JoshW.Oct 29, 2006This game is solidly built and definately gives you the experience of realism. This is probably the most real a game can get while still being fun to play.

-
JAOct 28, 2006Gameplay is awful. The maps are too large. The bots are stupid. The "Iron sight mode", which was copied from other games, is ineffective. The scenery is plain and clearly little imagination was used in forming them. Tripwire should come up with something good, and stop this second-rate game.

Awards & Rankings
-
I absolutely love the attention Tripwire has given to the small details in the game.
-
There's very little gameyness in RO and a whole lot of gritty crawling along the ground so you can flank over to that machine gunner and allow your team to advance to the next spawn point objective.
-
Red Orchestra is an enjoyable, team-based online shooter for those who like the Battlefield-style games but want a more technical and realistic experience.
